Albel:
I was terrified that day and wasn't able to eat properly. So I just sat at the dining table and nibbled on my food. I was too scared to look into mother's eyes. But I mustered up my courage and took a little peek at her face by lifting up my sunken head and then as she was about to lift her head I immediately looked down to my plate. She looked at me and said "Are you okay? You aren't eating properly... Here have some more bread" and put a slice of bread on to my plate.
As I was about to take a bite; "Have you ever heard of this story about the cat which sat on the wall?" she said. I said "No...I haven't." as I took a bite of the bread. "Let me tell you.*smiles* There was a curious cat which always sat on the wall. The wall it sat on was the tall wall which was the partition of the two houses which were built side by side. The cat as nosy as it was always listened to everything the either of the members of the house talked about. But one day it witnessed something it shouldn't have and a member of the house noticed and tried to chase the cat, so the cat jumped and fell off of the wall and got injured. Then the member of the house came and killed it." she said as she took another bite of the salad from her plate.
I asked "Mother, what's the moral of the story?" out of curiosity. She said "curiosity killed the cat." I then asked "What does that mean?" she said "One should only know so much that they're supposed to know. Having too much knowledge about something can be harmful."*smiles*"You do know that right?" ; as I was about to answer "Yes, mothe--" she said "My daughter would never be curious about unnecessary things now, would she?" as she looked at me with expectant eyes and a peculiar grin on her face. For some reason, I felt uncomfortable after finding out the moral of the story. So I just awkwardly smiled back at her.
Anagha:
I watched her as she nibbled on her food. Oh my goodness! My daughter's such a nice girl! She listens to her mother and now look at her she's reflecting on her actions. But every mistake has it's price to pay, does it not? *smirks*
Haqikah:
I came back home from the funeral that night and was thinking about how suddenly the boy had died. I was taken aback when I heard about the news. I still couldn't comprehend the fact that someone had died amidst the celebration of such a joyous event.
But when as I sat and talked to the boy's mother. I saw her sitting there. I wondered why she had come. I guess she's having the time of her life while sitting there and watching the 'view'. Old habits die hard huh? *chuckles*
