Jamal was tired. He stayed awake the entire time, as the other Keepers were asleep, knowing he wouldn't get out. There was nothing he could do. He didn't know how long he was in the air, or even what he was in. He remembered getting reports on some flying vehicles, but none like this. What was Youden doing in Saputa? He eyed the window near him, as he realized they were under the clouds and a small city was beneath them.. He quickly began to panic, fearing they would crash into a building. But then he realized that would defeat the purpose. He just sat quietly, as some type of paved path was underneath them, with several other vehicles in the vicinity, before he almost jolted out his seat from the landing.
He tried not to move, as it began to slow down, before they stopped near the edge of a building. He could see the other Keepers getting up, stretching before remembering where they were.
"Why are we here? We're supposed to be at Youdenio City!" Kurt began to demand.
Jamal couldn't hear much, but he was able to make a few words like "low on fuel" and "temporary stop". He watched as they waited for the gate to open, and they walked out except for Kurt.
"We're just a stop away, and then I'll be done with you." he grinned, before walking out behind them.
Jamal just watched as they got out of view, before he heard a sound of a liquid near him. That's probably what they meant, as he just waited in silence. Then it clicked. While they were gone, this would be his only time to flee. But knowing the cuffs hurted him severely, it wouldn't do much.
He began moving around in his seat, as the buckle began to tear until it popped.
"Quiet in there!" he could hear the pilot say, but he didn't care.
He could hear something slide on the cuffs as he moved around, and he moved to the side to see. There appeared to be three sections, from minor to painful. It was currently on minor. He grinned, knowing what to do next.
.....
"Yes sir, he's in the Ariocaster." Kurt was speaking inside the airport's bar.
"Perfect. How long will be the flight to Youdenio City?" he could hear Youden ask.
"Estimated to be about another five-hour flight, then he's all yours."
"Finally, some reliable work. I'll have you rewarded on your arrival, as I've given you special access at the airport to reach me as soon as possible. Then I'll get what I need from there." Youden said with noticeable pleasure, before hanging up.
"Another mission is done, we just got one of the most wanted people everyone!" he said inside to a decent-sized crowd, with everyone cheering and laughing.
Nothing could go wrong from there.
....
Jamal placed the subdued pilot inside one of the doors in the Ariocaster. Getting out the cuffs still felt tough around his wrists, but he had to get the job done. Thank goodness he was around that edge before the pilot saw him and called for help. Finished, he looked at the many buttons and levers. He heard the liquid stop being filled and assumed that whatever it was, became full again. He looked at a thick lever in the middle, and slowly pushed it. This caused the Ariocaster to slowly begin to move.
He quickly looked around for anything else to help him get in the air, as he heard shouting behind him. Getting out of the cabin, he could see people waving at him for him to stop, and a few going in the building. Not even trying to figure it out anymore, he rushed down the gate but started the automatic crank instead of the manual one to shut the gate. He began moving in the opposite direction, past several large buildings with massive doors, with the ones opened showing other similar vehicles inside. He could see behind now, one of the Keepers quickly moving towards him, and catching up.
Ignoring the pain, he lit himself, as he looked for something to slow him down. He eyed the fence ahead, with some speeding vehicles down a long road with multiple markings. He didn't even bother to slow down, as he used his fire to rise above the fence and rush down to the road. But now he needed to get on a ride, and he could see a vehicle with an opening behind him. He quickly began to accelerate on the side of the road, before it was near him enough, as he made the jump.
He crashed inside the trunk with several wooden planks, as he sped away from the airport. Jamal would have pumped his hands in joy, but he had more important things to worry about, especially with them jumping on the other vehicles now with the other Keepers catching up.
He began firing fireballs from the vehicles they were on top of, as the drivers began to swerve to not get hit, but it just had them go on others one, as they reached closer to him. The vehicle he was in began to slow down when he noticed the commotion and began to pull over the side of the road, before Jamal leaped on top of another one of the vehicles, continuing the run.
He saw up ahead some type of concrete bridge, that was being worked on with wooden supports and wiring to connect it. Looking behind, he could see the Keepers only a few vehicles away from him. Focusing, he created a large fireball that he concentrated on so they wouldn't be able to see until they were a bit closer. As the vehicle he was in was about to go another, he fired the ball right at the wooden beams and watched as they quickly became aflame.
He could see the other vehicles slow down, as the bridge began to creak, before falling down with the workers above getting out the way, as a large plume of dust was in the air. Jamal looked ahead to see another vehicle with a cloth covering and he quickly got inside that one. He looked behind to see them move through the plume of dust as they began to search the trunks of the vehicles.
He looked around inside, seeing a box in the back with a tight space, alongside a thin pallet with no holes visible. He got inside, not even making a sound, as he placed the pallet in front of him to cover himself from getting caught.
He waited several seconds, as he could hear a thump inside the vehicle and some movement near the back where he was. He kept his mouth shut, as he could hear the breathing of one of the Keepers before it moved towards the exit and disappeared. He let out a sigh of relief, as he finally dosed off in safety.
