"How did you let him get away so easily!" Youden roared at the Keepers inside his office, who stared straight ahead, with no noticeable fear in their eyes.
"He broke free, it seems. At the site, we were able to find a small piece of molten metal, so perhaps he melted it off." Kurt replied.
"I thought those cuffs were meant for even the strongest to be unable to use their powers! Now he's out and about doing who knows what!" Youden screamed at them even louder.
"Sir, we already alerted the radio stations to send an alert hours ago, and it's been brodcaste-" he began to speak.
"I don't care! You had one job, and even you guys couldn't do it! I'm tired of hearing your voice too, speaking as if they can't themselves! What do you have to say!" he pointed to one of the woman Keepers.
"I think it's not too late to find him. He couldn't have gotten far, sir." she trembled slightly when he addressed her to speak.
"It's probably not too late, I suppose. I want you guys to continue the search. Already cost us millions of Youds from the accident at the airport and even more now. We have a serious budget that has to be managed to the smallest cent, and you all messed it up! Now get out of my sight!" he shooed them away, which they promptly did.
Once the door closed, he looked back at the photos they had received on his desk as he sat back down, showing the Ariocaster they had just finished developing partial wrecked, as two of its four propellers were crushed, as well as the front of the craft, essential making it worthless, as the repair cost were too high to fix. It took us an entire year and millions of Youds for us to finally make this model, only to be destroyed like this, he cursed aloud.
He checked the budget planner he had gotten updated only yesterday and check how much they had to spend on events like this. It would only barely be enough to avoid reaching debt. He might have to raise taxes slightly to pay for it in the end, but as of now and more importantly, he needed Jamal to be captured.
"Sir, the Southern Diplomat is here again." an aide called from outdoors.
"Let him in." he grumbled, to which the flustered man appeared.
"Sir, it's been a few days since I returned back to the border between our nations, and it seems that the tarrs still haven't been fixed. There has also been a large presence of your troops near our border, and I've been asked by the chief for them to peacefully leave." the diplomat began to explain.
"Look, I'm going to be honest, I don't care about the tarrs, and we're going to invade your nation tomorrow." Youden causally told him, as he got back up from his seat, "Lock the door and don't be next to it!"
"What!" the diplomat cried out in shock, as he heard a click behind him, "This is outrageous! We had a deal!"
"Yeah, well your nation has been asking for too much and I had enough, so we're invading you now." he shrugged, as he pulled out a revolver from a drawer in the desk.
"We helped you take out Saputa! We helped you rebuild after the war! You'll pay for this, I swear on my dead body!" the man cried out.
"Welp, times have changed and your nation served its purpose. Thanks for everything, but we got it from here." he grinned slyly, as he aimed the gun towards him.
"You will burn in-" the diplomat shouted one final time before a hole appeared in front of his head, blood splurting and gushing everywhere before the body collapsed.
Youden stared down, as he shot it five more times, watching the blood seep into his carpet. This was such an unnecessary process, he knew, but this was the least favorite diplomat out of all of them he had to listen to. He went back to the caller as he dialed the number for the general down south and told him to start the invasion. He didn't hear a complaint, as he quickly hanged up and unlocked the door from inside, using a recently acquired power.
"Clean that room in there. I don't want to see a single speck of blood in here, and not a word mentioned," he told the surprised aide, as she peered inside at the dead body, who wasted no time to get the clean-up crew.
Brutal as he was, Youden had enough of these nations on the land he so rightfully wanted. He was going to remove them one by one, no matter the cost.
