How could I become a vampire? Wow. This just doesn't make me stop but to be amazed. Does this mean I need to drink blood every now and then?

[NEW SKILLS]

A passive skill activates by biting a target. Can share an exact amount of power, but serves only a blessing.

Active skill. Can dive into the memory of a target.

Active skill. Produce a strong soundwave, enough to disrupt eardrums.

---

I also gained a new set of skills. I can see that they are all convenient for me as I really need to share my power.

But... There's something bothering me. Despite the amazing things this evolution gave, there's a tingling feeling I felt from this race.

'What does a Lesser Parasitic Vampire do? Care to explain my race?'

[Wait, I will show you.]

---

[Lesser Parasitic Vampire]

- An ancient race.

- An evolution only available to inhabited bodies with the partial blood of a vampire.

- Have a dominant human appearance, however, can not survive in extreme light magic.

- Can inhabit another body, but will remain the same race.

---

Wow. What a great useless feature. It is just a nerf to me. That weakness in light magic was a nerf.

Even though others were really good, they're just a decorative in my status. But this parasitic nature, did I inherit it from that parasitic duneon core?

'So what's the use of a race anyway?'

[Nothing, it is just a body to move since you can have any different talent. However, this race is also good since you can bless someone with your power.]

'Bless? Will they become vampires too?'

[Indeed, they will. Through blood pact, you can bless them with the powers of a vampire, but in a limited amount since you are still a lesser being.]

'I can't understand this. How did I become a vampire?'

[It is because, that body is a vampire. Now that you have evolved, it faces maturity and awakens its powers and abilities.]

This is too much. As I heard the word vampire, memories of the dark past of this body came rushing to me. It's filled with misery and suffering until his memory of his family.

From the time that his family were attacked, I finally understood their words. From the memories, all of them were blurry. Their words were blurry to me at first, but now, it is clear.

They call my family descendants of vampires. Yes... my family as what my heart tells me. I can't help but to feel sadness.

The loneliness of the boy rushed to me. It feels like I'm dying... I want to die. However, I want to kill the person who killed my family.

"I should forget about this. This isn't helping me."

I just forgot about that memory. That won't help me. But I will help this body, to move on. There's nothing about revenge, because it will just make people suffer more.

Continuing my journey, I activated my flight skill then headed towards the direction where Salfarmia is.

I observed my outfit if it was okay, then noticed that I grew a bit. My sleeves are getting tight. My muscles are obviously honed as I felt that the mask was getting stiff.

Just how much did I evolve? It feels like I have become another person. Well, that is the idea behind it, but still, it's surreal.

I studied my surroundings as I continued to fly. The place started to be more common in ricefields. There are also some root crops from various places. And I concluded, I am in Salfarmia.

It looks like nothing but the countryside. I wonder where I am now in Salfarmia. Perhaps on their border lines.

There were no people, so I landed near a village. It seems like this is what you call a peaceful place.

The roads and paths are made of flattened plump lands and the rest of the land is ricefields.

Yellow grains are obvious from any distance, even when I was still flying earlier. Now that I am inside the forest, I can still see the ripe grains.

I walked towards a quiet place and tried to find people. Gladly, I found someone who was in his near 30's.

I approached the man before greeting him, still wearing my mask but it seems like he is used to strangers since he didn't freak out.

"Greetings, Mister. Can I ask where am I right now?" I asked.

It seemed like this guy was too kind that he just smiled at me.

"You are currently at the border lines. This village apparently is unnmaed."

I see... so they don't have the leisure to name one place. Perhaps I can name this after I help them.

"Mister, can I ask more? Where is the capital of Salfarmia?"

"Ah. It's 1 week away from here. It's to the east." He pointed to the place where the vast space is.

"I see... Thank you, Mister." I flew once again, then headed to the direction where he pointed.

I noticed that his eyes widened but couldn't help it. It feels like these people are more composed than what I expected. They are used to strange things.

After a few minutes of flying, I finally reached a crowded place. I didn't land in the crowd, of course. I searched for a secluded place then landed there.

The place looks like a town. There are various buildings in the area.

Trying to observe the area, it seems like a festival is currently being celebrated. The crowd is obviously a cause for celebration. Their faces are full of joy as they move from one stall to another.

I swim in the wave of people. They are crowing the place, which made it hard to move.

Others were confused when they saw me but I didn't pay head. I just walked until I reached a restaurant.

I entered the restaurant and, fortunately, it wasn't crowded. The place was so silent that when I entered, it echoed.

This restaurant is a famous place for not having customers despite the crowd and celebration.

"Welcome to the Isvard Diner." I shifted my attention to a young lady that greeted me. She seems like an average girl, however, my physique looks like she is just my little sister since I got taller.

"What food do you offer?" I asked.

The reason I entered this restaurant is because I was hungry. Despite my race being a vampire, I still need to eat human food.

"We offer skewers... we only have that food sir. This dinner is going to get close anyways..." I noticed that the young lady got down for a short moment.

So there's a problem here. So that was it. Does it mean that there's a reason why there's no customers are visiting? Perhaps I know I can do something.

"I see, so that was it? Can you cook?"

"Sir? What kind of question is that? Are you here just to insult our diner? Please get out. We don't care if you're a noble."

I let my eyes take a journey around the diner. It seems like they are really below of society. Used to getting insults and mockery?

The young lady misunderstood my words.

"Please don't misunderstand. I'm here to have food. Can I ask you again, can you cook?"

The young lady glared at me with an unpleasent expression. She seemed to be furious, but it was just ignited by my wrong play of words. Clearly, I need to fix this.

"I inquired if you could cook."

"Yes, we can." She blurted out.

"Good, can you cook for me?"

"We only offer skewers. Obviously, it's because we lack ingredients."

Yeah, I knew that. Obviously, they lack ingredients, that is why their only food to offer is skewers. I knew that was coming. That's why I asked if they could cook.

"Good, I need you to cook for me." But before continuing, the young lady cut my words.

"I said we don't have enough ingredients."

It is really true that what you do to others is what they'll do to you too.

My words earlier seemed to be rude to be asked in a restaurant, so this lady seems to be affected by that tone. She acts aggressively and is eager to kick me out for insulting them.

"Don't worry, I have ingredients. I can give it to you." I said, but those words were not enough to make her believe. She even made a doubtful expression.

Well, she can't see my face but my expression is formed into furious right now. Not furious like others, mine is a tired expression. I can't argue with this girl anymore.

"Here." I opened my inventory then placed the dismantled monster corpes that seemed to be okay to eat.

Right... it may be true that we lack food supplies because we can't hunt anymore. We can't hunt because of the lack of cattle monsters around the forest.

That's why it was a good idea that I suggested making a farm for managing the farm and the cattle.

After putting the meat on top of the table, her eyes widened as if she couldn't believe what had just happened.

"Where did you get that? And are you sure you're going to give that to us if we cook for you?" Seems to be surprised but still doubtful to me.

"Yes... Please cook this for me."

But the words I received were enough to surprise me.

"Sorry for my behavior earlier. I thought you were one of those wealthy people who only came to insult us." She apologized. Her eyes were sincere as she bowed down before going back to her stance.

"I see... Can I at least know your name?" Her presence made me curious about her. I like her strong attitude and love for her domain.

"I am Mryna, Sir."

"Well then, Mryna of Isvard Diner. Offer me the meal you can best to cook."

"Yes, Sir. And thank you." As she said those words, tears started to fall down.
