Chapter 48 - I can rescue myself thank you

As soon as all the guards went out, Isabel hurried and take herself out of that dungeon cell. She checked each cell one by one and looked for Hash.

It's been five minutes since she still can't find his cell.

"Babe?!" She can't take it anymore.

"What the hell Isabel? get out of here now!" He yelled.

"Where are you, I can't leave you here, silly," she followed the direction of his voice.

"Babe, can you yell one more time?!" She stared at the ceiling, waited for his reply.

"I can rescue myself, thank you very much!" she can hear a hint of irritation in his tone.

"There you are!" She ignored what he said and went on his way.

At the very end of the dungeon, his location was a double door cell, it's because they knew he was an important person.

She opened the first door, but the second door was smaller. The key couldn't fit.

"I told you to leave! why is that hard to understand?"

His stares can burn holes. He didn't need to say anything to he's angry at her. But she ignored him, she's not even listening she's busy figuring out how to open the cell door.

"Isabel, hey! look at me." She was studying the lock mechanism this time.

"Honey, stop what you're doing and come here." He lowered his voice pleading.

"I'm almost getting the mech-" She saw him looking so serious.

"Leave. You don't know what these people can do. This kingdom doesn't treat women as people, but properties, do you understand? Go, someone at the gates is already waiting." He cradled her face with both of his hands.

"I can take care of myself, go." Hash sighed in relief when she nodded.

She pouted. She wanted to ask why he couldn't come when they can actually come out together. The kid will come back soon, she's sure he had a key with him.

He saw her facial reaction.

"Do you think this is a child's play?" He massaged his temples.

"I know it's not a child's play!" She signed and hanged her shoulders.

"Yeah, whatever!" Helpless, she turned and walked away.

She followed his instruction to go to the nearest gate. The poor kid didn't see her in the dungeons and seemed lost to his sanity. running to the center and cried he lost his soul to a witch.

It's been two hours, and she had heard nothing from Hash. She can't stop fidgeting.

"Hey, do you have news of your prince?"

It's her twenty-fifth question within an hour. The soldier's gaze was far away. He shook his head, showing he didn't want to talk to her.

"Attention, everyone shall witness the execution of Prince Hashim of Novalia!" A palace messenger was screaming the declaration on the streets of Byzen.

The palace men run past her with their horses. She was ready to follow them.

"Princess, no!" Five Hash's men stopped her.

"That was my husband they will going to execute, you stupid moron!" Her body was now hanging on one of Hash's men.

"Relax, your highness the prince has a plan." The man that spoke looked confident. He could be an assassin he chose.

"Really? then tell me," she was expecting for them to tell her his plans.

But they were just staring at each other, that kind of look when you were trying to think quick but nothing came out.

"You are all kidding me?!" She felt a dark air passed her nose.

"Bring me to him now!" She wailed like a banshee. She didn't know why she was this affected. All she know was that he wanted him beside her.

"B-but Pri-" She's already mounting on a horse.

"You can all stay here, but I won't let Hash die!" She howled at them again.

She forgot she didn't know how to ride a horse.

"Someone drive this horse for me!" She commanded.

Soon they're all parading to the execution hall.

The Byzen King and Prince Khalid were present. The guillotine was all ready; they covered Hash's head with a burlap. They were reading about his crimes and punishment.

"Stop!!!" Her voice was echoing and hurt everyone's ears.

"Isabel?" Hash murmured.

"What the f-?" Prince Khalid can't believe what he's seeing right now.

She went down from the horse the wrong way. It hurt her knees, but she didn't mind.

"Right on time." She said as she walked closer to where Hash was.

"You said you can save yourself, Idiot!" She can't stop herself from getting pissed at him.

"It doesn't matter, you should run away." His voice was so stern, his expression fierce.

"Let me deal with this first and kill you with my own hands later." Her voice was low but growling.

"Hey! everyone lis-" She was about to invent something that will scare the royal family of Byzen.

"Witch! she's a witch!" The young guard from the dungeon completely lost his sanity.

The king's forehead furrowed, gawking. They made his execution chamber into a circus, and it took him several moments to comprehend the situation.

"How dare you make a fool of my execution committee?" He stood up and stop his feet.

"Quickly! include this woman and that boy!" He furiously sat back in his seat.

"You can't execute me or my husband, not right now!" Isabel declared. Hash gave her a questioning look.

"Relax, Love, I got this," she whispered.

"I can't relax when they said you're also included in the execution!" He barked at her.

She ignored him.

"Hey, you! tell them what exactly I did."

The boy ran to the center and kneeled in front of the king.

"Your highness, I'm a dungeon guard and this woman stole my soul!" He was crying, sticking his head on the king's boots.

"What heresy are you talking about?"

The king raised an eyebrow, disregarded the boy's plea.

"Take this idiot out of my face." Somehow, he had restored his cool.

"Please believe me! That thing on her wrist contains my soul."

Hash let out a loud guffaw.

"I didn't see that wrist cam before."

How did he even know what a wrist cam was? she has no time, for now. He will deal with that later.

"Yes, this has his soul, and I can take all of your soul too." She walks a little closer to where the royal father and son were.

"Do you want to see that boy's soul, your Majesties?" She actually was not tech-savvy and didn't care about taking pictures in her smartwatch. She only needed it to face time with her family before. It took her three minutes to pull his picture.

"Here! look at his trap soul."

The wide-eyed boy in the picture startled the king.

"What an abomination!" He stuck himself in the backrest of his chair.

"Let my husband go."

Hash's stomach was already hurting from too much laughing. He had more drama in his plan, but his little wife had comedy.

"I'll take my liberty in unbinding Prince Hashim." She didn't wait for their permission.

"Hold your horses, princess." Prince Khalid stood up and stepped closer.

"Don't come any closer, Prince Khalid." She raised pointed her hand as a weapon against him.

"I don't buy that soul thing, you might have some trickery in your hands but you can't fool me."
