Alpha Tyler woke up today with a burning feeling on his chest. The Ghadozi event was coming up by the next full moon and he was a little worried if there will be anyone to challenge him as the leader of the pack this year.
The Ghadozi is a yearly event in which the alpha of the Mendoza pack is challenged for his authority in an open combat on a full moon with anyone bold enough to challenge him.
Tyler had defended his leadership position three times in the past, except last year when no one came forward to challenge him. Seems they were all satisfied with his leadership style.
One striking thing about last year events was that fact that even if there was no contest for his position there were dissatisfied comments about the fact he was still without a mate.
Finding a Luna (mate) for Tyler had not been an easy task. For over five years his efforts had been futile. Since the death of his mate Sandra in a bounty hunting expenditure he had given hope of ever finding anyone to replace her. He had tried looking for a mate amongst his pack without success. He had even gone outside his pack to look for a mate still without recording success.
Girls always throw themslves at him once they learn of his status but that was a big turn off for him. He needed someone that didn't want him because he was an alpha.
He was still in his thoughts when a knock landed on his door in a drum line manner. He didn't need to ask who because only one person knocks like that, Marcel one of this best friends.
"Hey man" he greeted as soon as he opened the door.
"Hey Tyler," Marcel greeted him back as they shaked hands in a manner that was only known to wolves of his pack.
Marcel quickly made himself comfortable sitting on a long couch that was present in Tyler room. Tyler's rooms was one of the simplest Apha room you could think of. It was a single room with huge bed at the middle. A long couch was also in the room where visitors could seat when they come. He was doing well for himself but most of his money go into an orphanage home where children who have lost their parents due to one fight or an incident are catered for.
"What brings you here so early in the morning? "
Tyler asked with a frown on his face, he didn't like to be disturbed whenever he was in those quiet moment thinking about his life.
"I am sorry I know how much you dislike being disturbed but I couldn't help myself to stay with what I have for too long."
Tyler suddenly broke into a smile when he saw the little hint of fear on his friends face.

"Our pack has been contacted to hunt down a band of notorious killers in Castle black."
"Castle black? That's new, we have never got a job from that kingdom before." Tyler replied with surprise on his face.
"I know, but their king has reached out to the clan and Alpha Luciano has directed that we take the job and act quick "
The Mendoza pack over the years have proven themselves to be good hunters of anyone or set of people. They make money from bounty hunting that was the lifestyle Tyler had carved out for them. They charge according to the number of persons or the stories associated with that person.
Castle black is a huge town made up of predominately humans with no supernatural power. Recently they have been experiencing strange attacks that was already becoming too much with no one claiming responsibility and nothing traced to anyone. It was the last attack which led to the death of more than 200 persons that led to them hiring the Mendoza pack to help track and rid their town of those night Killers.
