Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 - It's gonna be okay?

Yasuo pov's on

We ran down the slope, desperate.

Syndra was at Riven's side all the time, making sure she was okay and could run on her own. Zed carried Vi in his arms, but he had passed the big metallic hands of the rose for me to hold.

Riven was close to Vi all the time, she was very nervous, to the point that she almost collapsed in tears and screams.

Vi was breathing slowly and heavily, his grunts of anguish and pain had become commonplace. She urgently needed to be taken to the healing center. The metal beams that pierced her did a great job of destroying her abdomen, but Vi was tough, she was going to survive this.

After we got close to the inn where we were staying, Syndra placed her hands on her knees and let out a heavy sigh. Riven leaned against a wall where he sighed, his eyes watering.

-Vi needs to be taken to the healing center. I don't have enough to treat you at the castle. -Syndra said as she returned to her posture.

-My body is still kind of locked after unloading. -Riven said as he opened and closed his hand several times, to see if he could do the least.

-How are we going to take her to the center? -Zed asked. -We can't be seen anytime soon, and they're not even armed.

-I'll take her. -Syndra spoke seriously.

-But go get her! -I spoke. -You can't risk that much Syndra! You are everything the monks want! -He said worried as he went near Riven.

-They'll just arrest me if I want that to happen. Otherwise, I'm the only one who can fully take care of Vi without getting caught. -She said in a calm tone. - Zed will return to the hiding place of the shadows and you will prepare your things in the cabin. Well, they are going to travel.

Zed nodded and Riven spoke.

-Travel? We cannot abandon everything now! -Riven said surprise in a sad tone of voice.

-Where will we go? -I asked.

-You're going to Piltover. -She said serious.

-I'll love having you in Piltover! -A squeaky voice said cheerful.

-I know that voice. -I spoke

We looked all around until the voice spoke again.

-Up here! -A white flower fell to the ground.

Everyone looked up and we saw a girl with long black hair hanging upside down from a window.

-Jinx? -Riven asked suspiciously.

-Myself! – She said as she released her legs from the window and fell awkwardly to the floor. -Did you miss them? -She said excited.

-What happened to your hair and clothes? -Zed asked this time.

-Vi said I needed to change my look, or that would bring problems. Not that I care, but I thought it was cool to change! -She said smiling.

-I liked the outfit. -Said Syndra.

The little one smiled and then said.

-Did you like the gift I sent to help you? -She said while jumping and clapping.

-Gift? -Zed asked again.

- The explosion for you to leave. -She pouted. -I thought they would realize it was me. I stole a Noxiano gas canister from somewhere, then I painted it and made a beautiful explosion. - His eyes shone when he said that. She did an imitation explosion with her hands.

-You. Okay… -Vi pronounced himself with difficulty. – Fucked. -She sighed heavily.

Jinx burst out laughing.

-You're screwed. Big Hand! -She showed her tongue to Vi.

-Hey, don't say anything! It's ok? Just rest. -Riven said worried as he approached her friend. -Thanks for the gift, Jinx. -Riven nodded as the youngest bounced after the compliment. -Hold on. -Riven made a caress in the hair of the rose, who gave a weak smile in response.

-We need to get Vi there, fast. She is losing a lot of blood. -Zed said.

-It's ok. -Syndra nodded. -Riven, I ordered the spheres to take your things and Yasuo to the cabin. I'll send you there and Zed to your house. Jinx and I will take Vi downtown. -After everything softened, you went to Piltover.

We nodded.

A fine rain was beginning to fall softly from the skies.

Zed carefully placed Vi on the ground. She struggled to remain conscious. Syndra created a sphere for Vi to lean on. She looped one of the rose's arms around her neck and asked.

-Is it steady? Can you handle it? – Vi just nodded.

I handed the gauntlets to Azulada, who was now brunette, she was holding them with difficulty.

-Good luck. -Zed said leaving a kiss on the forehead of Syndra.

-Everything will be fine. -She said smiling.

Riven went and hugged Vi, they pressed their foreheads together and the smaller one said something to both of them. Soon she and Syndra embraced.

- Take care of them for me, Jinx. -Riven smiled.

-It can leave! -She said with a wide smile while hitting an awkward salute.

The sparks soon appeared and they were transported to their destination.

Soon Zed's body began to be engulfed by the little purple sparks.

He quickly came to me and welcomed me into his bear hug.

-Don't die yet. -He said with a trembling voice. -I only have you and her, do not make me lose you too. – I hugged him back.

-You still have the other Zed. -Smile.

-Protect her, Yasuo. She is all the most precious you have. Don't miss it for bullshit-

And he left before I could say anything.

