Beai stared at a letter received about another failed attack when someone knocked on the door. Calling for them to come, she saw Jamal arrive with a few rebels by his side.
"You guys struggled against that? I didn't even need their help, at least not yet." he commented.
"You took the town back already!" Beai exclaimed in surprise.
"I mean, they weren't really good, so it's a miracle it was taken care of quickly, just arriving before the sun comes down. I think I'll get the next two tomorrow if possible."
Jamal watched as Beai stood up slowly, before looking dead in his eyes. She probably assumed he would need some help, but if they were losing to a few soldiers like this, then it wouldn't work at all.
"You took out the easiest town of them all. The other two are much more secured, and I bet they'll probably send more down here now knowing that you're here." Beai replied.
"And how is that so?"
"You really think that they would displease Youden in the slightest? Some of them will fight to the last breath for him. I don't know where you've been these last few years, but Youden has squeezed every drop of hope left in Saputa, except for here. This is all we have left to get it back."
"With what I've seen, you guys need some actual leadership with actual skill, to be honest."
"Are you saying I can't lead this force?"
"I mean, if you couldn't take that back, then yes."
Beai went to him, before attempting to slap his face, which he simply grabbed her arm, which shocked her. Jamal just sighed in shame, as he let her arm go.
"If you refuse to help me get back to my family, then I'll find another way." he sighed again, about to exit the door.
"Family? Your parents would want you to fight for this moment!" Beai attempted to plea with him."
"No, I have a son that needs me. And if you won't let me get back to him, then I don't know how I will." he sniffled a tear, and grabbing his bag he left inside, before leaving the building.
Beai rushed behind him, as she saw him beginning to walk down the road leading north, closer to Youden himself.
"We have an Ariocaster!" she cried out, to which he turned around.
"Ariocaster?"
"The flying vehicle? We have one of those that could get you back, but we really need those two towns back to at least give us a chance to get Saputa back. Please Jamal, just these two for us."
Jamal stared her down, before looking back where Suruthum was. He could return, and most likely never come back to Saputa, or he could help and delay his time to seeing Ula and Laken again, and possibly die in the process, but allowing for a return of Saputa to come. He took a deep breath before coming up with his answer.
"What needs to be done?" he asked, facing a smirking Beai.
