Chapter 28: The Curse of His Name
It was a breeze wind in that midnight. Brent walked back to his home after returning from Lilian's house. He finally feels at ease after having a talk with her. He can feel assured a little even though he can feel that she still have a little suspicious feeling toward him.
However, he is sure that he will gradually make her heart believe in him. If that happened, it will help their mission easy and they can finish their mission quickly.
He doesn't know what will happen after this, but the only thing that he knows and is sure of is he wants to protect her at all costs. Whatever it is, Brent doesn't want her to be hurt too.
Whatever happened after this, he will face it bravely. Indeed, he realized that the very first time they had come into the human world, he was very sure to complete their real intentions. But, after he meets Lilian, his heart gradually wavers because of her.
He was still thinking hard about his feeling all the time. He know that it was forbidden for them to have those feelings. But, without him realizing it, he actually made a big change between the human and the monster world.
All of sudden…, Someone yelling toward him. ''Hey! Finally, you come. We waiting for you for like a decade time.''
''Darren? Grey? What are you two doing here? At this hour??'' He is a little surprised.
''I guess you didn't check your phones. We had sent it to you earlier.'' Darren reply.
''Oh, you did? I didn't see it yet. Maybe I was busy just now.'' Brent said while looking and checking his messages on his handphone.
''Busy?? What are you doing? Is their our mission?'' Grey asks.
''No. I just return from Lilian house. We just have a little talk.''
Both Darren and Grey gasping. They look at him with curiosity. They wait for him to continue his word to tell them the details but he just gives them a short answer.
''We just have a conversation. That's all.'' Brent said calmly. Both of them look at him with an upset look.
''Let's go inside.''

Later on, Brent and his friends were hanging out in his house backyard. They started talking about many things until Brent did not realize that he said something weird toward them.
Both Darren and Grey were surprised. They look at Brent with curiosity. This is the first time they saw him with that bewildering face. Actually, they noticed that his behaviour was a little strange since he return back from Lilian house.
Darren feel impatient and he asked him again about what he really said. Grey was looking at Brent with confused too.
"Brent? Are you okay? Is that something disturbing you?'' Darren asked.
''No. I'm fine. Um-actually, not really.''
''What are you thinking? It looks like your face show that you were thinking about something really hard.'' Darren reply.
''Let me guess. I think...you were thinking about Lilian, right?'' Grey said.
''She said my full name,'' Brent replies calmly. But, his face looks tense. ''What??! Are you serious? I mean, did she really say that?? She called your full name??'' Darren said in shock. Grey too.
Brent sighing. He looks at both of them in silence.
''Are you worried about the curse of your name?'' Grey asked.
''I don't know. I'm confused. I dont know what will happen. She is human. I don't know if this curse will work on her or not. I just remembered that if that someone is a monster too like us, the curse will not be worst. But…'' Brent said and he suddenly stop his words.
''I think, we had to talk to Rianna tomorrow and ask her about this. I think she knows about this. She can help us to check on this curse.'' Darren added.
''Yeah, he right. Let's talk about this tomorrow. Don't worry about that. I think it will be not that worst like what are you thinking. Anyway, you have to remember that the gemstones are still on her.'' Grey said.
However, three of them still wondering how Lilian can know his full name. As they know, they already make their real name in secret. Even at the campus, they also didnt share their full name or other information about them.
When they know about this, they become more suspicious toward Lilian and the things is become interesting because Lilian suddenly knows about Brent full name.
''No wonder that girl looked attracted when the first time we saw her,'' Darren said while smirking.
At that moment, when they still have their conversation, Brent handphone was ringing. He was surprised to see Lilian calling him at that time. He quickly picks it up and walks away from that place into his bedroom.
Both Darren and Grey was startled. But, they just smirked when seeing his behaviour like that. They know that he has changed since he meets Lilian. Anyway, they are happy for him because he is not cold as before.
''He slowly becomes like a human, right?'' Darren said. He chuckles.
''Yeah, you're right. I feel glad, but...I think at the same time, I was scared.'' Grey reply.
''Scared? Why?? It's good for him then.'' Darren reply. He was silent for a second. He actually know why Grey was feeling scared. They know that Brent gradually have a feeling toward Lilian and the matter is, she is human.

''Hello?''
''Hello, Senior? Are you sleeping?''
''Not yet. I still hanging out with Darren and Grey at my house backyard.''
''Oh, I see…'' She said then silent.
''Why are you calling me? Is there something happening?''
''Oh-umm, not really. I-I just...just wonder if you already arrived at your home safely. I have sent a message to you but...I didnt get your reply, so…''
''Oh yeah? I'm sorry. Maybe I was talking with them. I didn't hear your messages. Anyway, I'm a guy, so you don't need to worry about me.'' He said and chuckle a little.
''Yeah, you're right. I just wondering.'' She replies in nervous and chuckles too.
''Anything else?''
''Uhm-mm...do you have a class tomorrow?''
''Yeah, I have a class in the morning.''
''Oh...Uhm, did you busy in the evening? Can we…?''
''Oh! I forget that I have a meeting with my professor to discuss my final year project. Maybe I will stay at the campus until late.''
''Oh, I see. Yeah, you should do your final year project well. Fighting!''
''Thank you. And you? Did you have a class tomorrow?''
''Yes. I have a full-day class tomorrow.''
''Do you want me to wait for you tomorrow? We can go back together.''
''No. It's okay. I maybe go back with my friends. You just do your project. Uhm, okay...bye, Senior! Good night!''
Brent feel a little strange after their conversation ended. He feel that she want to say something to him but she did not tell him anyway.
Then, he quickly checks all the messages that she has sent to him earlier. It look like she was really waiting for him for a long time to reply to her messages. There were more than ten messages that she sent.
He just grinned when reading her messages one by one. He felt sorry for her because make her waiting and she also makes a call toward him at the midnight.
All of a sudden, he got a message from Andrew. He tell him that tomorrow was Lilian birthday. He was surprised. At the same time, he felt sorry again toward her.
He blames himself because he didn't realize it. He knows that each human has always celebrated their birthday here and they also have a gathering together to do a party.
After knowing about that, he immediately gives a call to his professor that night and tells him that he want to postpone their discussion for tomorrow.

{A little thing about the curse...}
It has happened a long time ago when Brent was still a child, all the heirs from the royal monster have to take the curse into their family because it will prevent them to be old.
His parents have chosen their younger son which is Brent to take the curse because they want him to still be in their royal legacy to lead their kingdom after.
The curse he has had since his childhood until now is he can't let other people like a human say his full name. In the monster world also, whoever has a lower rank will be forbidden to say his full name too.
But, the thing is, Brent only remember one thing that his mother once said to him. If there is a woman who first says his name, she will be his bride eternally in each life.
However, he still doesn't know what will actually happen to that someone if they were to say his name. In fact, he doesn't know that someone will be lost their life whenever they say his name. There were secrets hiding behind that curse.
