"Train and study hard! I truly hope some of you pass soon" Lord Zion finished, and with that walked out the room.
Most people quickly left, other then Dell, the odd few hunters, the odd few in white and those in casual.
"You aren't rushing off to ask Lord Zion questions?" Max asked.
"The guys already far fucking gone. I'll have better luck asking somone who's been here awhile" Dell would turn around, rest his arm on the back of his seat. "Care to help a newbie out?"
Max would chuckle. "You're an odd one, but sure. Ask away"
"Where's this strength test?"
"Oh? Well follow me, I really didn't think this would be first"
Max got up and began to walk with Dell keeping up. As the pair walked Max gave a tour of sorts.
"There's three main floors to this floor. The bottom is for studying, the second is for physical training and the third is where the strength test is"
The pair came to a set of stairs and made thier way up. The second floor was split into four sections. One was dedicated to strength training, lifting weights and the likes.
One was dedicated to stamina training, treadmills and skipping rope was pretty common.
Another was dedicated to sparring with weapons, be it swords, maces or pole arms.
And the last was dedicated to hand to hand combat. Each room had three teachers, each had different clothes with the only thing in common being a blue star located somewhere.
"Whats with the blue star?" Dell asked.
"It shows that they are strength based teachers. Blue books are for intellect based teachers" Max explained.
"What about will power?"
"How can you teach will?"
Dell nodded as the pair made it to the final stairs. The top floor was one large room, similar to a large hall in a school whereas the other floors prior to this had a more comftable sense to them.
In the centre stood a muscular woman wielding a staff. She wore a black sleeveless top with a red star on the back along with black joggers and no shoes. Her short black hair was a spiky mess.
Her bored blue eyes met Dell's cold blue eyes.
"You're a new face? Here to get your ass handed to you?" She asked.
"Something like that" Dell said as he dashed towards her.
Max was shocked by Dell's actions. But he couldn't help himself. He wanted to know how strong she truly was, either to pass the first test now or to understand how much stronger he needed to get.
Dell began with a barrage of punches wich the woman avoided by stepping back and spinning her staff in front of her in a defensive manner.
Dell quickly stepped around her to attack from the side, to wich she attempted to counter by thrusting the staff at his chest.
Dell avoided by by taking a stance wich faced her side on. Continuing his approach and throwing a punch. The woman ducked and slammed the staff into his leg.
However he ignored this and protracted his gauntlets, sending his fist flying into the ground. She kicked the ground to send herself out of the way. Dells first left a hole in the ground.
"Damn. Guess I've underestimated you, but you're far from passing. All that brute force doesn't amount to much if it isn't used right"
The fight quickly changed pace from thier. Each punch Dell threw was easily avoided and countered, any kicks he threw would get him knocked to the ground and if he blocked he would receive several strikes to wherever wasn't guarded.
The fight slugged on like this for five minutes, then ten minutes, then twenty until eventually a harsh strike to the knee made Dell fall to the ground, her staff pointed at his head.
"You've got endurance and a good punch. But you waste to much energy, you aren't as fast as you could be and lack technique. I am honestly surprised you lasted so long, you even got close to hitting me a few times"
Dell nodded through pants, catching his breath and slowly getting up.
"At least the hide definitely works" Dell said.
"Of course it did, why doubt me? My one goal is to make sure you don't get us killed"
"You're an interesting one. Not quite one of the infected, yet a beast has literally infected you" The woman said.
"I'd explain, but I'd like to rest" Dell responded.
"Feel free to try again, one of the best matches I've had for awhile"
Turning around to leave Dell noticed Max seemed quite uncomfortable. What he was slower to notice was the woman with piercing ruby eyes glaring right at him standing next to Max.
She wore casual grey clothes, had long black hair and her skin was white with the slightest tan to it. What stood out most to Dell was that she had a sword on her hip and angry ruby eyes.
"What the fuck could it be this time?" Dell said aloud.
