Chapter 34 - Orc Tribe Joined

I could only sigh at this situation. The orcs raised their rusty weapons before me as if they were going to attack me. In a matter of seconds, they started rushing towards me, wearing inspirited eyes.

I sighed once again before bashing through their weak defense. In a blink, all of the 6 guards were thrown away, hitting their walls. I just did it in one go. I want to finish this soon.

Groans filled their surroundings. They could only endure the pain while still trying to reach their weapons. As the weapon was near me, I stepped on it so that he'd be demotivated.

More agonizing sounds filled the area as there were some that were piling. Three boar-looking orcs were down and piled on top of each other. They looked like squashed, sliced hams, but in a massive size.

Ugh, I can't help but to look at them more than just meat. I should forget that feeling.

I entered their village only to be welcomed by their gasps. Each step I took, they stepped backwards. They were also brave enough to challenge me that they raised a rusty sword.

"/I suggest you stop doing that. I'm not here to fight you, but to recruit you. Don't be stupid./" I remarked as I took my own pace, walking through the crowded village.

I tried to look for the tribe leader's house but failed. It seems that this won't work, I'll just find the strongest presence inside the village.

As I passed through the huts/houses, I found a strong presence, and it was also a hostile one.

Behind a curtain, there appears a huge boar-looking orc. Their doors are only made with curtains weaved from veins. Impressive, that was stylish enough.

The boar-looking orc was furious, and looked irritated as he fazed upon the piling orcs outside the fence.

"/Are you the leader?/" I said.

The huge orc was just speechless. He was silent but he was not afraid. He was just worried about his people, from what I observed.

"/Yes, I am./" He said it in a rough, deep voice.

Wow... it was fortunate that he did not have a stupid voice.

"/Your men are stupid. I only came here to recruit you for my land, yet they attacked me./" I added.

"/Indeed they are stupid. But they don't deserve to be beated that much. Just how many attacks did you give them to receive that damage./"

Oh... He seems to be doubting. His height is enough to intimidate weaker monsters, but he is stupid. He didn't notice the only crater from my bash.

"/They did not receive that much. I only gave them a bash. Ah. I forgot to include that they are also weak./" Adding an intimidating tone, the leader just laughed towards me.

"/You said that you only attacked once? Haha! Don't think of me as stupid. Those are my strongest men, so why would I believe you?/"

Still stupid. He is not studying the surroundings of the scene. He just assumed everything that I used my might to knock them down.

I see... So it will only leave me with one thing. I need to show him my power. It's not that I don't want to, just that I can't limit myself if I use my STR.

I can control myself in everyday routine, but the thing I can't control is when I use it with a skill.

Sighs... I will just use pure strength without using any skill. However, I can't underestimate this being. He is huge enough to be considered as a lesser giant. I can't take that risk.

"/Then, I don't have a choice but to show it to you./"

"/Indeed. But first, I must praise your might and tongue. You can speak our language. Are you perhaps a variant goblin that looks like a human?/"

Ah... I feel insulted. It still irritates me that I was reincarnated as a goblin. Why would he remind me of that?

"Don't spout ridiculous words, pig. You don't know me. I will become a demon lord that will fix this world."

Without wasting any seconds, I appeared in front of him, only to give him an upper cut to his chest.

Booming sounds pressure the area. It seemed like the soundwave was enough to push the weaker orcs back wards.

I reserved my gaze for the tribe leader. He wasn't blown away and he was still in front of me. Perhaps, he's much stronger than what I expected.

Ah. It won't hurt to send another punch.

*thud*

My eyes almost fell from widening. The tribe leader passed out in his standing and fell down. Shit. I forgot to control my strength.

***

I waited for hours and noticed that the sky was starting to dim and emit an orange color.

Ugh... I think it's already 4 or 5. This is irritating me. Just how long does this pig sleep?

Just after my complaints, the pig woke up with a groaning sound. He was still lying on the floor, surrounded by his people. While I was sitting from afar, leaning on the fence.

"/Wah!/" He exclaimed before taking his feet on the ground.

"/You are indeed a strong fellow and virtuous! You didn't enslave my people after making me pass out!/"

Still stupid. Hust how long do I have to repeat that phrase? Is he just a cattle? Can't he study my words?

"/Pig. I came here to recruit you, so why would I enslave you if it would be proper to make you serve me rather than slaving you./"

I still can't fathom his stupidity. Are they really the best for construction? Did Tema think that their muscles would suffice? I think it's best to make them our cattle.

If this doesn't go well, I'll really catch them to make them my food. I'm getting hungry as I think about that. Ugh. This is making me groan more in dissatisfaction.

"/All right. We will follow you. We will serve what you want us to do./"

Good. I couldn't be surprised more. Of course, they would accept that since I'm stronger than them. It's part of their monster instincts.

I prepared everything and counted how many I could keep. But they volunteered to be brought to my land. All of them. They are atleast 60. However, there's nothing to be bothered by that.

