Chapter 39 - Chapter 39

Since the invasion of the parents a couple weeks ago. One in which Jason felt a headache in just remembering it. Susan, Liz's mother, was determined to tickle death by hounding Gid and Sephie. How she still remained breathing was probably a miracle in itself if he had to be honest.

Luckily Jack came to the rescue one more time and somehow won the forgiveness for her rudeness. Why was he married to such a woman? Jason wanted to ask Liz but decided not too. It truthfully wasn't his business but he knew it wasn't for love anymore.

As for Gid who was eager to hand the throne over. Well, that was postponed as it was determined by an arm wrestling contest. After Lala suggested it, the two gave it their all, well not really as the building had more of a chance to collapse if they did. In the end, Jason easily won as Gid power didn't solely lay within his physical strength.

"You know it is not very nice to steal."

Currently sitting in a window still as he looked down below. The shadow covered his face as he looked down at a woman who appeared a couple years older than himself. In a tight black leather suit with white fluff around the neckline and a decent portion of her cleavage. She wore a black mask around her eyes with her natural platinum colored hair draped around her shoulders.

"Who are you supposed to be? A new hero in town?" She sarcastically asked, unbothered by his presence.

Well unbothered until she saw a symbol fluttering on his clothes. A symbol that recently gained a lot of fame among the media and infamous among the criminals. Clicking her tongue at her luck as she doubts this one is going to be as easy to dupe like the one in red.

"I really only have been active for a few weeks." Jason shrugged with an answer. "So you could say I'm still new."

"Since you haven't taken me down yet, are you one of the wannabes?" She asked, pointing to the symbol.

When stories of him surface, it is always like a phantom. He appears and vanishes before anyone realizes he was there. So it wasn't surprising some claimed to be the one responsible for some short lived fame.

"Well, it seems like it's your lucky day, Miss Hardy." Jason said as he turned his head. He just heard a mass amount of screamings and an explosion. "I won't be capturing you today. Something more important just happened than catching a small thief."

Felicia let out a small yelp when she watched him vanish from sight. All the jewels she had just taken were gone. Grumbling as she left to return home after taking it as a sign to retire for the night. Once home, she let out a small smirk as she reached into her cleave for the gems she hidden.

"What?" Only instead of pulling out the gems she hid them on her body. A note appeared in their place.

Reading the note, she let out a small laugh. "This hero doesn't seem shy."

--

After returning the gems, Jason appeared at the Queensboro Bridge. There he saw Spiderman struggling to hold onto a trolley car full of children and a redhead. On a very familiar hoverboard a man in green was laughing as watched.

"You have to climb down." He heard Spiderman say to the redhead.

While the woman was clearly scared she reluctantly agreed until the cable began swaying. As the web holding them up began popping off from the weight it was holding. It rapidly dropped nearly ten feet, sending the children and woman screaming.

Appearing in front of the Goblin as he attempted to ram into Spiderman. The Goblin ended up learning first hand what it felt like running into an immovable object. Slinging the unconscious man over his shoulder, Jason hovered over to the trolley. Lightly grabbing hold he effortly carried it over to shore much to the crowds surprise.

'Well, I guess it won't be surprising to see myself in the papers tomorrow.' Jason thought as cameras clicked away.

Leaving his mark, Jason soon left with the Goblin. Handing the man over to his father who said he would handle the rest. He wondered why the events were happening now since he remembered tonight's attack was supposed to happen in a couple months.

'Well, it wasn't a bad night. I at least got to see one of the hottest Marvel girls in my opinion.' Jason thought. While it took a bit of time and a need for her to be in costume, he finally remembered why Felicia, who was kind enough for the campus tour, seemed familiar.

'Black Cat, a world class thief. Who would have guessed.' Jason hummed to himself as he landed on top of a building.

Moments after landing, he heard another call for action. Vanishing from the rooftop, Jason spurred into action as the moon rose into the sky.

--

Looking down at his map of the campus, Jason attempted to navigate towards his first class. Attempted was the right word as he somehow managed to get lost despite the use of a map. Cursing his sense of direction he swore was better, he looked through the buildings quickly.

'Huh, I passed by it.' Jason thought before his eyes saw something he probably shouldn't.

In a stall, he saw Felicia Hardy changing clothes. Her smooth skin brilliantly displayed before him as she unknowingly gave him a free show. It was hard to see a piece of fat in the wrong spot as she clearly trained regularly.

'Well she is an athletic thief after all.' Jason thought as he turned his attention away.

Barely arriving on time for class, Jason soon felt bored without Lala by his side. The professor was a retired personal trainer and after a short introduction of himself. He went on outlining the semester goal and topics he will cover.

'Busy work commences.'
