Chapter 51 - Don't dare stop me

Makenna couldn't contain his smile. He nodded in satisfaction as things had gone according to how he planned it.

"You stupid fool I should thank you for paving the way for my Siel family. But that might be in the afterlife."

As Makenna thought of the rewards he would obtain, his smile grew wider. Just thinking of the scornful situation the Gandor kingdom was in filled him with endless happiness. But that smile soon turned grim. A pair of dark green eyes cut through the dust cloud like a war god had awoken from his slumber. Makenna was well aware of just who had these eyes and it definitely wasn't the martial artist he sent out.

The dust lifted even more and an extremely shocking scene left everyone speechless. The one lying on the floor was not Nero but the martial artist from the Siel family! The Siel family martial artist lay face down on the ground as dark crimson blood flowed out from his mouth.

Nero's gaze was fixed on him and when he found out that he wasn't dead yet, he moved towards him. His steps weren't hurried but with every step, it filled everyone with a dreadful sense. His motive was clear, and that was to kill this person in front of him. Just when Nero was close enough to land a blow, the elder official suddenly appeared and stood in front of him.

"That's enough! The rules prohibit killing."

Nero coldly snorted and still made his way to his target.

"The rules prohibit killing? Where were you when he sent out that attack? Don't tell me that you couldn't tell that it was strong enough to kill someone with my cultivation. And yet you stand before me blabbering on about the rules? If you don't get out of my way I will have your head and his at the same time. Don't dare stop me!"

Nero's words didn't hide the provocation and killing intent. His aura surged like a raging tsunami that wanted to swallow all!

"You!"

The elder official was speechless when he heard Nero's threat. He might have been an official in this battle but he had Late-stage Divine Sea Realm cultivation. Since when was he threatened by a Late-stage Foundation Establishment Realm martial artist? He wanted to make a move but he suddenly got cold feet. This was his sixth sense, his survival instincts, and it only spoke two words to him… don't dare!

At this time, Nero didn't seem normal to the people any longer. They only saw a war god who had awoken from his millennium slumber!

Suddenly, a mind transmission message rang out in Nero's ear.

"Little brother Nero that is no good. The rules did say that killing is prohibited and if you go against this rule, it might cause us a lot of problems. That low-life bastard might even use this against us in the future. I agree that he tried to kill you and I also agree with your methods but for the sake of my Gandor kingdom stay your hand."

Seeing as things were about to get worse, Aito quickly transmitted a mind message to Nero.

Aito could move and stop Nero from committing a blunder, but even Aito could agree with Nero's intentions. Not that he feared that Nero might in any way overpower him, but even he had to think for the sake of the future of the Gandor kingdom. One had to know that Aito planned to win Nero over to their side and it wouldn't be helpful if he in any way angered Nero.

The power Nero displayed right now overwhelmed everybody. This wasn't a power that a Late-stage Foundation Establishment Realm martial artist should have. This surpassed the strength one could display at least at the Divine Sea Realm! No one dared to believe this fact but that wasn't the main issue here. The main issue here was that the Siel family's martial artist was defeated, and miserably and all it took was one casual punch from Nero!

Impossible!

Everyone judged the fatality of that attack and it wasn't what an average martial artist could directly come In contact with without having to pay a heavy price. However, not only did Nero shatter this attack with his bare fist but not even a scratch appeared anywhere on his body.

How could this be!?

This question ran into the minds of everyone at the arena. Even Aito had to gather his mind to what just happened. He looked at Amaya in disbelief and when he saw her nod her head, he was more shocked. There was a tendency that what she said was true! No one knew the might of the Black Dragon squad more than the Gandor kingdom. They had gone to countless battles against each other even after the Great War many hundred years ago and had experienced their power first hand. It was rumored that only the Gandor kingdom State Master and the Great Elder Aito could find the base of the Black Dragon squad… the Black Dragon mountain.

"That's okay!" Aito's voice echoed from the Gandor tower. After his mind transmission message, Aito shouted out loud seeming explosive. That was the only time Nero halted in his tracks. To every other person, it seemed like Aito's voice had caused Nero to halt, but it was only the two of them who knew what was involved. Nero's green eyes sized up everyone at the arena, and when they met those eyes, it caused a bone-chilling vibe to crawl up their spine.

Who was this?

This was the question everyone started to ask.

At the Keon kingdom tower, Hain looked at Nero with a complex look; something didn't feel right. He had brought a few martial artists from his kingdom to participate in this battle, but now he was contemplating if that was a good idea.

The power Nero display left a deep impression in the minds of these old Grand Cultivation masters. Although they could display an even more powerful ability, it was still a level of power that a Divine Sea Realm martial artist wouldn't dream of showcasing, much less a Late-stage Foundation Establishment Realm martial artist.
