She hadn't expected to hear from Lamya again, so the words took Trixie by surprise. A few moments passed before she could process the question well enough to form a response. It didn't help that she was stumped about the reasons Lamya was just now deciding to air her grievances with Trixie's intentions.
'Contrary to what you seem to think, I don't actually spend that much time reading your thoughts. You're life isn't really that interesting at the moment, and your thought process is fairly predictable,' Lamya remarked with a sour tone. 'Besides, if I take an inkling to comment on your thoughts, I prefer to address the topics at the forefront of your mind. You're less likely to freak out.'
'Aren't you polite?' Trixie rolled her eyes. That said, she was careful to think the words at Lamya rather than speak them out loud. She didn't want to draw too much attention to herself.
