Under the blazing sun as children ran across the sand while couples walked along the shoreline as the ocean waves rolled over their feet. A group of four could be seen setting up a large towel and two colorful umbrellas. The two males were rocking a pair of blue shorts and t-shirts showing off their well crafted physiques.
The two females on the other hand while they were showing off a fair amount of skin in their bikinis. The older one was a bit more modest as she wore a thin top and bottom. However, given the group's unique appearance or the women naturally beauties they turned heads.
"How come I got to wear this?" Lala grumbled as she spread sun cream across her skin.
Next to her Liz was doing the same while the two males peered out at the ocean blues. While it was a spontaneous idea to go to the beach. Neither of the two were complaining as they made the Father and Son take them swimsuit shopping.
"While I don't really know all about your race Lala, but you don't want to end up like her in the future." Liz commented as she pointed to a fair distance away from her.
The woman was slightly large, but calling her fat would be too much. She was slightly chubby but that wasn't what Liz was referring to. Her hair skin was already sagging in spots as wrinkles gave her an appearance older than she should have. Her children were calling out to her but she remained unmoved as she just watched them splash in ankle deep water.
After a few minutes of studying the woman, Lala shook her head. "Due to inheriting my mothers genes it won't happen even if I didn't put the effort in."
"Hon, there is nothing wrong with taking some precautions to protect your skin. You don't want to be like these two numbskulls." Liz pointed to their companions.
"Please, I never heard of a kryptonian getting a sunburn or bad skin." James replied slightly bragging about it. Until he saw the small glare sent his way, "I mean, unless they're clones...why don't you pass over the sun screen."
"Should I find a chew toy for your dog house?" Jason joked lightly.
"Your joke was terrible." James replied back. "Why are you wearing glasses anyways?"
"Lala said they looked good on me." Jason replied weakly as he rubbed his cheek. He could still vividly remember her soft lips touching his cheek. Which was why he found it slightly embarrassing saying this to his father.
"Whipped," James lowly whispered so only with super hearing could one hear it.
While the two were bickering while they basked in the sun. Liz suddenly interrupted them, "Boys, can you get our backs."
As if the magic words were spoken, they were by their side ready to help. As they laid down, Liz gave Lala a fist bump with a wink as if this whole thing was planned. Something that wasn't lost on either father or son.

While they were enjoying the beach, James had decided to take a small stroll with Liz. Leaving the two teens to watch over their stuff. As the two sat under the umbrella, Lala positioned herself within Jason's arms.
"Jason?" Lala asked.
"Yeah."
"I hope Liz isn't wrong about this." Lala answered weirdly.
Before he could ask about what, he felt her soft lips on his own. As she took his first kiss, instead of pushing her away. Jason felt happy inside as he wished it could go on forever. Sadly, it couldn't as a man fell from the sky like a rocket hitting the sand.
In an appearance of a white uniform as the sand settles and the nearby beach goers scattered. The explosive entrance revealed a man with short black hair with a few small streaks of grey. His eyes were blazing angrily as a large jagged scar ran over his face.
"I missed once, Princess but I won't miss again?"
"What?" Jason said as he rapidly moved between Lala and the man.
The man moved at great speed that far surpassed that of a human. Well humans that weren't mutants, empowered, or in high tech suits. As he attempted to protect Lala, Jason felt a great force slammed into him sending him flying across the beach and into boulders hundreds of feet away.
"Jason!" Lala shouted.
While she wasn't a fighter, she wasn't completely helpless as she was part of the deviluke race. A race that could safely have some physical strength to back themselves up with. Using her great strength she attempted to punch the man, but beside forcing him to slide back a couple feet. She cried out in pain as she tucked her hand into her stomach.
"Is that all you got princess? I barely felt that." Thragg laughed.
"Then tell me if you feel this?" Jason's voice echoed as he appeared in an instant he heard Lala cry.
Delivering a heavy uppercut that sent shockwaves through the ground and caused a small sand storm around them. Thragg was sent flying high into the sky with a couple blood droplets falling.
Taking off his glasses, Jason quickly x-rayed Lala's hand. "You got a couple fractures."
"I'm fine, go deal with him." Lala said.
Nodding as he tossed her his glasses, he shot off into the sky. Pulling back his fist, he slammed into the man who appeared stunned at his own blood. As the thundering echoed out from their collusion, Jason continued his onslaught of punches.
"Human? How can you be so strong? No you can't be a human." Thragg angrily stated as he broke the onslaught. Delivering his own powerful blow, Jason felt as if his insides were shaken as he fell like a comet falling from the sky.
Crashing deep into forest hundreds of miles from the beach. A long trail of trees were uprooted as Jason dug up a large trench he made with his face. Landing not far from him, Thragg laughed.
"Are you an offspring of a Viltrumite? Did one manage to escape my grasp?" Thragg shouted angrily. "No, it should be impossible as I, Thragg the last Viltrumite wouldn't make such a mistake. Boy, tell me what race you are."
"I wouldn't worry about that." Jason said as he stood up. Under the yellow sun his body was rapidly returning to its peak. "You just need to know you are going to lose here."
Running at the man, Jason delivered three powerful punches to the man's head. With each punch, Jason felt his arm numbing with each punch. It felt like he was punching an immovable object. On the third punch and putting most of his strength behind him. The surroundings were instantly remodeled once again as trees, dirt and everything was destroyed.
As he panted a bit, Jason realised something was wrong. In front of him, Thragg appeared before him once more. Receiving a bloody fist to his cheek, Jason shot off like a rocket without any control.
"Boy, you have managed to anger me. After I destroy you and kill the princess. I will destroy this pathetic planet." Thragg roared as he gave chase.
When Jason finally could regain control, he ended up crashing down into the densely packed downtown Miami. Rolling down the street as he looked out cars left and right. Jason stood up where instantly threw a right hook and knocked Thragg hopefully out of the city.
"I can't let you destroy this planet." Jason said firmly.
Wiping his blood from his lips, he chased after Thragg and continued to punch him towards the sky. Their battle was too dangerous to be fought near the ground or cities.
"Please, as if you care about these primitive beings." Thragg threw a punch connecting with Jason's. "It's clear you could rule over this pathetic race, but you instead protect them."
Blowing each other back. Jason began to speak, "Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong about caring about them. It is true that I could rule over them if I desired but it isn't why I am fighting you. You have made the worst mistake that you could have made."
"What mistake could I make?'
"You decided to hurt my best friend and I can't let that stand." Jason said as his eyes glowed red.
Moving faster than he had ever before and with strength he never used before. Jason slammed into Thragg with a thunderous fist, it was unknown how far it echoed as Thragg lost consciousness. Catching the bloody body as Jason didn't want to risk the humans getting ahold of him.

Back down on the beach, Lala who was cradling her hand looked slightly worried. As she felt a hand land on her shoulder, she saw James behind her.
"Don't need to worry. He will be fine." James assured her.
"How can you be sure?"
"Even if Jason is still growing, he is strong enough to handle it." James replied calmly before a smile formed.
Landing not far from them with the man slung over his shoulder, Jason appeared in battered and torn clothes. However, he gave her a bright smile as he held up his fingers in a victory sign.
"Well, have no fear, for I am here.."
