"So, this is the update? I suppose I was getting accustomed to effortlessly gaining skills. It's a fair adjustment; in the past fights, I felt like I was cheating, reaping rewards without putting in much effort."

Lucifarge continued his journey towards the monster zone. Upon reaching the mountain range, he engaged in battles against bipedal monsters with eerie faces, such as ogres and ghouls. Despite his current hobgoblin form, he couldn't fully embrace the essence of being a monster, though the instincts lingered within him.

Climbing the mountain range, he finally arrived at the monster zone, where the threat levels surpassed the capabilities of ordinary individuals. Even with five years of experience, handling these monsters required a skill level equivalent to ten years of experience.

Lucifarge also observed the considerable distance between the monster zone and the cat kins' settlement, realizing that his pace was extraordinary, much like himself. Covering 1200 km in just 8 hours, he understood that his abilities surpassed the norm.

Upon witnessing the abundant rewards, Lucifarge felt obligated, acknowledging the system's generosity even as his boost dwindled to 3. The hectic battles and challenging quests seemed to be compensated with worthwhile gains.

Utilizing his scanning skill, Lucifarge sensed the presence of 30 entities and approached the source, discovering knights engaged in a fierce battle atop a cliff. Their shining silver-plated armor caught his attention, adorned with personal items distinct from their order.

The lesser dragons resembled wyverns, small flying monsters with only two legs. Lacking ranged attacks, they proved invulnerable to arrows, making them formidable opponents.

"Prepare for engagement from the left!" shouted a captain as a lesser dragon attacked from that side. Despite the knights' initial preparation, a surprise attack left them vulnerable, causing injuries and disarray among their ranks.

Observing the knights' unwise tactics, Lucifarge sighed, realizing their lack of heavy ranged weapons or magical support hindered their effectiveness.

Checking his own attire, Lucifarge frowned at the dirty, ragged clothes, acknowledging his neglect of personal grooming and the absence of production skills to craft decent garments.

Without further contemplation, he crouched down, preparing to leap. Navigating large rocks, he reached the top of a cliff, where the remaining lesser dragons awaited. Landing on the back of a red lesser dragon, Lucifarge swiftly dispatched it, earning a notification of success.

Ignoring the update during battle, Lucifarge faced the remaining four dragons. With swift and calculated moves, he subdued each one, leaving the knights astonished at his prowess. The final dragon, wary of Lucifarge, evaded his initial attack, setting the stage for an intense confrontation.

Lucifarge couldn't help but grin at the monster's behavior. Using his mana, he crafted a precisely formulated sword within his dimension, nearly depleting half of his mana. Upon opening the portal, a large sword with rainbow lines on the handle emerged. The blade shone in platinum colors with dark obsidian hues.

"It's not really necessary to create a sword, but I noticed that I have been fighting without a weapon, so it's a good one to test it out on you," Lucifarge remarked.

Lifting the sword, he swiftly swung it towards the monster, cleaving the lesser dragon into two. Overjoyed, Lucifarge realized the potential of his dimension as a production skill.

However, he got absorbed in the fight and momentarily forgot his main purpose. The hesitant knights approached him cautiously.

"Just why does a hobgoblin this strong exist? Is he going to kill us? But he spoke human language; maybe he's not that dangerous, as I felt he was helping us," one of the knights wondered.

"Uhm, Mister. Can I talk to you?" the captain timidly asked as he approached Lucifarge. Surprised by Lucifarge's power, the captain was left speechless when Purity, the creature beside Lucifarge, also approached.

"Oh, Purity! Are you done with some grinding? I gave you a bunch of mana so you can learn offensive skills. Huh? There's someone behind me?" Lucifarge, still talking to Purity, shifted his attention to the knight.

"Mister, are you a monster? I also would like to thank you for saving us," the captain inquired.

Now, considering an excuse, Lucifarge thought quickly. "Ah! No, of course not! Is there a monster who can speak like a human? Of course, I'm a human. It's just I was cursed by some envious people, and I have the appearance of a monster. Be not wary; I'm no monster after all," he explained, hoping to fool the knight successfully.

"Is that so? Please forgive my question. Can I ask why you helped us?"

"Oh, right! You can take the materials. A person just asked me to help you, and now I'm done. Please take the materials."

"Are you sure? Please, we can't take this generosity."

"I don't do charity; of course, I have more rewards to get than that corpse. After all, I don't know how to sell that. Can you think of a person who would buy from me, hideous face?" Lucifarge retorted, leaving the knight speechless, pitying Lucifarge for his cursed appearance.

"If you say so, I would like to express my gratitude."

"Taken. Now I'll take my leave."

The captain's words were abruptly cut off as Lucifarge disappeared immediately. The captain struggled to express his gratitude towards the mysterious benefactor who had helped them and provided the lesser dragon's corpse.

"Princess," he muttered.

On the way deep into the monster zone, Lucifarge received a 'ding' sound.

"Yes! Sweet rewards! I can do this all day!" he shouted in joy as he fended off a huge bear attempting to attack him.
