Apon waking up Dell noticed something very different. He suddenly was in alot more clothing then before. He planned to change anyways, only keeping the odd top on to mess with Zephyr, but he was sure he hadn't changed yet.
"How the-" Dell began, but was interrupted.
"I ate your previous clothing, and it seems I'm able to make you new clothes. It acts like a beasts hide. So it provides some protection without weighing you down, and allows me to talk and see freely"
Dell sighed with a grin. "Guess he really hated that shirt" He thought. He wanted to see how it looked, it didn't feel heavy. He walked around searching the cupboards hoping for a mirror. To his luck, he fount one.
What he saw wasn't quite what he expected. He was now in a set of armored garbs, his chest, shoulders, shins, back and colar covering his mouth was made of a harder material. It looked like the rest of the costume but apon feeling it the material was as hard as steel, yet light as cloth. The bottom of the garbs were jagged and spiked, leather straps coverd his boots wich kept the hard caps, fingerless clothes coverd his hands. All fitted perfectly, just like a beasts hide. It looked like it was made of a thick cloth and leather, but Dell was certain it was made of previous monsters hide.
It was mostly black with accents of red, wich his icy blue eyes contrasted strongly.
"Seems you do have a sense of style Zephyr. Or you just took a guess based on previous clothes I've worn?"
"I took abit of a guess. Glad you like it, because functionally it's amazing" Zephyr stated.
Dell rolled his eyes. The hunter made his way downstairs, if it was morning then it was time to head out.
"How do you hunters know when it's day and night? Isn't it always night?" Zephyr asked as Dell walked towards a window.
"The lanterns. They turn off during Zeliths night time. And it seems it's time to go" Dell ate some rations from his bag, double checked he had his invitation and map, then left the large building.
He decided to avoid beasts for the time being. He was aware he was much stronger after eating the infected and gaining some useful armor, but he didn't want to waste time.
He kept a decent pace, not quite jogging but not simply walking either. The way out was mostly empty farm land, steering clear of beasts he took note of large animal pens. Huge cows with multiple heads, the same orange eyes as all beasts, rows of jagged teeth and large scars across the sides of thier bodies filled the pens.
"I could probably handle them, but let's not waste time"
"Agreed"
Dell shortly fount himself at the edge of the farm, wich to his surprise was only blocked off by a small wooden gate. Looking side ways it seemed to wrap all around the farm.
Dell would step over and look ahead. A stone path laid ahead lined with thick forrest on both sides of it.
"Well, only way is forward. Can't really fuck that up" Dell said aloud.
And so, the hunter continued his walk. Lanterns hung from the trees and a mist was starting to form and get thicker the further in he got. A sense of curiosity compelled him to walk into the forrest, however he resisted the urge and kept walking along the stone path.
He was a very much task oriented person. Getting him to detour from a goal he already set was pretty difficult.
"I swear this looks like a shitty scene from an old horror movie. What's next, a guy with a mask and machete attacks me?" Dell said with a chuckle, this time actively attempting to talk with Zephyr.
"I don't believe I understand what you're referring to. Is it common for masked men to attack people in forrests?" Zephyr asked.
"It might be, I've not been to many myself. But I was referring to a movie someone showed me. You'd be surprised what you can find in this place"
