Albel:
I was eavesdropping on their conversation, and got to know that a boy in the neighborhood had died and mother was informed about the funeral. I hoped for the boy's soul to rest in peace and his mother to be okay. After listening to what the informer had to say, he left.
Mother came in and I asked her why he had come as if I did not know. To that she said, "It's nothing, darling! *softly chuckles* I was called to a joyous event! But I don't think you will be able to attend it..." This reply of hers was a bit intriguing.
I picked a dress and some jewellery from the closet. She got dressed and left the house in my care. I got curious about this 'event', so I followed her. I chose not to wear my footwear as I did not want to make noises while walking. I was treading very carefully and tried my best not to make a sound.
She kept walking speedily by taking strides as large as possible and showed no signs of stopping. Now, I had a bit of catching up to do. So, I began jogging towards her; I got too close to her and accidentally stepped on a dry twig, it snapped and cut my heel. She suddenly stopped.
Anagha:
I was informed this morning about the sad demise of the boy; of the witness boy to be precise. When I heard the news from the informer, I felt nothing...but happiness! -- I mean it is so sad, I forgot that funeral isn't a happy event *laughs nervously* I hope the boy's soul rests in peace.
I don't know if they'll like it if I show my face there...but who cares? I had to look my best either way. So I made my dear daughter take out a pretty dress and some jewellery which I had been dying to wear for so long and finally! today is the day I get to wear it. She stood at the door to see me off. Such a sweet girl! *smiles*
Albel:
She turned back and looked to her left and right and then looked forward. I hid myself behind the tree nearby. She took out a compact make-up box from her purse, checked her face for a bit and began walking at the same pace as before.
I limped for the rest of the journey and after walking for almost two miles, she finally stopped walking. It's seemed like she had reached the venue. She stood there but did not go in. She sat on a boulder and watched the people come and go from a distance.
I sat on the ground at a safe distance where I could observe her face. The view was not very clear as I had to hide behind shrubs in an uncomfortable position and, I was scrutinising from a distance. She kept smiling as she watched the visitors go in and out then she suddenly hid herself.
I noticed that and I saw a dead body being carried by four men out of the house. They were walking towards the place we were hiding in. As they came closer, my heart began throbbing faster than it already was from fear of either getting caught by mother or them. After they walked past, mother went back and sat on the boulder. I was able breathe a sigh of relief.
Anagha:
As I started walking, I was able to feel someone's presence. It felt as if someone was following me. So, I walked as fast as I could hoping they would lose me midway. But, it seemed like the person kept following me and was able to keep up with my fast pace.
My suspicion got confirmed when I heard a sound. But I wanted to re-check just in case. So I checked my make-up and the make-up box had a small mirror attached to it and I was able to see the view behind me without turning around.
At first, I saw a snapped twig and it was stained red with blood and there were some drops of blood in the mud around the twig. Then I was able to see someone's bleeding heel. Then I saw her face. *smirks* Such a naïve girl...
