Kai looked down the hall holding onto Jack's arm tightly worried what her dad might say or do about the news they were about to tell him. Jack felt her grip tighten on his arm as he looked down to see she was worried. He put his hand on hers. "It's going to be okay Kai. Well, speak to him and no matter what we'll get through this. Okay?"
She looked up at him with a slight smile. "Okay. I trust you, Jack." she kissed his cheek softly. Jack took a deep breath with a random cough fit for a moment; it was very odd to him, but he thought of it nothing more than jitters.
"Are you alright?" asked Kai looking at him concerned.
"Y-yea. It must be all the stress. I'm fine." he knocked on the door and waited for Marek to answer.
