Chapter 33 - The secrets of the sacred stone garden

"I'll be right back," Isabel said, then she ran towards her small house and threw the books on the couch. Then she rushes back to the golf course cart.

"Can you please bring me to the sacred stone garden?" She pleaded.

She didn't meet Alex's eyes, which are looking puzzled but didn't say anything. Isabel gave out a sigh of relief when they drove away towards the sacred stone garden. It's not that far from her house though, but she's in a hurry.

She is already studying the tallest tower while they're drawing closer. The longer Isabel stares at it, she realized that it resembles a roughly made obelisk.

Isabel heard about Egyptian artifacts that have unexplainable phenomena. So she is thinking, these stones may have a relationship to her going over to Novalia.

She jumps off the cart and ran towards the stone. Isabel checked the lower stones first. The stones measure up to her waist and have random shapes.

The writing is simultaneous as if the stones were once a single piece. Isabel sat down and examined the stones closer. From a closer look, it looked somewhere between Hebrew and Arabic but it's not.

She took her iPhone and take a picture of the inscriptions.

"Why do you have a sudden interest in the sacred stones?" Alex asks when she comes closer.

"Well, I don't know, I have a strong feeling that they are responsible for my memory loss," Isabel answered. And then she remembered Alex seem to know about the resort.

"Do you know about these inscriptions?" She is almost sure Alex will answer yes. But Alex shook her head.

"None of the staff knew about these stones. It's already been here before the facility." Alex answered, which surprised Isabel and disappoints her at the same time.

She stares back at the stone and looked at it harder hoping it will transform into a modern alphabet. She touches and hoping she can sense something to it, closes her eyes and feels the smooth surface of the stone.

Isabel sigh, she felt nothing, no effect whatsoever. She stood up and then started checking out the obelisks. She closes her eyes and tried tapping her hands on one of the stones. Strong electricity surges through her body.

"Hah!" It Jolted Isabel.

"Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed.

"What, did something happened?" Alex said comes and checked her.

"H-here! Right here. Try touching it" She took Alex's hands and tried putting it on the place she touched earlier.

Alex closes her eyes, expecting that something will happen to her too. But after a few seconds, nothing went wrong.

"You are stressing out, come, let me bring you home," Alex said, looking irritated.

"Oh, you felt nothing?" She must have been stressing indeed.

"Wait! Let me finish taking pictures of these inscriptions." She said, then continued checking the inscriptions. And then she saw something familiar.

Right, Elizabeth's Raven's Signature was camouflaged in the inscription. She looked for that part, she looked for that signature on the stones but there's none. Elizabeth had known something about the secrets of the sacred stones.

She has to go back to Raven's palace. She might find the answers there. She has to go back to Novalia.

"Alex, I'm wondering if can have access and check Mrs. Raven's Museum again?" She asks like there's nothing to it.

"Of course you can, but Isabel, I'm your guide, you're supposed to tell me what's going on and how you feel." Alex looked worried.

This is the first time she saw concern out of her condescending attitude towards her.

"I'm fine Alex. I just feel empty and uneasy with my memory last these past few days." She thinks she has a valid excuse.

"Fine, we stop your activity for a few days and relax at your house," Alex advised her then drives her back to her house.

"Here, use this to access the Raven's Museum." She handed her an access card. Right! No one can come in unless you're an employee.

She looks at Alex in disbelief. Why would she give her full access?

"Whatever you are looking for. I hope you'll find it before your time," Alex said smiling, her usual business-like smile. Then drive the cart away from her house.

In her bed, she was cross-referencing her own library with the electronic book she got.

"Sheesh!" She taps her forehead with her palms. She even has newer editions of these heavy books she was holding. She checked about Teleportation and it explains something about Quantum state and Entanglement.

"Great! Grandpa Einstien, come forth I beseech you!" Isabel can't believe she's reading Quantum physics.

In her digital books, it says:

In Quantum physics, all is being interpreted into particles like electrons and atoms. Each has its distinct properties like positions, momentum, and intrinsic spin.

In short, we should break the body apart into smaller particles and transport it to another place. But there's a catch, measuring the movements of a particle is hard, the only option is to scatter it apart.

In other words, even if it is possible there is no guarantee that your body is the same way as it is.

All the information she read is hypothetical and there is not a single one of the books told here where to get that machine.

"Damn you Papa Einstein and company!" She cursed. She wished she can share this information with Hash. This brings her to the odd thing about him on top of everything that is happening.

Isabel remembered the note that he wrote in English. And He can also read her iPad and even made a DIY solar charger. Is it possible that something transported him to that place? That means he was once a patient or even a staff of Raven's resort.

With all the things that happened to her, she forgot that she still has cancer and very weak physically. Isabel fell asleep in the middle of all the mess in front of her. Her mind went back to Novalia and having a fight with one of the concubines.
