"Is it me or has it been busy lately? Either a villain or some forign planet conquerors been showing up lately."
Relaxing on the couch, Jason looked upon Lala who was munching on popcorn. The two were inside the lab, currently waiting on the data to compile for their latest attempt on the warp bracelet. After fixing a few more coding bugs or revising the code once again, they were currently running it through a simulation.
"I don't know about villains that originate from this planet, but I recently learned from my mother. Plenty of organizations in the universe have been interested in this planet since you defeated Thragg." Lala lightly said. "Naturally it includes those with bad intentions.'
"So it's my fault." Jason asked slightly down.
It was almost like he unintentionally opened Pandora's box and began inviting trouble Earth is unprepared for.
"I wouldn't go that far." Lala commented. "Recently, a large surge of energy originated here."
Feeling a touch better about being told this. Jason's thoughts drifted to the tesseract which was probably the cause. He really hated that cube at the moment as not only did it invite trouble but even merged his universe with this one.
"Should I expect more conquerors to try their luck?" Jason asked.
Lala didn't answer right away, "I believe once it becomes known you are the next King of Deviluke and capability becomes known. Most won't attempt to cause much trouble."
"I guess that makes sense." Jason replied before changing the topic. "Shall we go shopping while we wait?"

On one of their lunch dates, Liz sat across from James as she poked at her food. Noticing her odd behavior, James sat his sandwich down. Taking her hand into his own, he looked at her filled with concern.
"Penny for your thoughts?"
"I was just thinking about Lala and Jason. I'm worried that they are only together because we and others pressured them into it." Liz said. "There are also those few days they didn't speak after the fair."
"Liz dear, they are teenagers and neither have experience dating. They will stumble and bicker about pointless things to us, but they will be fine. After all, they have this old fossil who has seen a lot in his long life." James gave a small smoothing smile.
"Ah, yes, the man who has two girlfriends. I think I would be a better one to come too for advice." Liz countered, but a smile could be seen on her lips.
"Ouch, going right for the kill shot." James covered his heart dramatically.
"So, Mr. Drama Queen. Tell me how come Jason doesn't put on his suit, but instead keeps it in his fortress?"
"To him, the suit is more than a suit. I believe to him it represents a light and pillar that stands tall even when all seems lost." James explained. "Right now he feels he can't live up to his thoughts and would be chasing after an impossible dream. Of course this is my own thoughts."
Liz didn't look convinced, but unless she could dive into a certain teenage boy's head. This was the answer she would have to settle with. She really hopes that he would at least wear the suit once for her. Both her and Lala were a sucker for a man in a suit after all.

"What about this shirt?" Lala asked as she held up a grey t-shirt.
"I sort of like this one more." Jason replied holding a blue one.
"Jason, you already have four of the exact color in the cart." Lala retorted.
"Then I am sure one more won't hurt." Jason answered back.
"Your closet is beginning to look like someone splashed blue paint through it all." Lala sarcastically jokes.
"Not true, there are a few other colors like grey."
"Nope, you actually tore or worn them out."
"I'm sure that isn't true." Jason countered.
"Then let's make a bet. If I am right I get to pick dinner and movie. If you're right you get to choose." Lala offered.
"Deal."
A couple hours later after finishing up their shopping and returning to the lab in order to check upon their test. Jason grumbled as he lost the bet.

In the helicarrier, Nick Fury was currently facing a woman he hadn't seen in person for nearly thirty years. Besides a new hair style she didn't look all that different from then, something he knew from a few messages she sent from time to time. Standing in front in a colorful red and blue suit with a large white star on her chest.
"What do you mean an alien princess is living on Earth. Not a normal one but one whose father controls most of the universe." Fury pinched his nose. "Is she a danger to this planet?"
"Unlikely, but her fiancé on the other hand. Word had spread that he defeated Thragg, Ronan the Accuser and repelled the Coalition of Planets advances by himself." Carol Danvers replied. "Each one many would have a hard time against, he took care of and rumored without a scratch."
"Do we know who or what race he is by chance?" Fury asked.
"Kryptonian, but I wouldn't put much faith in that. Records say they have been extinct for nearly sixty billion years."
"Well, give me all there is to know. It is better than nothing at this point." Fury said. "So are you staying on this planet then?"
"Yes, at least until I can locate the princess and the rumored fiancé." She replied.
When Nick Fury received all there was known about Kryptonian, he felt like bashing some skulls. What was known was speculation about the race and not very much needed information. Besides being a warrior race that turned to science, he basically knew nothing about the race. Now, with a rough sketch of a teenage boy who he suspected to be the rumored fiancé.
'Why did they come to this planet?' Nick Fury thought to himself.
