Hamish looked every inch the modern warrior, his exo-armour gleaming in the emergency lights of the lab. He looked around, noticing all the destroyed compute terminals and lab equipment. "I can't let you leave with that data drive," Hamish said, right before firing a fluorescent red beam from his eyes.
It's effect was devastating. It hit the intruder in the chest, pushing him off his feet, through a lab bench behind him, and into the far wall. He made a significant dent in the alloy the wall was made from.
