Jamal was awake again, just in time as the vehicle turned off the long and huge road, and off into a more stone-like one. He didn't even know where he was still, as he had already searching inside the space. Nothing, but that one box, a pallet, and a bunch of dead bugs inside. Shivering, he began to pull his cloak up closer to him, as he lightly began to warm himself up carefully. He already had a simple plan, find where he was, see how far he was from home, and then finding a way back there. Knowing that he probably wasn't going to get there by sea unless the boat somehow didn't get attacked, his only other option was by air.
He could hear the vehicle make a faint sound, as it began to slow down before stopping. He heard some door open, before it closed, and then for a brief second, laughter, before it disappeared. He stumbled back up carefully, his head brushing the top of the tarp. He quietly moved out of the tarp-covered opening and saw several buildings around him, and the vehicle parked between multiple other ones, in front of what appeared to be a bar. This would be his best chance to get his surroundings.
As he recovered himself in the cloak, he could feel multiple tears inside, no doubt from the fight earlier, as he walked inside. It was quite loud, with multiple people cheering and laughing about with some music playing, as he quickly went to find a seat up by the bar counter.
"Whatcha want?" a woman asked him.
"Uh, nothing really? I'm just looking for a map." he eyed around, despite being very hungry and thirsty.
"Not from here are you?" she asked as she went into a room in the back.
"No." he lied.
"Well, I found a map anyway." the woman said, coming back with one and handing him it.
He nodded, as peered down at the former country of Saputa. The name Saputa was scratched out with Yodenia, as much of the map changed as well. He could see Suthurum marked as occupied, although it wasn't true. How was he going to return there?
"We now want to bring your attention to the following alert." a loud noise boomed inside the building.
Jamal turned around instantly, while everyone was still minding their business. Where was that sound coming from?
"One of the most wanted criminals, Jamal Wrint, for attempted murder on our dear Leader, Youden Qey, is currently somewhere in the Autocratic Kingdom of Yodenia. He has dark skin and was last seen wearing a dark thick cloak and clothes, whose powers are believed to be manipulation of fire, but it's possible there are more. If you have seen him, report him to your local authorities and do not approach him. Otherwise, be on high alert. Stay safe and be watchful!" the voice announced, before cutting back to some music.
Suddenly, everyone turned to look at him, since he was the only dark-skinned person in the room as it got quiet. Jamal looked back at the woman, who just stared back at him.
"If you don't mind, I think I'll be on my way and just be careful out there." he calmly tried to tell them, as he slowly got back up with the map in his hands, not going to return it.
"Hey! He's wearing a cloak from the description!" someone cried out.
"It's not what it looks like." he began to reach for the door before an icicle pinned itself above his head.
"It's Jamal! Get him!" another voice cried out, with people rushing towards him.
Jamal stuffed the map into his pockets, not caring about the condition as he rushed out the door and through the town. He looked behind, to see people getting into their strange vehicles before speeding towards. Cursing himself for being so relaxed, he went behind multiple buildings, as they passed them ahead, looking for another route.
He reached a small opening and looked around to realize he reached the outskirts of the town. Turning around, he could see the people in their vehicles surrounding him, as they got out with their powers or a few with other weapons.
"We could make a fortune out of this if they give us an award." someone chuckled with a few agreeing.
"We need to capture him first, and by the way he looks, it'll be tough." another mentioned.
"Look now, I think you got the wrong guy, it isn't me." he shuffled back a bit, as they continued moving closer to him.
Looking around, he could see a forest ahead and was already making a plan to escape before he ducked from someone throwing a sticky substance above, as it stuck onto a wall of a building behind them. Using this as an opportunity, he rushed ahead, as they began using their powers on him, but only hitting each other. He carefully leaped above, as he turned around and fired a fireball in front of them, causing them to scatter out the way.
"It's actually him! Chase him down!" a cry could have been heard, as several of them began the chase.
Not slowing down, he moved through the thick woods as he could hear the panting behind him, as they were not used to such a chase. Up ahead was a small stream, as he leaped over it, before creating a small wall of fire to create some temporary steam to confuse them. Of course, he didn't realize the tip of it touched some bushes as he continued onward, not looking back. The hunt was real, and he had to leave quickly.