-Is everything okay, Yasuo? -Riven said worried.

-No. I'm just... worried. With all. -I shrugged.

Riven just nodded and then said.

-It's our turn to go.

She showed her small, delicate hands wrapped in the small electrical current.

We held our hands and went back to the place where it all started. Our cabin.

The place where I was determined to tell her everything. Why this is all happening to us.

It was time to put an end to it all.

After we felt our feet firmly on the ground, I pulled her into a hug. She pressed her hands against my clothes, and I stroked her hair.

We didn't say a single word.

We just feel our hearts and breaths.

Yasuo pov's of Riven pov's on

The spheres left us on the cabin porch. The rain was heavy now, and it looked like it was going to stay that way for a while. When I went to get our things, Yasuo pulled me into a hug.

It was everything I needed most.

I gripped her shirt tightly, and buried my face in her chest. He stroked my hair lightly.

When we parted, he pressed our foreheads and whispered.

-I love you. -He said calm.

I let a small smile escape my lips.

-Me too, Yasuo. -I spoke even lower.

After we parted, Yasuo headed towards the house and I gathered our things, leaving only our swords on the porch. I took everything to the bedroom, placed them on the bed and began to arrange them. Meanwhile, Yasuo was looking for something to make for lunch.

I changed my clothes and took them to the other side of the porch to dry.

After putting everything in its proper place, I took the hammock and went to the street.

I walked past Yasuo without saying anything, He was concentrating on cutting a few things on the counter.

The silence between us was excruciating, but I wasn't in the right mind to talk.

There were so many events involving Irelia and Vi's near death left me devastated, I was still groundless, I was still out of breath.

I put the net in its place. I sat as I stared at the heavy rain falling on the vast grass and rattling roof of the cabin.

Why was all this happening? We didn't do anything too much to deserve what happened. I deserved punishment for what I've done my whole life, but it wasn't fair that it came right at the point where I was starting again. And it wasn't fair that Vi and others got hurt because of that.

Tears were starting to run down my face.

I put my hands to my face and allowed myself to cry. As much as necessary.

I laid my body in the hammock and lay there, curled up, crying like a child.

-I'm sorry Vi. -I sobbed.

Little by little my eyes were burning, weighing on account of crying, and little by little, I was falling into a harrowing dream.

-------Time Break-------------

"I'm very proud of him."

"My boy."

"RIVEN!"

"The sword reflects its bearer."

I woke up in a jump, I was suffocated. Scared.

My face was cold and sweaty. I was dizzy, still somewhat bewildered after the dream, or nightmare.

Again those phrases, again that gentleman had come back and given me the same message. But this time, a scream in the midst of battle and a phrase Talon had told me many years ago.

Why have I been dreaming about this lately? This had never happened in two years, and why only now?

- It's all so confusing. -I spoke in a low tone as I put my feet on the damp porch floor.

I put a hand to my forehead, I was in a cold sweat.

The cold, wet wind from the rain made me wake up faster.

I was exhausted, my head wouldn't rest, my eyes were heavy.

I sighed heavily.

The old man's words came back to my head and my nostrils were filled with the sweet smell of green tea.

-Who's your boy, sir? How can I tell him that you're proud of him, if I don't even know who he is. -I spoke defeated.

Or do I know?

A light went on deep in my memories.

"I was accused of a crime I never committed"

The memory of Yasuo saying those words came sharply into my head.

-My God. -I spoke amazed. -It can not be.

I started to shiver and tear up

What did Yasuo do to be exiled was also a reason for Irelia's fury? Was the lord I had killed in that little hut Yasuo's father? Did Zed have something to do with something? Irelia's fury was also applied to Zed, but her focus was only on Yasuo.

Those thoughts came straight into my head.

I didn't know much about Yasuo's past, I just started to love his present. What if he did something other than the supposed death of the elder in the past?

Would I be able to forgive him?

Everyone makes mistakes, doesn't it? If Yasuo had done more than that, it was my duty to understand his motives, for I, above everyone else, had committed more sins and mistakes than I should have.

It was a whirlwind of questions that formed in my head, all of them without an answer.

I felt so bad for distrusting him.

I think these thoughts were influencing what we just went through. My head was full, my thoughts were out of place. I couldn't make hypotheses like that, it could create even more problems.

I needed to talk to him. Especially. I want him to know who I really am, and if he accepts me, after all I've done, I will stand by his side, no matter what.

Riven pov's of Syndra pov's on

The spheres left us in front of the great healing center, which was calmer than it should have been.

