"Oh cheer up, it can't go any worse than yesterday," Liron patted Titus's shoulder.
The orc felt his companion was entirely too good natured for as early in the morning as it was. He also felt Liron was far too optimistic about the prospects of the day ahead of them. As bad as the previous day had been, there was still a reasonable chance the present day would be worse. It could always be worse, Titus found.
Liron continued to chatter on about this, that, and the other. Titus just quietly ignored him and focused his gaze out the window. They would part ways soon enough, and he didn't have the energy to get into any sort of discussion with the fox-boy. His head was still pounding from the events of the previous day.
