"We will have a new student today in our class."
"Who is it teach?"
"Is he a handsome boy?
...or a cute girl, teach!"
"You children should mind your language in school...
Here he is, say hello to everyone and introduce yourself."
"Hello everyone! My name is Dasher. Nice to meet you all."
"Nice to meet you too, Dasher."
"You can go and sit on the last vacant seat. Your teacher is absent so your next class is free. Do your pending work."
Murmur.... 'Eww.. he's going to sit with that pig.
What a waste.
I think I should change my seats with him.
Hey I'm not gonna sit with that filth.'
"Hey, my name is Dasher. What's yours?"
A new student sitting next to me? He should probably change his seat. I don't want him to get involved with me. He'll be bullied because of me.
"..."
He took my notebook and read my name written on the front.
"Jane White. I see. Nice to meet you Jane." He held out his hand to handshake.
"Don't touch my stuff." I smacked his hand and took my notebook.
"I just wanted to know your name. I'm sorry I shouldn't have touched your stuff without your permission. I'm sorry but can we be friends?"
Friends... Don't give me that shit. Everyone's the same. The moment they'll fill his ears, he'll run away with his ass in his hands.
"No reply again? It's cold, you should close the window or you'll catch a cold. Let me help... Argh."
I don't have friends so I usually watch out of the window. It's the middle of winter. The cold winds are piercing but they are better than being all alone. He stood up and leaned over me to close the window. I know he had good intentions or he might be feeling cold but...
I didn't mean to do it. I'm sorry. I just got startled. I didn't mean to push him.
"Don't come close to me."
No.. no.. this is not what I want to say. No... They are all staring at me again. That look, it's filthy. No, I don't want to stay here. I need to go.
"Hey, Jane... J." A girl grabbed his shoulder to stop Dasher from running after me.
"You don't need to stop her. She acts weird all the time. She's just an attention seeker."
He shrugged her hand and looked a little raged up.
"What are you even saying. She's your... Nevermind."
- 30 minutes later -
"So you're here. I'm not familiar with this place it's like zig zag. It took me a while to find you."
After causing a ruckus in my classroom, I ran up to the terrace of our school. No one ever comes to this place so it's peaceful and there's no one to disturb or curse me.
"Why are you here?"
I had crouched down the floor of the terrace. The new student sat beside me but this time he was really careful. He sat at a distance and didn't touch me.
"Umm.. to get my classmate back to class."
"I pushed you."
"Umm.. so?"
"Don't you hate me? Or find me weird?"
-Pfft "Why would I? Anyways, I was in the wrong. I got ahead of myself and leaned over you.. T-TO CLOSE THE WINDOW. I'm sorry."
He shouted for no reason. It was clear he was a little embarassed. This is the first time someone doesn't find me weird.
"No, I'm the one who should apologise. You meant good but I pushed you and you fell. You didn't get hurt, did you?"
"Ah, no. It was just because I was not on my guard. Never knew a matchstick could push me so hard."
"Match-stick?"
-pfft "Nothing. Let's go back. It's time for next class already."
He got up and held his hand out with the intention to help me get up. I was sorry for what I did so raised my hand to take his help.
Unfortunately, my sweatshirt which I was wearing slipped as it's sleeves were big and he saw it!
The thing I had hidden perfectly from everyone was seen by him. Will he outcast me too? No... Why now?
