Jamal was instantly awaked when he bumped his head against the side of something soft. Moving his head around, he noticed that the bag they put on him was off and he was being carried, as they were deep in the woods, approaching some large metal object in a long clearing.
"He's awake." someone called, as Jamal strained his head to the sound.
"Good, let him have a look around one last time. He won't be back." the main man said.
"My family," he attempted to mutter as he slumped back down.
"Don't worry, they'll be dead after you."
"What?" he began to slowly gain awareness of what he was saying.
"With what we've seen, Youden's going to make us come back and finish any threats in his way. That includes your child if we know who the mother is."
"Don't you dare." he began to mutter before something hit his head, and black circles appeared everywhere.
"Shut up, you've been making too much noise for me now. Load him up."
He looked up again to realize they were outside the object, as he watched around him. They opened the metal gate of the Ariocaster as they placed him down in one of the many seats inside. He tried to move, but they quickly clamped him tight in the seat, as they called for the vehicle to move. They were about to close the gate, when an arrow lodged itself on the crank that would close it.
The Keepers looked outside, to see about a dozen fighters and some creature lumbering towards them.
"Full power!" Kurt yelled at the pilots, who quickly pushed the throttle to the maximum position.
He watched, as some of them crouched, before firing taboons at them, well the variant they were using was called rifles now, as the bullets ricochetted or dented the Ariocaster from the outdoors and the creature threw a large boulder of snow over the vehicle.
"Jamal, you can't give up now! Laken needs you!" Kurt could hear a young man's voice cry out, as he moved faster than the rest of them, with another man behind him.
Welp looks like things are about to get dirty, he knew, as he quickly switched from the energy-taking bullets to the lethal ones. Aiming at them, he watched as they were approaching the gate, that they now finally were getting up, as the aircraft began to slowly lift off the ground. Realizing this, he watched as one of the men push off the hands of another, as he stretched his hands to grasp the gate, halfway up.
"Afraid not today," Kurt said emotionlessly, as he shot the man's side.
It caused a scream, as the hands let go, and stumbled near a cliff they nearly overran landing here. He could see a splatter of blood on the ground, as the gate finally closed and they were well in the air. He moved back to Jamal, whose eyes were wide open from the failed rescue.
"Looks like someone won't be seeing their father again." he laughed in his.
"You'll pay for this." Jamal temporarily flared up in a fire, before cursing in pain as it dissipated.
Grinning, Kurt sat down in a seat next to a window seeing the beautiful view fade away as they reached the clouds. Today was a good day, and now they get what Youden wanted.
