Princess Avura woke up inside a a dark room with hardly any ventilation. She struggled to remember what must have happened to her. When she did remember she sprang up to her feet and kicked the door open with the little strength she had left. Worry for the safety of master Dee Instantly clouded her mind. She came out to circle around the place she was kept. She could tell it was a castle but an abandoned one. She wonders who must have had the guts to abduct her and what must have happened to master Dee. As she moved around her ears picked up a sound coming from a nearby room.
She slowly but steadily moved towards the sound with a pen knife in her hand which she removed from the sole of her shoes.
She walked into the room to notice it was a kitchen with a teenage boy cooking something on the fire.
"Who are you? " she thundered pointing the knife at him ready to pounce on him anytime.
The teenage boy instantly dropped the big spoon in his hand when he heard her voice. He turned slowly to look at her with his hands raised up.
"Please don't harm me, I am not among them" he pleaded tears forming in his eyes immediately.
"Then who are you? " Avura repeated maintaining a menacing look on her face.
"My name is... Leo, a native... of this... kingdom" he stammered
"What kingdom is this? " she asked curiously.
"Castle black people often call it castle town. but its Castle Black.
"Castle black? A human kingdom? How did I get here?" Avura asked in fear. She knew she shouldn't be in a human kingdom especially now that are mood is not stable.
"I don't know, I was in the kitchen when they brought you here yesterday night. I was asked to prepare something for you before they left this morning."
"Who are they?" She asked curiously.
"I can't say, all I know is that they are a team of vampires led by fierce man named Taurus."
"And what are you doing amongst a team of vampires" she asked curiously trying to make sense of his statement.
"I was forced to serve as their cook. They promise not to harm my family if I work loyally for them and that's what I have been doing for the past four days. I was told after today I can leave" he replied nervously as he started backing out from her pointing at her face.
"Where are you go to? " she asked confused on why he was backing out.
"Your eyes are turning red" he muttured trying his best not to scream.
Avura rushed to a nearby mirror to see her reflection, of a truth her eyes were turning red. She knew what it meant, She was becoming hungry and she needed to feed. She knew in that state she will end up killing Leo if she feeds on him so she tries to control herself. Now she understood what he meant by preparing a meal for her, he was the meal but he didn't know.
" Is there anywhere I can get blood? " she demanded in raised tone her hunger suddenly messing with her head. For a vampire who had been living on a limited amount of blood to be suddenly exposed to the toxic content of a vervain it was sure this sudden hunger for blood will come.
Leo trembling pointed at a door. She quickly rushed to the door to see an heap of dead bodies. Some decayed and others freshly killed.
She scavenged the freshly killed humans looking for every single drop of blood she could get. It wasn't in the practice of vampires to feed from already dead people as they always like finding their own meals but she had no choice if she was to prevent herself from not killing Leo.
After fifteen minutes of scavenging she became satisfied. She came out and to her surprise Leo was still there. she expected him to have ran or hide somewhere.
"Are you not scared of me?" She asked
"Just a little" he replied with weak smile. I have been around vampires for four days. I know some are nice and others are not.
"That's good to hear" She said satisfied with the fact she didn't strike fear in him. She put her pen knife away as she reasoned she wouldn't need it for a human. She looked around the place an escape plan itching on her mind.
"You don't have to think of escaping. They are all gone so you can freely just walk away."
"That's strange, what strange fellows, why will they abduct me and just leave me here. It doesn't seem right. I must look for a way out...
She had barely completed the statement when her ears picked up some strange sounds. They were animal like sound mixed with some form of human sound. Her instincts immediately told her she was under attack.
