But as soon as it landed on his younger brother's face, Ji-Hoon regretted doing so but once an arrow leaves a bow it never returns. Hani was listening to their conversation outside when Dong-Hoon had called his brothers into his room. Se-Young saw her eavesdropping and went towards her. "What are you doing Hani."
Hani got startled and put a hand on her mouth so, her shriek would get muffled and that made Se-Young chuckle at her cuteness.
"Sister Se-Young, you scared me, all three of them are in there. Brother Dong-Hoon is trying to create peace in between the two." she whispered.
"Ooh." Se-Young did not say much and started to listen to what was going on inside too until they heard Tae-Hoon shouting how Hani is stupid and she believed her cousins foolishly.
Se-Young's eyes widened as she looked towards Hani, who was biting her lips and controlling her tears to fall from her moist eyes. "Hani..." before she could say anything else Hani whispered, "I... I want to be alone right now." and she ran away from there.
Se-Young panicked and wanted to run behind her but instead, she entered Dong-Hoon's room when she heard a punching noise.
"What are you guys doing?" she shouted as three of them looked towards her and she saw Tae-Hoon with one hand placed on his cheek and half crying while the other two were in a state of utter shock.
"Are you insane, Hani heard what you just said now and for God's sake, these kinds of things are not good for pregnant women. Think before you speak." Tae-Hoon's eyes shot open in worry. He never wanted to say these words in front of her. He knew that she was quite naive so, he never uttered anything to blame for the things going on with him.
"Both of you should be ashamed of yourself." Dong-Hoon said glaring at them.
"Tae-Hoon, leave this brat and go say sorry to Hani." Dong-Hoon said and Tae-Hoon was about to go, giving a hurtful look to Ji-Hoon but Se-Young stopped him.
"Are you in your right mind, they are not in a lovey-dovey relationship that he can say sorry just like that." she rubbed her face with her hands in frustration. "You should..."
Dong-Hoon cut her off. "Please, don't teach us here and if you are done eavesdropping on our conversation then you can leave this room." Dong-Hoon said with his gritted teeth and his words really hurt Se-Young's ego, she was particularly directed towards Tae-Hoon and was just trying to help in this situation as they became very good friends in the span of two years but that man in front of her was just the definition of pure rude.
"Big bro, look at yourself before disciplining others. You don't know how to talk to a girl properly. She came here to help and you are just shouting at her. You..." Ji-Hoon could not help but say what was on his mind.
"Oh, so you know how I feel. Are you living inside me or what that you can understand what I feel, huh." now Ji-Hoon and Dong-Hoon started a quarrel of their own.
"So, do you know how I feel that you were lecturing me a few minutes ago? You can feel frustrated looking at a woman who is a chef living under the roof of this house but I should be fine looking at this guy who married the girl I was looking forward to being in a relationship with. You know you are being selfish right now." Ji-Hoon again cursed himself in his head, he really had lost the filter in his mouth.
"Ji-Hoon, you are talking about your younger brother here and you know that it was not his fault but still you are dragging this matter further. You were always number one in everything. Number one in studies, number one in business, number one in every single thing. You got everything that our father wanted. I wanted all those praises and all that love you received from him but I was never like this to you Ji-Hoon. I understood every single thing. You deserved all the praise and love you were receiving. Although parents' love should be unconditional but still, I never uttered a word so you would not think that my brother is jealous of me but you are being like this to your younger brother and calling me selfish. Are not you satisfied with your life right now? You are what you dreamt to be and I sacrificed mine but still, I take this fake face of mine everywhere. But no, I am still the selfish one." his eyes were red by now, all the frustration of the years were coming out in one go.
Hearing all that even Se-Young felt bad for him and Tae-Hoon touched Dong-Hoon's hand thinking it would give him some comfort but his hand got jerked off.
"You should be thankful to dad, he saved you from all those cunning shareholders and send you to the hotel management field. I got approved to be the next CEO of Shim Inc. only after I proved myself. Those bastards were still after you that we want Shim Dong-Hoon, the first son to be the CEO. You know why, so they could eat you up. Yes, you are selfish.
