Chapter 108 - Are you perhaps thinking about me?

Se-Young was utterly befuddled by the situation. “I can’t let you stay here.” she said to Se-Won and he just tilted his head thinking what was going on in his sister's mind. “What do you mean?” he asked.

“It’s quite simple. I cannot let you stay in this place and you just had surgery. I don’t want anything to bother you.” she said still looking around, the only furniture was the two beds and one cupboard.

“Then?” he asked blinking twice.

“I will arrange a place for you guys to live in. A PROPER place.” she pressed onto her last word to indicate that this place was not proper for a human being.

“You guys! You mean me and dad.” he asked and exhaled a deep breath when Se-Young gave him a nod. “Then what about you?” he asked and since he was younger than her, he was doing his best to stay respectful.

“What about me?” Se-Young asked frowning her eyebrows in confusion. “If you are going to basically provide us a place to live then are you willing to stay with us in that place?” he asked raising his eyebrows and from the bottom of his heart, he wanted her to say yes.

“Why do I need to stay with you guys?” Se-Young uttered nonchalantly.

“Then I am sorry to say this but we will not be leaving this place. Father asked for your help because it was related to my life but he will not accept anything else and I am hundred percent sure he will try his best to give all your money back.” Se-Won took his bag and went to put it inside the cupboard.

Se-Young swallowed, rubbing her forehead with her left hand. “I expected this reaction and this is why I was refusing you to come here with me.” Se-Won sighed, shrugging his shoulders. He looked up after putting the bag inside the cupboard and found Se-Young deep in her thoughts.

“I... I will think about it. You first ask your dad’s opinion on this.” she said and sighed out the frustrating air bubble inside her chest.

Se-Won could not help but smile a bit. “Our dad.” he tried to correct her.

“I lost my dad almost twenty years ago. This...” she took out a lunch box from her granny bag and placed it in his hand. “Take care of yourself, I will... get going now.” even though she knew that she was going to visit him frequently but still she felt bad. She did not want to leave him in such a shabby place.

Se-Won did not say anything since he felt his words really had gotten in her brain and he somehow knew that Se-Young was too kind for her own good.

After that, she left the small garage.

~Next day~

Se-Young was into her thoughts and her hands were in the flour but were not working. “Are you perhaps thinking about me?” Dong-Hoon asked standing right behind her, leaning his face towards her ear.

She flinched and turned around. In the process, she placed her hands on his clothed chest and his shirt was now printed with white flour in Se-Young’s handprints.

He frowned his eyebrows as Se-Young did not give him any particular reaction because according to him, she was supposed to laugh out loud like a maniac at this moment.

She was just looking deep into his eyes, thinking about whether she should leave this house to stay with her brother or should not. Whether she should tell Dong-Hoon about this thing or should not. “Is it just me or you are really sad?” Dong-Hoon asked, examining her eyes since she was wearing her mask.

Clearing her throat, she pulled her hands back but Dong-Hoon held them back still against his chest. “Is something wrong? Is it about Se-Won?” he asked tilting his head.

“No... everything is fine.” she decided to not tell him anything as of now.

“Well, if you say so.” he said but was not believing her words.

She blinked twice waiting for him to leave her hands. “What?” Dong-Hoon asked when she kept looking at him. “My hands.” she pointed her eyes towards her hands which were still held into his and Dong-Hoon smirked. “Looks like your hands don’t want to leave me.” he wriggled his eyebrows, teasing her but she snatched her hands away turning back while rolling her eyes.

“That was harsh.” Dong-Hoon mumbled in a pout.

Se-Young was working on her new recipe alone in the Hotel's kitchen when she received multiple messages.

She wiped her hands with a small towel and grabbed her cell phone. She rolled her eyes looking at the messages sent by her brother.

Se-Won had the habit of writing messages in pieces instead of writing them in one go. She sighed and started to read them.

‘Big sis.’

“I had a chat with dad.’

‘About last night, you know.’

‘Just as I said.’

‘He was against the idea.’

‘Of you providing us a place to live.’

‘But he did not say anything.’

‘When I said.’

‘that You will be living with us.’

Se-Young’s eyes widened after the last message, she started to invade the keypad hurriedly replying to her brother. ‘When did I say yes to live with you. Gosh, why did you lie to him?’ she ran her hand through her hair wanting to cry in frustration.

Ding! she received another message.

‘I know you will.'

Ding! Another message popped.

‘I love you

She scoffed reading the cheesy message. “This brat.” she put the cell phone back, inhaling a sharp breath in.

“Look, I am telling you all of this then it has to stay a secret. Don't open this gossiping mouth of yours anywhere.” Se-Young warned Yoon-Hwa, who was busy stuffing her mouth with her burger.

Yoon-Hwa stopped eating, looking at the troubled expression on her friend’s face, and placed the burger back on the plate, wiping her mouth with tissue paper. “Ok, tell me. I am all ears.”
