Chapter 213 - Never Waiting Again

Jamal was still dozed out, until he felt a light rubbing against his leg. Attempting to ignore it, he slightly brushed at it, although it continued happening, to which he slowly rubbed his eyes to see what was going on. Turns out it was just Ula, as she was attempting to wake him up by rubbing him softly.

"Finally, you're up." he could hear Leon speak to him.

Wiping his eyes, he could clearly see that some of the people with them, including Alice and Hops weren't in the vicinity within the carr. I guess they must have been taking a small break of some type, he quickly connected the dots as he pushed himself up.

"If you're wondering about the others, they're getting breakfast for us." Heskins finally greeted him, as he stared outside, "They should be coming back within the hour."

Nodding in agreement, Jamal could see that they were actually in a small town of sorts, as Leon opened the door for him. Hopping out, he took a quick look around until he found what appeared to be an outdoor bathroom.

"You're gonna need this." Heskins ensured him, handing him a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Thanking him, Jamal made his way into the installation away from the carr, and conducted his necessary business. Once he was done, he reached the sole small sink as he cleaned his hands and started brushing his teeth. Looking into the dirty mirror, he could see a man that had potential that he had yet to unlock and a need for more power, and also someone who definitely needed to wash their face. Chuckling at the thought, he wiped his face as he finished cleaning himself before walking back out.

Reaching the door of the carr, he returned to see only Ula and Laken inside, as everyone else had disappeared. She turned to look at him, as Laken was still asleep beside her.

"Where did they go?" Jamal asked.

"They went to go find the others; they should be back soon." Ula lightly smiled at him.

Returning the favor, he decided to sit next to her and get to the bottom of everything going on between them. If there wasn't a time to do it, now was that time.

"So, you remember everything?" Jamal began to ask her, taking a deep breath before saying it.

There was a brief pause of silence, as Jamal continued to stare at her. Ula face's was a bit scrunched up, before it began to relax.

"Yeah, I think so. Since the whole "incident" and all of that." Ula nodded in recollection.

"Well, in that case, I should make sure you're okay then." Jamal continued onward. "Right?"

"I'm fine, really." Ula smiled at him again, touching his leg. "Don't have to worry about me anymore."

"I'm so sorry for all of this. I wish I could go back." Jamal sighed in frustration, "I should have been a better fiance."

"Jamal, I overreacted. Don't really blame yourself for all of this. We both had problems that we should have addressed and worked on." Ula believed as she moved closer to him. "You're still the same person to me after all."

Jamal looked into her dark eyes, as her skin glowed around the quiet setting, despite her own actual powers. She still was gorgeous, despite the transformation that occurred during the lost contact between them. They both looked at each other deeply, as both of their heads got closer. Before they even knew it, they were making out with each other intensely, and it was as if all their problems had disappeared.

After the tense moment, Jamal pulled back as Ula was holding onto him tighter. He really did miss this after all, Jamal was glad to figure out, as Ula pushed her hair back.

"I can't believe you stopped so quickly. It looked like you wanted some more." Ula began to move closer to him again.

"I mean, I do, but I don't even know what we are after this. Just because it looks like we have feelings for each other still doesn't really mean much, does it?"

"What are you suggesting?" Ula began to pull back slightly.

"Not to ruin the mood, but I don't think you would want to get back with me so quickly. I think we at least need some time." Jamal had to assume.

"Really? But I actually missed you, a lot. Jamal, I don't want to be the reason we aren't together again." Ula had placed her head on his chest.

Jamal didn't even respond back initially, as he wrapped his arms around her. Was he doing the right thing, or could they not just get back together without any more problems?

"You know Ula, I'm pretty sure that it could actually work out. I just have to do better, and not falter. I promise you, the man you loved is still there." Jamal laid down with her.

Ula just smiled back, as she moved closer before they continued kissing each other. A few minutes passed until they heard the door be unlocked, and were greeted by the rest of the group. There was no time to rearrange themselves, as they pulled off each other and looked at everyone.

"Um, welcome back?" Jamal quickly announced before anyone could even comprehend the situation at hand, "What are we eating on this wonderful morning?"

"We could really be asking what are you eating over there." Jamal could hear a voice from the group joke at. At least it didn't look as bad as he assumed they might have taken it, which was good for everyone as a whole. The way things were meant to be.