"/Bring your clothes. That would suffice./"

"/How about our food?/"

"/Do you think I can't feed you? That will be your pay for this day./"

"/Really! Wow! It must be good to become your servant!/"

I let out another sigh before facing him. My passive skill activated. The surroundings glowed and all of them were mesmerized. In just a matter of seconds, a symbol appeared on top of the tribe leader's forehead.

"/That would suffice. I'll name you Moccus./"

But I didn't anticipate the following events. His body glowed more and he floated a little.

This is...

[An evolution.]

After seconds, his body reformed into more defined muscles. His fur became a more vibrant brown than a dirty one. His horn became more honed as his tusk curled more upwards, turning a little to the back, enough to touch his skin.

More seconds occur, I can't help but to be surprised. My eyes were widening as I felt nostalgic. Do I look like that when I was evolving?

Afterwards, the light dimmed and disappeared.

'Can I see his status?'

[Negative, creatures can't be assesed by system but only their abilities. I can only share his race.]

'It's okay. What's his race right now?'

[It's an Orc General.]

'Orc General, is it lower than a King or Lord?'

[Of course it is!]

I thought I had become stupid.

Moccus came back to reality as he observed his body. He screamed in joy as he noticed that he had finally evolved.

"/I evolved! Finally!/" He celebrated in delight.

At the back of him, his people are also cheering. They can't remove their eyes from their leader.

"/It's because of you becoming my subordinate. Now, serve me properly!/"

"/Of course, My Lord! If only you could bless me by hearing your name!/"

So I haven't told him my name. What an irresponsible action.

But I think it's still a pity. I can't bless the demi-humans with this. Should I learn a skill that could help me with blessing a non-monster or beast?

'Is there a skill to bless a demi-human or human, tema?'

[There is but high recquirement is needed. But I can't access the information. Sorry, Hanzel.]

'It's okay.'

***

We proceed to going to my land. While on the way, I used to collect materials for their houses.

I already received the blue print from Tema, although it is in my brain not on a print.

Just a short while later, we arrived in front of the gate of Florencia. The orcs were mesmerized that I took a huge city. They can't believe that I invaded it.

The guard, who was a hobgoblin, saluted me, greeting my return. The time is almost near to setting. I hope that they can build their house quickly. I can just at least let them sleep for the night in a vacant house.

But after seeing that I am catering to humans, they were bursted with questions.

"/Why are there humans here? I thought that you were a monster?!/" A question from Moccus.

Indeed I am, but I have another race. It's a human. I am a human-monster after all, a bridge between two kinds.

"/Yes I am. But remember this, they are also my people. And the reason I am collecting different races, it's because my nation will become the united races nation./"

This is the first step to becoming a good Demon Lord. I won't fail Great Mother.

"/Stop asking about why there is a human. That place, build your house there!/" I pointed at a distant undeveloped land. It is just a wide plain with minimal trees surrounding it.

"/Use the woods to build a house./"

"/But, we can't build without a plan./" Moccus complained.

"/Did you think I was stupid? Of course, I have a plan!"

I told them the most efficient way to build a house using wood. They were amazed that I thought that, but of course, that was with the help of Tema.

'I can't thank you enough.'

[Stupid! Just do your job!]

I just let out a snort. Is she embarrassed by my words? What a strange system.

I went back to the mansion for dinner. I ordered the servant to prepare food for newcomers. After that, I went inside the office and saw Lucy working.

"Aren't you tired, Lucy?"

"L-lucifarge-sama! Welcome back!" She greeted me.

I just replied with a smile then approached her. She stood up but I halted her and just let her sit.

'She is really hard working. Is she that motivated since she became my general?'

[She is, Hanzel. Can't you observe it properly? She does like your acknowledging her.]

'Stupid! She's just motivated.'

What a pain in the ass. Tema is becoming more annoying when she teases me like that. Lucy already has a child... Wait! Why did I think of that!

"What's the problem with Lucy? Why are you working late?" I asked her with a worried look.

"It is because, Lucifarge-sama, we are lacking food supplies."

Oh shit. I just ordered the servants to prepare food for the orc tribe.

I just awkwardly laughed. This is a problem. Where would I get farmers to cater to farms and cattles?

Wait, Tema! She can help me! Stupid!

[Wait for tomorrow. The daily quest was just about to be finished.]

'Wait. Does that mean my problem would result as a Daily Quest? And what do you mean, not finished. They have already joined us!'

[Indeed, but you didn't announce it.]

'So that was it?'

"Lucifarge-sama?"

"Ah! Yes! We will fix that. I will recruit more men for that. We will make a farm for our food supplies."

"That is reassuring, Lucifarge-sama. But what do you mean, recruit more? Did you recruit other men?"

"Yes. And they are orcs. They will help us with the construction."

"That is good, Lucifarge-sama!"

*ding*
