Iris helped build cottages for her pack over the course of a few weeks. The young female looked at the calendar handing on the wall by Bram's desk. "Tonight is a full moon." She said with enthusiasm and a uncontrollable bubbling of joy took over her. Bram came in with some coffee he looked tired.
"Lass it's early why are you a ball of energy?" His ruff voice deep with sleep reached her. She turned smiling at him explaining that the full moon does this to Wolfbloods. "So you get a burst of crack squirrel energy every full moon? My god have mercy on us all." He said taking a drink of coffee.
"Its not so bad no moon days we are like zombie. Our energy is drained and we feel sick. Our wolves go dormant for one day and night." She said praying to the moon mother, that he dose not use this against her. "Oh so for one day you are helpless good to know." Bram said with a wicked grin. She knew she was in for a long no moon day with him and his dragon.
"So lunch time everyone will gather in the great hall for a briefing on the shift in mood." Bram said walking over to his desk and sat down. She sat in his lap resting her head on his shoulder. He sighs and wrapped an arm around her. "Are the dragon allowed to watch the shift?" He asked making Iris life her head and look at him. "That's right you never see us shift before." She said with astonishment then feeling a bit bad. They have seen the dragons shift but never gave the same opportunity in return.
"I don't see why not dragons have shifted infront of us many times. Its only fair you get to see us shift. We don't need to be naked to shift. " she said making Bram roll his eyes. "Good for fucking you bloody wolf." He said annoyed by the information. Iris chuckles before kissing him. "Do you want me to strip to make you feel better?" She asked mischief dancing in her eyes. He growled "No male can see you that way. You are mine Iris Rossi you best remember that." He said tightening his grip. "Oh don't be grumpy I'm not going anywhere." She said before getting up. "I need to go and get things set up for the cubs, who haven't shifted received their wolf yet." She said making him a bit confused. "What do you need I can get someone to look after them. I know a few people with children who would be perfect." Bram said pulling out his phone. "If you can arrange something it would be appreciated." She said before leaving the room. Bram's eyes follow her till she was no longer in sight. 'At least she trusts us with the care of the young. It is a step in the right direction for sure.' His dragon said stretching in his mind. "Yes your right but we still have a ways to go." He said before starting the calls.
Iris pov
Walking to the main living area was quiet given it was still early morning. Knowing my pack however they are probably in the take off area ruff-housing. Low and behold I am right hearing the laughter of the wolves infront of me, it made my heart warm almost forgetting all that has happened. "Alpha Iris good morning." One of the small female cubs said running over to me. Then the other children followed. I smiled picking one of the children up. Spinning around making the child laugh and on looking dragons smile. "Alpha Iris can we ride as the big wolves run threw the groves and thickets?" A small male cub asked this made the other cubs beg. I look up at the adult wolves and a few of the teens. "What do you think have they been well behaved enough?" I asked making them chuckle. "Yeah we have honest." The boy said and I pat his head. "Alright but just one lap around the take off area." I said and the young ones cheer with delight. The dragons watch with curiosity. It felt good having the wind threw my fur and durt beneath my paws as we ran. The cubs scream and cheer having fun. 'Sister!' I heard Arrow yell in the mind link. The other wolves and I stop. 'Arrow?' I responded only to be met with visions of Arrow and Alasdair gathering Wolfbloods to take on skyhunter. 'No Alasdair Arrow stop this!' I growl and they growl back. 'THEY KILLED OUR MOTHER AND THE FORMER LUNA! THEY MUST BE RID OF NOW! THE HUMANS WON'T DO ANYTHING FOR US!' They both yell. 'You attack them and the DDA will never reunited us.' I said trying to reason with them. 'The alpha is right please reconsider this.' Luka came threw. 'Its your fault we are in this mess boy. You have no say in the dealings of the pack.' Arrow growls. 'Enough he is one of us Arrow so he does have a say. He is right we need to bide our time with the Skyhunter clan. We need to focus on getting back home the rest will fall into place.' I said hoping to break threw but instead, I was met with silence.
