To say the air was thick with tention was putting it lightly. Iris walked with Bram without any fuss as promised. The two had a lot to go over and the whole mate thing. She didn't realize Wolfbloods could be mates with a Dragoon. 'Stop over thinking it he is a good male. He didn't leave our side once when you passed out. He will protect our cubs.' Rain said in her head making Iris look up at the dragon man. Once they reached the cottage Bram lead her in. "Sit down in the living room love. I will get some tea for us." He said motioning her to the large stuffed couches. Sitting down she couldn't believe how soft they were. If she wasn't careful she would fall asleep.
Bram pov
Fumbling around in the kitchen for the tea, my dragon won't stop babbling on about tasting her. 'Enough you rutty beast we need to talk about the pack and clan tasks.' I growl at my dragon he glares at me. 'She is our mate we need her don't fuck it up.' He growled before retreating to the back of my mind. Thank fuck now I can focus on my little wolf in the den. Walking out I spot her looking at the photos on my wall. "Thats my brother and his mate with my niece." I said making her jump. "I'm sorry you told me to sit down but I can't keep still." She said making me chuckle. "It's alright but please come sit so we can discuss your pack and my clan working together." I said gently motioning to the couch. She sat down taking the tea cup from my hand. "So tell me what happened for the DDA to get involved with your pack." I said not wanting to dance around the subject.
"Luka the young male wolfblood was out training with the hunters of my pack. They gave instructions on hunting one of them down. It was a simple lesson all young wolfbloods need. Well in the process of hunting one of my hunters down....The DDA spot him shifting into human form then back. Why the bloody fool did it is beyond me. The next day an inspector came and now we are here." She said before taking a sip of tea. "So the young lad you were growling at, I take was Luka then?" I asked and she nods. "I want him to help out with any physical task need be done. He was being a fool and was not being safe. Thats how we have avoided detection safe shifting. It can be a pain yes but in the long run the pack's safety is more important. He knows this fact and went against out ways. He needs to face his punishment."
She said annoyed by the lad's actions. "Well I will see what I can come up with. I understand your position in the matter. I can tell you don't want to but know you have to set an example. You kind has had a way of life unchanged for centuries. Then one daf teen boy messed it all up for everyone. Iris I want you to know your pack and yourself are safe here." I said the last part taking her hand in mine. "Forgive me Bram but that remains to be seen. My job as Alpha is to put my pack first. I know your my mate and I truly believe you will not hurt us. I just have a duty to my people." She said her eyes not leaving mine. "I understand your position love take all the time you need to scan the clan. You won't find any danger to your pack here." I said pulling her close. "As clan leader I need to do the same for my people." I said before bringing my lips to her ear.
"I especially need to provide the future for the clan." I said before licking her ear, the action made her shiver. 'Kiss her make her feel good.' My dragon yells in my head. "Iris my dragon is being unbearable. Is it ok if I kiss you just to shut the bloody beast up." I asked she smirks. "My wolf is doing the same." She said before my lips pressed against hers. The kiss was slow and sweet but my dragon wanted more.
Meanwhile in Locgaurd things were not so peaceful. Arrow, Alasdair,and a few Wolfbloods are outraged by the carelessness of the DDA. "Calm down the DDA are investigating skyhunter. I promise we will get some answers soon so please be patient." Fin said trying to calm the waring wolves on his land. He fears that if things don't get resolved soon, the wolves will take matters into their own hands.
