Youden stared at the blank white wall, alongside two other generals. There were all currently inside a former bunker within Ohlave City, which was recently completely captured after about two weeks of fighting. Apparently, the government had sent out an order to fight until their army either ran out of bullets or energy to use their powers, which caused drawn-out battles between each house and building. Damn, the thought of losing countless men was starting to piss the man off, as Youden clenched his fingers in mental fury.
"Sir, are you alright? The presentation will begin shortly." an aide was at his side, causing the leader to take a deep breath.
"Yes, everything's good." the man shooed him away, before turning to his generals. "Now, what again was this presentation supposed to actually be about?"
"Ah yes, apparently we're now implementing more of that video recording among certain groups of our armies. It's to showcase our progress as well as enemy weakness." one of the generals explained to him. "I would believe it to be very resourceful, sir."
"I must agree, we can learn a lot of information from both sides." the next general added, just as the lights in the room started to dim.
The three men, as well as the other assistants with them, got silent and stared towards the glowing white screen being projected. A quick countdown in black and white appeared as Youden's interest was starting to peak with such technology. Once it finished, the shot stayed in the same color and was instantly taking place in some urban environment, as the group could watch their forces firing from behind buildings. The recording slowly panned towards where the group was laying siege to, a low-rise building, as a heavy tarr appeared in the frame before firing a shell so powerful, that the recording started to shake and caused the camera crew to pull back.
Just before the group could see what was going to happen next, the scene transformed into an open field with the group watching their enemies retreat in the opposite direction on foot, while their forces were chasing behind inside of carrs or on top of tarrs. Youden could actually see evidence of his army attacking the weaker forces ahead, mowing down anyone they could and gaining upon the enemy.
The next and final shot transitioned not on the ground but to an aerial view of a destroyed city. Youden and even the generals were a bit perplexed at how something could be recording as so until it was shown it was through a special cut-out inside an Ariocaster.
"This-, this is absolutely incredible." Youden could not even begin to start, as the recording showed the bombs being dropped onto the landscape below, with the explosions being minuscule from above.
Looking back at his generals, Youden knew that they had the same thoughts as him. Getting up just as the film was ending, Youden had a grin on his face before going towards the aide responsible for sharing this with them.
"I want every army group to at least have five of these video things." the man pointed back towards the wall, signaling what he wanted.
"I understand, sir. We'll get it done immediately." the aide saluted him, before leaving the bunker alongside two other guards.
"As for you two," Youden turned to look at the generals. "Get these films or whatever it's called and send them to all military academies to be studied and analyzed for future recruits. I like what I'm seeing!"
Giving him a quick salute, the generals were followed by even more guards out of the building, as Youden continued to stare at the wall. Perhaps these recordings could be used for other purposes, and maybe even deceive those against him. It would only be a matter of time before something came to fruition and could be implemented in the field. But until then, there was still much to learn and more land to be taken in this world.