We quickly entered the large entrance doors and soon some people came to our rescue.

-She was injured during the fight that took place just now. -I spoke while helping to lay Vi on a bed with wheels

The people standing there nodded and then someone spoke as he put a mask on Vi's face.

-We'll take it there to our mages. Her condition is too critical for us to be able to do anything without magic. -A small girl with blond hair said as they were taking Vi to some doors.

I followed, running while holding the hem of my kimono.

When I went through one of the last doors, the same girl told me.

-You needed to stay here. It is not allowed the entry of other people in this place. -She said quickly.

-But I need to see how she goes. I promised to take care of her. -I spoke distressed.

-It's going to be all right, girl. Just go to the waiting room, we'll bring you more news soon.

-It's ok. -I spoke low as I watched the girl walk away through the small glass of the door.

I straightened my clothes and walked slowly back to where Jinx should have been.

-She's fine, right? -Jinx said with a forced smile, which shook with his hands. -Not that I'm worried. I just have to warn Caitlyn about her. -She said while trying to hold back the cry.

-Caitlyn? -I asked as I sat beside her.

- It's Vi's wife. -She said innocently. -Did not you know? -She said while settling in the chair.

-No. Don't expect her to be married. -I said smiling.

- It's been four years now. -Jinx said as he swung his thin little legs.

She was restless, but she was trying not to cry.

-Well! I'm taking things to Caitlyn, I need to talk to her before she finds out for herself. -Jinx said while letting a part of the gauntlets fall to the ground.

I helped her grab the big metal hands as she dashed out the front door.

A little purple-skinned Yordle approached me and said with a wide smile.

-You can't stay here. -She said happy. -If you're expecting someone, I ask you to accompany me. The living room is on the other side. -She spoke fast while making awkward gestures with her hands and the clipboard she was holding.

I got up and followed the excited little ball.

She opened the door with difficulty and then said.

-Feel free. Soon we will bring news of the person who is waiting. -She said while taking a pen from her pocket. –What is the patient's name? -She said with wide eyes.

-Saw. She's from Piltover–I spoke as I bent down to talk to her better.

-Saw? From Victoria? -She asked quickly.

-I do not know. I just know your name is Vi. - I thought. -Soon your wife will come here, then she will give all the information. – I spoke while looking at the small file.

-Oh! He is well! - She said. -And what's your name? -She asked smiling. -I need to know to call her when we have news about the patient's condition.

I swallowed hard. But I needed it, didn't I?

- My name is Syndra. - The little Yordle quickly noted and then said.

-What a pretty name, lady. -She put the pen and then said. –In some time I will come to update the patient's situation. You can calm down, she'll be brand new when she leaves here. -She said while hugging the clipboard.

-Thanks. -I said smiling as I stood up.

-You can have coffee, tea. Read a book or magazine. We have several things to make your wait pleasant. -She said while pointing to things. - The center is crazy, the other waiting room is all screaming, that's why I brought you here. She blew out a breath. -The condition of the other patient who came in is very critical. We're going to have a lot of work for today. -She flipped through the small clipboard again. -Well, until later. -She closed the door again with difficulty.

There was just me and a boy in the room.

-Hey? -I spoke fearfully.

He just shook it at me.

I sat down near a counter where I had some magazines. I looked at them and found nothing interesting. I sat swinging my legs.

On the table in front of the door was a clock. There they marked 9:00 on the dot.

I walked back into the room, looked at the shelf of books and most of them I had already read while I was in the castle.

I sat down again. I stood there swinging my legs.

I looked at the clock after a while. It marked 9:45 this time.

How long...

I walked to the drinks table and read it on a large machine. "Coffee"

There were a few buttons, and each one had some sort of thing written on the side.

I hit the number five button. Hot chocolate.

After squeezing it, the machine shook and made a loud noise.

I jumped back and screamed.

I curled my hands up and watched what the machine was doing.

I felt a slight tug on my clothes.

-Lady, you need to put the cup. -The little boy said as he reached me a small cup of soft material. -Put it here. -He said while pointing to the place where I should put the cup.

I carefully placed the small white container, and soon a hot liquid began to pour into it. I smiled as I felt that sweet smell invade my nostrils.

-Do you want one? -I asked as I took my cup.

He nodded and then handed me another glass.

I pressed the same button and soon got scared again.

The boy chuckled and then said.

-You don't need to be scared young lady. It's normal. -He said as he took his cup.

After he got his glass we sat side by side.

-Who are you waiting here? -I asked.

