Jamal itched himself up the couch when he rubbed his head against the end. He didn't even remember where he was, until one of his eyes noticed a woman at the corner of his view, drinking something out of a mug. She looked familiar, but he couldn't tell.
"Do I know you?" he asked from the couch, as he tried moving his body off the couch, but everything just felt tired.
"Jamal, you're playing with me." the woman laughed off, as she sat next to him while putting the mug on a nearby side table.
Jamal was confused with the woman moving closer to his face, looking at him funny before her lips touched his. He couldn't even squirm out the way, as she parted from him. She just smiled, as he heard another noise away from them.
"Pa?" a young boy's voice called towards them, as Jamal looked towards him. Who was this now?
"Hello?" Jamal confusingly asked.
"Don't mind if I do." another person behind him said, as the person moved towards a counter.
Jamal was confused. How many people were in this building, he wanted to know. At least he was getting some more control in his body, as he began to ease himself up. As he was about to finish straightening his posture, the man came back with a cup of cold water.
"What's that for?" Jamal asked before the man dumped the cold water on him, "Ah, Heskins what the heck!"
"Just a side effect from a power crash. Temporarily losing one's memory for a bit, unless you shock them quickly enough, then you don't have to wait several hours for it to wear off." Heskin causally said to the confused group."Just common knowledge from where I'm from."
Jamal just shook his head in confusion, as he looked around. Ula and Laken were here with them, but something was off. Where were the others?
"Hops and Brat? And Fonda? Where are they?" he got up, as he beginning looking around the cabin, before remembering it was mainly ruined.
"Last time I saw them, was maybe yesterday. They're fine, they barely got through scathed. I think a bomb dropped behind their building." Heskins recalled. "I can see if they want to come over. They did want to see you again."
"Why not? About time I see some old faces." Jamal grinned, as Heskins nodded and prepared to walk out. "Wait, before you go, why don't you bring Laken along? I got to catch up on some things and I don't want him in the way of anything."
Heskins called for Laken to come with him, as Laken stared back at Jamal. He nodded back at him, as Laken grabbed Heskins's hand after putting on a jacket, before leaving the home. Once they were gone, Jamal turned back towards Ula.
"What was that about? You wanted some personal time?" Ula questioned.
"Not much, but I really wanted to see how bad it looks inside here after missing you for a while," he replied, before kissing her.
"Mmm, is that so?" Ula laughed off, as she pulled him closer to him.
They stayed together for several minutes, as they were making up the time they were apart before something knocked on the temporary door they set up. Jamal sighed, as he pushed off her, and peered outdoors to see Lero standing outside. More conflict today, great.
"Uh, hey there, Lero?" Jamal came up with once he creaked open the door, "You needed something?"
"Possibly." the man noted, as he invited himself inside while noting the surroundings. "I know you don't bloody live in this. It's disgusting."
"It didn't look like this, trust me I would know," Jamal replied back, while Ula quickly straightened up, watching the conversation.
"Sure, mate. Anyway, I looked around for parts and found barely bloody anything. Nothing here of value here, just pissing away my time here. Speaking of pissing, anywhere I can use the jolly?" Lero moved around the house with comfort.
"If you mean the bathroom, it's down the hallway. Be careful, it's a mess I think still." he began to say, but Lero had already moved towards the direction before he finished.
"He still isn't happy with Heskins is he?" Ula assumed as Jamal sat next to her.
"Probably so, but I think they can work it out. I think it's all a misunderstanding if anything at all. The real question is that we need to make sure he doesn't stay here." Jamal told her, as Lero came out a minute or so later.
"Ah, I feel relieved now mate. Now, can I stay for a bit until I find those bloody parts, or wait, no I bloody can't from the sound out it!" Lero shouted at them.
"Look, I didn't even invite you into my home, and we don't have space right now for more than three people, me and my family only. I can help yo-" Jamal began to say.
"But your sand primate can? You bloody liar!" Lero roared at him, causing Jamal to get up.
"I think you got to go Lero. I can't have you here like this, especially if my son was around. You're not in the right mind, likely from the crash." Jamal rebutted, causing Lero to get madder.
"Oh you'll bloody get it now, you littl-" Lero began to move towards him until the door knocked again.
Jamal eyed Ula, who got up to check who it was, before opening it with Heskins returning with Hops, Brat, Fonda, and Laken.
"I told yo-" Heskins began to say, before looking at Lero. "I, I'll be back in a bit, I left something over, uh, there."
No one said a word, as Heskins hurried off back into the town. Jamal could only say nothing, as Lero spat at his feet before walking out soon after.
"I would say welcome back, but what was that about?" Brat wanted to know, looking back.
"Forget about them for the moment. I just want to say I'm glad to see everyone is alive." Jamal greeted everyone with hugs.
"This man always pulling something off." Hops fist-bumped him, "I'll say you have a lot to share."
Jamal just shrugged it off, as he cleared his throat once they finished their greetings. It's time we stop holding this off, he knew, as he began to speak.
"I wanted to call everyone here after, well that event, because I planned to this around that time, but I think I need to say that the Viligantes Of Power need more members." Jamal told them honestly.
