My eyes flutter, "You said you didn't have a daughter named Chickie so do you or not?"
I'm starting to think this man disowned his little girl. "jodidamente la odio."
"And what does that mean?" I put my cheek in my right palm. He grits his teeth, "I hate her. I hate my daughter."
"One, don't get mad I don't know Spanish and two, why?"
"She's the fucking reason I'm in this mess." his head falls in his hands. "I don't know!"
"Understandable."
"She sent me in circles. I was at the door one minute and in the bathroom, I'm dying—is she dead?"
"Yes..."
"Oh, thank God..." he cries into palms. "Odio tanto a mi puta hija."
There's a stove in the kitchen. That's a nice stove. What happened to Ciccaco? "Gracias Jesús, finalmente se ha ido." he turns to me. "I hope she burns in hell."
"Well goddamn, what did she do?"
Jose furrows.

//I was eight. Vampires get a lot through betting. so, I guess you can figure out how I got into bullshit. First, I went to school with Deidre, who at the moment I'm questioning to be my husband. However, I don't have a ring.
It was the summer and we were taking school pictures. He's part of the She Clan. My madre didn't approve of me messing with a black vampire. But I stuck and did it anyway. I say sneaking but back then. I thought I could help him.
We were released from class to go out the backdoor to the blacktop. I was fairly new; I pluck flowers from the small garden pot under the tree nearby. As I'm plunking a daisy, a ball hits me in the head. I didn't think too much of it given I was close to the basketball court. a tall boy came running up to me to apologize, his hair white and feathery. "Sorry." He says, "You ok?"
"Yeah," I rub the ache away. I'm looking into his eyes, two different colors, brown on the left and green on the right. "I like your eyes."//
I hate people.
I hate my parents and I hate being this type of... thing!!! Papa always talks about riches but you have to be a vampire! I don't believe that. Instead of sacrificing to a demon. What if we had all the power?
We could... I believe that.
My government name is Tammy, no actual last name given. Though I change it from time to time. This magic is funny to work with. The DOHRCC is using it whilst supplying medicine to the healthy to kill them in order to test these rituals.
Yes, I am a former vampire and of Jose—aka King Cottonmouth. I am Mexican but unlike my sister I don't look like shit. Speaking of...
Thankful has been my experiment for at least—I have no idea how long. I have been keeping track of my age. It's been a good 60 something years. I'm sixty-seven years old and Agradecida, my sister, my twin, is the same age. Jose, my damned father, is about 189 years old.
If one doesn't keep track it's easy to fall into the confusion of the evil eye. Asphy'hod is one unique creature.
I'm not sure what Melvin wants but he has his own trap house. Aw! I'm so lucky. This is what I mean. We have the same mind and he comes from the Lyon House. I was smitten instantly. The charms of a country boy with a hint of culture and class.
He is a former hood negro but he has the brains of Einstein with the heart of civil rights leader. Not to mention the delicious—never mind.
I'm not a nurse. I'm his first lady and the first hoe, the head hoe is important to a vampire. That's his main juice box, the one that keeps the house in check. Sometimes submissive yet always ready to defend the castle.
I can't believe fucking Martha wanted to fuck Melvin. La perra blanca ni siquiera sabe cómo manejar una polla tan grande. She's fucking 94. She's President's thottie. He doesn't suck her off though... but me being a sexy Latina, thick in the hips, perfect breast, plus she's fucking white!
Things I get that Martha can't. I get my ass ate.
But onto more important things. I killed my sister. I found one of the medallions in the house. The Eye of Sebastian, Melvin has Oi Yeae and Anesthesia's Tiara.
The medallions are gifts like how the prophets had their gifts from the angels and God himself. Michael gave Solomon the ring and Moses got the ten commandments plus a stick.
Or something.
In the basement I have Thankful's body split open on top of a ritual. The ritual circle is purple and emitting these wisps. Look at her, all laid the fuck out like the useless bitch she is. How cute.
I didn't get Magna to the checkpoint. She's fighting me from somewhere.
Guess I still have to learn about this. I have no idea what happened at the castle. If it's my mother I don't know why she would interfere. I was hoping to get Magna's body, he's been touched by an angel. If I gave him to Melvin, he said he would make me immortal. I could have it all.
What if I asked him for a puppet? How many souls could I put in that?
"Doctor Austin. Reaching Doctor Tammy Austin." I have got to stop changing my name. "Please report to hospital room 301 for assisting in surgery." Fantastic I love cutting people open.
I make my way to the designated room. That's on the fourth floor I believe.
It's things like this that God doesn't know how to do. We have so many options in this world. Having the means, the opportunity to turn people into actual vampires. Some don't want the ritual, that's understandable. They fear they might lose themselves if their soul departs. Surgery could kill them but the surgery would provide an explanation.
When I make it to the room, there's blood on the floor and a boney beast staring at me. A doctor is in the corner of the room with his neck bitten. The skeleton figure opens its jawbone. "OBAYIFO!"
I take a step back. I don't have any charms on me.
The vampire steps forward. "Body!" it reaches out its hand. "My body!"
My back hits the door, I fumble trying to hold the handle.
The skeleton's teeth clatter, their neck twitches. "Mine..." the soul sweeps out its mouth. Its mouth widens and the soul escapes to choke me. I can't get free.
My body slides up the door, the vampire's soul holding me. The door jiggles, "Doctor Kar?" the door rocks. "Doctor Kar! Stop the surgery, I have new information on the patient!"
I don't know who this could be or who they were formerly. "What... do you want?"
Their eyes are pink. Why is that such a deadly color? "My house... I want my house..."
"I'm a doctor! Not a landlord!" I struggle. "I don't care!" their soul flings me to the left wall. My head hits the hardness and I barely keep conscious. "Doctor Kar! What in the--" I get my senses together to find the skeleton opening the door with its soul. "Mine?" It sucks the doctor in and chews on his neck. "Mine..."
I have to get up. Where's Melvin?

The alarms are going off. It's like music. "ALERT! ALERT! WE HAVE A VAMPIRE BREACH! PLEASE LOCK ALL PATIENT ROOMS AND SECURE THE DYING!"
It's that lovely? Death has always been interesting to me. I went to college or as Childhood would say, cool-leg, just to be funny.
She's was a vampire; I didn't know at first but my cousins did and my uncle. I asked Childhood what was it like to be immortal? She had the great nerve to call me retarded, right off the back.
She's not a true immortal then what is the benefit in being a vampire. "You misunderstand. Immortality is a curse not a blessing. If you want it so bad, just stop being fucking stupid..."
What a fucking bitch. Immortality is a human right. Why would be God's children and not have some immortality? Vampires are here, in this world, so that we can have that. Thank God I discovered the Ghytto with Chauncey.
It's flawed that God, the former, could keep something from us. People are dying, we are scared of death itself.
It's not a sin, it's a gift.
Now to make it to twenty more years. I got to get Chauncey's new arms and legs later if he's done committing mass familicide.
My father's brother was so fucking stupid.
The church gave it all. It granted a glorious thing. Immortality, you stay in power. You keep the love of your life, you can see the world change, discover. If you make it, you got all the time in the world to do it. Imagine setting goals in life to be the first person to cure cancer for good.
There is no cancer because you gain immortality and save a generation from the fear of death by disease, sanity, self, and people alike.
Childhood said the biggest fear is reality.
The greatest fear is the unknown. If you go missing, who knows? No one. You hide in the shadows left to be forgotten.
That's eerie and that's the true envy in vampires.
I could be a corpse but I live again to tell another tale.
I'm just a whole busy body.