-My father. He came to do some tests. Doctors said he was sick. So he always has to take exams to see if he's getting better. -He spoke while drinking the hot chocolate. -And you girl? Who is waiting? Your boyfriend? -She spoke while her beautiful little brown eyes sparkled.

I laughed.

-I'm not expecting my boyfriend. He's home now. I'm waiting for a friend who got hurt. -I spoke while taking the creamy liquid slowly.

-Did she get hurt really bad? -He asked worried.

-Sadly yes. -I said looking at my glass.

We were in silence for a while.

-Don't worry, girl. She will be fine. -He said smiling.

Soon, the little girl from before opened the door.

-Your father is waiting for you, Vlad. - The girl said smiling.

-Is he okay then, Aunt Lu? -He asked excited.

-Yes, it is. Come on, let's see him! -She spoke while stretching her hand to the boy.

He ran to her and said as he was walking out the door.

-Bye girl! Your friend will look just like my dad! -He said while waving.

And then the door closed again.

The silence was torturing me.

But he didn't take long, soon some desperate screams ripped through the silence of the room.

-SAW! -A voice screamed in tears.

The screams got closer and closer.

Sounds of feet tapping heavily against the floor were heard more and more clearly.

Suddenly, long brown hair appeared in front of the glass of the room where he was.

A woman who was clearly desperate was looking from side to side, her blue eyes red from crying.

-GIRL!

The brunette barely listened and soon returned to running.

I just saw a big purple bun run after the woman.

-Is she Vi's wife? -I asked as I got up from the chair.

Soon, I saw Jinx come after the two of them.

She walked awkwardly, held both hands tightly and could see some stubborn tears running down her face. She quickly cleaned them.

-Look, you take care of your friend. Fine? -The voice of little Yordle sounded angry in a cute way. -It is not allowed shouting and any other type of scandal in this room. If you are going to do it, do it in the street or in the waiting room. -She said as she opened the door for Jinx. -Hold her here. -She delivered a small purple squirrel to Jinx.

Jinx held the small furry ball in surprise.

-Our professionals need silence to work, and our patients need even more silence for their recovery. -She raged. -Soon your friend will return to normal, and I do not want to hear more screaming in the hallways. -She said while slamming the door.

Jinx was static looking at the animal in her hands.

-What happened to her? -I asked and finally Jinx noticed I was there.

-She turned Cait into a pet. -She said while poking Cait's tummy.

Suddenly, the furry ball bit Jinx's finger and the smaller one threw him to the ground.

-What the hell was that, Cait!? -She said while squeezing her finger.

A small purple explosion made the beautiful woman reappear.

She was in a black blouse and jeans, wearing a long purple jacket.

-What the fuck was that? -She said while standing up with difficulty. -I'm going to kill that dwarf. -She snarled as she headed towards the door.

-Or or or! You can stop there. -Jinx said as he stood in front of the door. -You don't even think about leaving, or I'll break your face.

-Get out of the way Jinx! -Caitlyn growled.

-I do not go out! -Jinx and she were with the faces close.

-I'm ordering, Jinx! Get out of the way. -Caitlyn said hoarsely.

-I will not leave. Get angry as much as you want. You know you won't beat me. -Jinx laughed.

-This is not about winning or losing, girl! It's Vi's life at stake.

- SHE IS FINE YOU IDIOT! DO YOU THINK IT'S JUST YOU WHO WORRIES ABOUT HER? -Jinx said as her voice wavered, she was about to cry again.

I went back to the drinks table and looked for some tea for both of them.

I prepared them and then asked.

-Do you want it with sugar? - The two looked surprised.

Jinx quickly nodded yes.

I took a glass to Caitlyn.

-I think it's better to drink the tea straight. It will do you good. - I handed the container in your hand.

She held it up and looked at me in awe.

-Come. -I held her shoulders and took her towards the bank. -Try to calm down. Everything will be fine with her. I'm also waiting to hear from her. -I said smiling as I bent down to talk to her. -I'm Syndra. Is that you? -I asked for politeness.

-Caitlyn. Wife of Vi. -She said while taking a long sip of tea. -How do you know her? -She asked while wiping her eyes.

I got up and said.

-I'm Riven's friend. We met last night. -I spoke while I was going to sweeten Jinx's tea. -Here it is. -I took the now impatient brunette. -There are some magazines there. You can tear them up if you want. -Jinx took the cup and ran to sit in front of the magazine table.

-Don't give me ideas. -Caitlyn said wrinkling her nose.

-It'll help keep her busy. -I sat beside her. -You can cry if you want. -I spoke while holding his hands. -She's strong, she won't fall for something like that.

Caitlyn just smiled back.

We were silent.

