It's just another normal day in an adventurer's guild. The Pheonix Ring adventurer's guild is still crowded with adventurers coming and going. The space is quite huge for a building, but since the population of registered adventurers hasn't gone down, the guild is still hectic. The receptionist recommends a quest for an adventurer looking for the appropriate quest for their rank. The other adventurers who just got in are reviewing the available quests posted on the quest board.
But their attention was drawn when a female in her teens, specifically a 16-year-old female, entered the building, accompanied by a maid.
The girl may be the definition of the word beauty. Among the males, their eyes almost drop from staring eagerly and widening their eyes.
The hair of the lady is white as snow. Her white eyelashes were almost covering her eyes with red pupils. Wearing a battle garment for an adventurer, her white skin almost made the clothes as if made from expensive material. By looking at her, the crowd in the building halted for a second.
The only sound being made was from the lady's footsteps. It was as if it was echoing through the entire guild. The eyes of people can not be removed, but there is a person who can't ignore them. It was Olivia, her only servant.
Apparently, the lady's name was Rena Smith. She was the one who recently got reincarnated. Just after being reincarnated, she wanted to live outside the cave and live like a normal person. After all, knowing a bit of information is not wrong. But when Olivia suggested that she would be the one who would gather the information, Rena didn't agree.
"Olivia, back in my realm, gamers like me don't want to be fed by fake reviews. We review a game by ourselves and judge it."
Even though Olivia can't comprehend it, she just can't argue with her Queen. As a result, she accompanied her to the adventurer registration.
Just before approaching the reception, the crowd split in half, as if a royal was passing by. And after reaching the reception, the receptionist, who was apparently a girl, almost forgot she was a girl because of Rena's beauty.
The receptionist just asked for significant information. What is her name, age, race, and place.... She simply answered them in a consistent manner, moving from one question to the next. Even after just registering with the receptionist, the crowd still didn't move their eyes from her. They were too mesmerized by the beauty they are witnessing. It was a once-in-a-blue-moon experience, and one in a million strand beautiful thread.
The procedure was immediately initiated. Rena successfully became an adventurer. Her guild card displayed her name as well as her current rank of Beginner. It was a mesmerizing experience; after all, it is a dream for other gamers to have a fully immersive gaming experience, and she considered herself to be in such a situation.
On the other hand, because of the strange event in the guild, the man who had just entered was confused. He was a human-sized giant who could almost reach the top of the door. When he walked in, everyone's attention was drawn to him. And just as the man was confused, he saw the source of it.
"So a young lady wants to become an adventurer?" Olivia, who was standing right next to Rena, growled in response to that remark. She was preparing to sheath her weapon, but Rena stopped her.
"It's not a good thing to stand out, Olivia." She hasn't thought of what she said and cursed herself inside. 'But the heck did I do? I just stand out more. Ugh, so hard to be this beautiful.'
The man who entered had a smirk and approached Rena. But when Olivia growled, he just guarded himself up to be ready for attacks from the maid.
He grinned and observed Ellena's stature from her chest up to her face. "Good for you. You look tasty. I am the strongest adventurer here and your face has the chance to be part of my harem."
With those words, Rena couldn't control her rage inside. She didn't let it out, but her hands were obviously closed and clenched. And also, Olivia didn't wait for another second and threatened the man. She sheathed her dagger below her skirt and pointed it at the man's neck.
To his surprised, he didn't help but let out a shocked expression. He was astonished for a second, so he could not react. 'The fuck, she's fast.'
"Olivia, don't spoil the fun. After all, he's the strongest adventurer, we won't stand a chance against him."
'Oh... so she knows how strong I am. Maybe her maid is just fast but not as strong as I am.'
Rena left Olivia, and even though she wanted to protect her, she couldn't because Rena had given her the order. Even though she is concerned, she has no idea what Rena's plan is. But, she trusted her Queen, so she stood still and waited for Rena to come back.
Rena, on the other hand, led the man, who was cheerfully grinning, into a town alley near the adventurer's guild.
Being impatient, the man grabbed Rena's arm, pushed her against the wall, and looked at Rena with thirsty eyes. He returned his gaze to Rena's chest before pulling her into his embrace.
"Heh. Summon."
But in a flash for a second, he felt stung from his lower abdomen. He felt an unappealing pain in the part he couldn't see. As a reflex, he pushed Rena away and checked his abdomen, which surprised him. A huge spider was biting his abdomen. It was black and covered in shiver-inducing fur. The man's eyes widened as he felt nauseous. The spider's bite contained poison and venom.
The man struggled to speak and let out his voice. "Wha...t ha...ve you... done?..." And in just a few seconds, the man passed out, losing his consciousness.
"Thank God... I won't feel any guilt. It was beyond salvation, after all. Just used your body for my child's food. Sorry."
Rena reached the man's body and after she touched it, it disappeared.
'I really want to live a normal life, but these things can't be helped. I can't unlock another evolution if I can't reach the condition.'
Just after a week of her reincarnation, she had already gained a proper amount of strength. Her summons progressed to the third evolution, but the fourth required a significant amount of food. She can't let her merging system shut off and think of what is proper and moral. After all, she can just choose helpless people. And what she means helpless, are people who won't let her feel remorse. And, as an example, is a violator.
