Sundays are exceptionally tiring for chefs and after coming back from the hotel Se-Young was going directly into her room as it was past dinner time but she spotted someone's sob passing through the corridor. She walked into that direction and the sobs was coming from Jung-Nan's room. She did not want to eavesdrop or something but her worry made her peak into the room, checking whether Min-Hoon is in the room or not.
She saw Jung-Nan crying alone on her bed, her hands were on her knees and was covering her eyes. Her eyes widened thinking that in the morning everything was perfect and now she was being all gloomy and alone in the room. She rushed into the room. "Aunt, what happened. Why are you crying? Is everything ok? where is uncle? everything is fine, right?" she bombarded her trail of questions in a panic. Se-Young had gotten too attached to Jung-Nan in this span of two years, more than she was before and right now, looking at her being in this situation was giving her a heartache.
Jung-Nan just lifted her head, her eyes red, tears still trailing one behind another. Se-Young sat beside her, taking her hand into her left hand while caressing her arm with the right one.
"Everything is fine, right?" she once again asked anxiously but Jung-Nan just shook her head in denial.
...
"WHAT?" Beom-Jun shouted from the other side of the mobile.
"Don't shout and find a way to free me from this prison." Tae-Hoon was locked up in his room with two guards from earlier outside his door, who were strictly instructed to not let him out of the room at all.
"Dude, you might be insane but I am not. You want me to come and get you out of that place, hell Nah. You are indirectly calling me to a lion's den. You really messed up big this time. You called her your sister-in-law and you, tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk." Beom-Jun was mocking him.
"YOU, I am here suffering and you find this thing funny. I swear, I will beat your a** once we meet." Tae-Hoon kicked in the air with frustration and exhaled sharply.
"Wellllll, it was your fault and you got to pay for what you did." Beom-Jun was still being sassy.
"For God's sake I was hella drunk and it was your fault as well, how can you leave me alone when I was that much drunk." Tae-Hoon just wanted to go inside the cell phone and beat the shit out of Beom-Jun.
"Oh my, now it is my fault, if it was not for me, you might be sleeping on the floor of the terrace in the morning. I was considerate enough to book you a suite for the night and now I am the bad guy." Tae-Hoon facepalmed and groaned in frustration.
"You coming here or not." Tae-Hoon again asked.
"No chance bro, your father will kill me first then my father will give my body to wild animals so that I can disappear from this world completely."
Tae-Hoon cut the call thinking that how useless of a friend Beom-Jun was, even though he knew that Beom-Jun could not do anything against his father.
He needed to find some other method to get out of this room and vanish for a few days.
...
Jung-Nan asked for permission to meet Hani from her parents, they were troubled but still allowed her.
Jung-Nan entered the Oh Mansion along with an anxious Ji-Hoon.
"Welcome, Ha-Min had to attend an urgent meeting last minute so..." Jung-Nan cut her off. "No worries, I am here to meet Hani. I should at least meet her before the marriage as the groom's mother." she smiled politely feeling guilty about the lie while Ji-Hoon just rolled his eyes at the word ‘groom’.
Yoon-Ji spotted Ji-Hoon beside her. "Oh my bad, this is my second son Ji-Hoon and he was Hani's senior."
Yoon-Ji awkwardly laughed. "Yes, I know that.”
...
Jung-Nan knocked and slightly pushed the door as it was not locked. Yoon-Ji had said that Hani would not answer from outside, so Jung-Nan peaked her head inside slightly. "May I come in, Hani?" she politely asked.
Hani was stunned for a moment and was about to stand up from the bed but Jung-Nan stopped her, "No, no, sit down, please. Don't bother." she said getting inside the room.
Hani just sat in her bed uncomfortably, looking at Jung-Nan, chewing her bottom lips while fidgeting her fingers. Jung-Nan sighed and went towards her.
Hani leaned and collected the blanket which was on the whole bed just to herself, making space for Jung-Nan and Jung-Nan smiled, sitting beside her.
"How are you, sweetheart?" Jung-Nan asked tilting her head, her heart was getting heavy because of how much of a dull person Hani was looking at that moment.
"I am... fine." she just nodded her head, not saying much.
Jung-Nan again sighed, taking her hand into hers. "I am sorry, I am really, really sorry for what happened." Jung-Nan's words made Hani teared up.
"N... no, you don't need to say sorry. It was not your fault." Hani was sniveling. "None of us is to blame for this, it was just certain circumstances and some bad people. I don't even blame Tae-Hoon for what happened, you really don't need to apologize to me." she pulled her hands wiping her own tears.
Jung-Nan got to know that how much of a brilliant heart Hani had, but right now her words were too much. How can a person be this selfless?
"No matter what, if we have not allowed Tae-Hoon to stay then this would have never happened." she sighed as Hani just shook her head.
"I have a request for you." Jung-Nan said hesitantly to which Hani just nodded slightly.
"Ji-Hoon..." she said with a slight louder than average voice, summoning Ji-Hoon inside the room. Hani's eyes widened looking at the man after two years. It was her senior whom she really admired.
"S... s... sunbae (senior)." She couldn't say more than this.
