Youden barely had time to react, as one of the masked fighters rushed towards him. But something was off about that fighter. He watched as he accelerated almost instantly to him, creating a line of dust behind him. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the fighter appeared in front of him and began to punch him rapidly. Youden barely had time to deflect and block each one as it began to push him back. What type of powers do these people have?
"Alright, let's go!" he screamed, his muscles tightening.
The fighter stepped back as Youden began breaking the ground in front of them. The two others continued to rush at him, not bothered by the scene. One of them began shooting balls of a clear liquid from their mouth. Youden fired a few balls of light from the sun he was able to collect, causing it to disperse. With the liquid crashing back onto the earth, it began to heat the ground and melt away. The other fighter's skin was noticeable getting harder as they began to slow down. Youden jumped into the air with his hands into the sky. One could slowly see the moisture in the air being collected above them as it was being built up. But out of the corner of his eyes, Youden saw a flash of light as it zipped over his head. Within the moment, a sharp, piercing pain was felt, causing him to drop the water he was collecting, splashing down on the fighters. He turned around, his eyes on edge, looking at the source, to see the speedy fighter aiming his hand as him, with a little smoke from his palm and a small spark of electricity.
"No more games." was all that was said by the person, in a raspy voice.
Youden smirked at his words. "I'll warn you guys. I'm not holding back for real now."
"Sir, is this really a good idea?" the general chimed in, "A lot of work could be lost."
"Silence! I know what I'm doing!"
In an instant, there was a light but dark outline around Youden, his eyes slightly darker.
"No more games, you say, then let's get serious." Youden muttered.
Suddenly, in an instant, the masked fighter that hit him was high in the sky, creating a loud sonic boom in the area. Within in seconds, he was quickly smashed back into the ground. The other fighters stepped back a bit, in high alert, watching the sky. Suddenly, a crater formed in front of them, almost pushing them off of their feet with the wind. Youden slowly walked up, not showing a single sign of being relaxed. They watched as he began rushing towards them, both fists turned to metal. The acid fighter tried firing the liquid on him, as the hardened fighter ran behind it. Youden closed his eyes, a wall of earth lifted to protect him. Once that happened, he simply shoved it towards the approaching fighter. The hardened fighter crashed through it, only to be pummeled by Youden's fists quickly. The acid fighter was standing back as their fist swere slowly being covered by their own acid. Before they were able to attack, they got slammed by the hardened fighter and crashed deep into the jungle behind them.
Youden smirked at the scene and turned back around, to see the other fighter limping towards him. He's still alive, he disputed.
"Youden, I think that this is enough." the general once again stated.
"If I hear another word from you, you won't be seeing the sun ever again. So shut it!" Youden told him, not looking back. A gulp could be heard soon after. He looked straight into the other fighter's eyes, his arms extended out.
Suddenly, a burst of lightning struck where he was, forcing Youden to cover his eyes. When he was able to look again, he saw that the mask had disappeared, revealing a young, but bloody face of a man. His eyes however, looked as if they were leaking electricity as his body was completely surrounded with burst of it.
In a instant, both fighters were fighting, creating a shock wave from each attack. The speedy fighter kicked off of Youden into the sky and directed multiple lighting strikes onto him. Youden quickly switched his fists to ice as he began dodging the attacks to the best of his abilities. Youden raised his hands up, as roots from the ground rose towards him. The speedy fighter quickly hacked them away, leaving behind a quick stream of electricity in his path, before suddenly getting kicked over the clearing and into the ocean. The attack was so powerful, that it had pushed away the water, temporarily allowing one to walk on the ocean floor. The fighter attempted to get up, only to be forced back down, as Youden had appeared in front of him out of nowhere, the water slowly surrounding them again. Youden grabbed him by the throat, light surrounding his hands, squeezing the life out of the man, until he surrendered or died. The fighter didn't even attempt to fight back as they went limp.
"Pathetic, I expected better from this. This was just children's play. Thanks for the warm-up." Youden out right announced, disappointed. He floated back up in the sky, dropping the fighter back into the water, and began heading back to the original clearing. It was such a shame that it wasn't even an actual competition, and it was even sadder that they made him try a bit harder than he anticipated, but it had to be done. As he was approaching the clearing, he felt a sharp, instant pain in his stomach. Youden was barely able to turn around, to see the masked fighter smiling behind him, his hand making a shape of a dagger out of lightning as it was inserted into him. The fighter dug deeper into him, causing him to shake and sputter blood out of his mouth. Barely able to move, Youden slowly drew his hand up as he watched a small sphere of water rise from the ocean. Losing consciousness, he watched as it rushed towards them, allowing it to shape into a tip of a spear. He stared as it penetrated the fighter and his lightning disappearing from him. With the static of the attack fading away, he grabbed the fighter back to the ruined clearing, the general looking surprised.
"All I got to say, is that I'm impressed with this fighter here in particular. I couldn't go all out on him, but he proved that he has some serious potential. Make sure they all get as much rest as possible. Because this next month will determine if everything we have done was worth it." was all Youden was able to say, with a half-smile, before crouching down on the ground, in a good deal of pain from the attacks. The general nodded, as he went back to the carr driver, to get them all access to the local hospital, leaving them all one month until the invasion.
