Pacing himself cautiously on the wall, Leon did nothing but stare back into the city. Why watch what was outside, when you knew what the result would be each and every day? Plus, he had Sera doing that for him, as he watched the woman curiously.
While standing in the direction of the airport, the woman already had her sword out, and practiced that move that resembled a forcefield, twirling the blade as fast as she wanted it to. Such insane skill, and she was here with him, waiting for the day to finally take those people past this point out of the nation.
"So much fun, huh?" Leon joked.
"Having the time of my life." Sera didn't even look back, focusing on her movement, "Say, we get off in like thirty more minutes, right?"
Checking his watch, Leon confirmed the news as true. Only a bit more, could he then rest for the day, and much needed from the little action about. This boredom was after all, much better than actually fighting and potentially dying for some insignificant battle. That would be just fine, as the breeze started to pick up. I wonder what that man Hops or even the others were doing, Leon couldn't help but chuckle out of curiosity. They must be having a decent time for themselves.
.....
"Up, up, up!" The small crowd roared in the small space.
The location was packed, as the group was watching Ryan Feli, mainly known as Hops, slowly pushing himself up with 3,450 pounds of weight after doing fifteen reps of squats. The insane mass was so heavy, that they had to make a specialized bar and even then it was bending as if waiting to snap at any second. Even with this godlike strength, no one knew if he could collapse or worse with it, as six men on both sides were there prepared for that scenario.
"Come on Hops, you got this!" Brat was looking into his eyes, cheering him on.
"Yeah!" Fonda said in agreement.
The man continued grinding, as the veins on his legs were bulging through the skin. So close to failure, Hops yelled with all his power, as he managed to just get it back to the starting position. Instantly, the men on each side grabbed the weight and set it aside, just as Hops fell onto the ground.
"Wow, that was pretty tough, I can't lie." Hops took a breath before anyone could help him up. "What was that, three hundred more pounds?"
"From your last PR, I got to say, I've never seen someone with such leg strength in all my years. You should compete once we free back Saputa." the gym owner patted his shoulder, as the men began unracking the weight.
"Maybe, I enjoy beating up the wrong side, I can't deny that." Hops laughed, as the younger duo got his duffelbag.
"I heard Jamal's coming back today. That must be good." Fonda chimed in.
"Oh wow, he's usually never away from those gates from what I hear." the gym owner was a bit shocked, "Regardless, I can't wait to see what he's coming up with unless you want to spill the beans?"
"I can't say, he hasn't told anyone, except for the advisors with him. It's extremely important that no one really knows, I would think as why." Hops shrugged his shoulder. "Anyway, it's been a good one. I'll be back in three days."
"Make sure you rest well, and I can't wait to see more from y'all." the owner added, as the crowd watched with admiration for what they witnessed.
...
The sound of blanks filled the building, as Alice stood against the room wall, watching intensely. The latest recruits towards the rebel forces were getting the last bit of training before it was official, as she could see Heskins and that rebel woman assisting the pair. It took her a moment to comprehend what had really happened since she had recovered in the carr, but apparently, the woman decided to just move on from the rest of them. At least until quite coincidentally, the revolt began. Beai decided that she wouldn't stayed lax in her new freedom, as she truly still wanted to help fight Youden after her service in the south. And that brought her to the day of being a firearms instructor for their forces. All things coming together. As for her, she was simply here because she was told Hops would come meet her nearby within the hour.
"Alright, good work. Weapons down!" Beai shouted as the group listened.
They would hopefully be in good hands, Alice couldn't say much but grin at their work, as she moved from the wall. It would be time soon before things would be back to normal. Or some type of it, sooner than later.