Just hearing the noise of pages being ripped and crumpled.

--------- About two hours later. -----------

Caitlyn had dozed off in her chair, while Jinx was sitting facing the corner of the room, amidst the pile of paper balls she had made out of all the magazines.

I hadn't been able to sleep or eat, I was just there, waiting while I thought of a thousand things.

For another long period of time silence reigned, until finally the door was opened.

Little purple yordle had finally appeared, and this time with news.

-Sandra? -She asked while smiling at me.

I was surprised, but soon she gave me a wink.

She knows who I am. Thanks girl.

-It's me. -I spoke while I went to her.

Caitlyn had awakened and Jinx was looking curiously from the corner of the room.

-She is fine. -The yordle smiled after letting out a sigh.

-Fortunately. -I spoke relieved.

Caitlyn noticed and soon came to us.

-Is it about her? -She spoke desperately. -How is she? Caitlyn spoke with tears in her eyes.

-Calm down. – The girl said. -She's fine, is stable. It's already in the bedroom. But he will be under observation for the next three days. We will see how your body will react to the effect of the cures used. She's still sleeping, so I need to know who's going to be escorting.

-Me! -Caitlyn spoke quickly. -I'll stay with her. I'm responsible. -She said nervous.

-Oh great. When you can, sign the paperwork at the front desk. -She said while taking notes on the clipboard. -By the way, my name is Lulu. So when you need to, just call me.

-When are we going to see her? -Jinx said afraid.

-Now. But only the escort will enter. It's ok? -She said smiling. - Come on, let's go.

Caitlyn and Jinx dashed out the door.

-ROOM 302! -Lulu yelled and then put her hands over her mouth. berating himself

-Thanks for everything. -I spoke.

-You're welcome. Sandra. -She laughed and winked at me.

I laughed and went after them both.

I had to run a bit to get closer to the two.

They ran desperately up the stairs. They were so messed up that I had completely lost sight of them.

I walked slowly and calmly looking at the signs that indicated which way to go.

I reached the patient wing and soon saw Caitlyn and Jinx slapping each other to see which one would go in first.

And in the end, both entered.

I got in front of the glass windows and watched them.

Caitlyn cried beside Vi's bed as Jinx hugged her sister's sleepy body.

Vi looked fine, his body was bandaged, but he was well cared for.

-That'll make Riven great. -Smile.

I'll be back to see how Vi is at another time, I'll wait for her to wake up.

I walked back through the long corridors of the Center.

I went downstairs to the first floor, most things were the same, the hallways were identical. I was already getting lost.

I took a few more turns and soon found a sign with it written on. "Waiting room."

I headed towards what the signs indicated.

I took a longer ride than expected.

Was I in the right direction?

I walked a little more and soon saw a room identical to mine, but on a different side.

It was the other waiting room.

Was this the room where Akali's relatives were supposed to be? Is this the room where Irelia is?

I quickened my pace and soon saw that there was a doctor at the door.

I sneaked past him and could hear the next sentence.

-Your son did not resist Shen. My condolences.

A loud scream was heard, I couldn't help but remain static behind the doctor.

Was Akali pregnant?

-BECAUSE? -Shen shouted kneeling on the floor.

Everyone else in the room started to cry.

I walked quickly back to the door.

Don't notice me. Don't notice me. Don't notice me.

-Hey you! -Shen's voice was choked with anger and pain.

"Look at the shit." -I thought.

I started running through the corridors, until I finally found the exit.

I flew low past reception and my spheres took me home as soon as I got my feet out of the room.

Syndra Pov's of Irelia pov's on

Screams and more screams were coming from the large council room.

-Your attitudes bring us only dishonor and disgrace Irelia. Where is the great General that everyone loved?

The elders screamed and complained, while I sat, anguished, nervous.

Feeling guilty, feeling like a... monster.

Did I kill my best friend?

The last person I had.

-There is only one person who can bring about this madness of Irelia. -One said.

A loud rumble was heard.

-It's a good thing I had already summoned his presence. -Says the Great Elder.

He?

Who was he?

It couldn't be him the elders were talking about.

Could not.

COULD NOT!

I gritted my teeth.

I had to listen to all that clowning around with my mouth shut. What the hell.

I'm still going to kill them, every one of them.

I smiled as I looked at their desperate looks like they didn't know what they were going to do to me.

Suddenly, a crash was heard from the great hall door.

A male silhouette entered the room.

That way, that look.

IMPOSSIBLE!

-WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? -I asked while slamming my hands on the table and spitting on the floor.

- He missed you. Irelia? -He said with a mocking look. -Looks like you didn't read the letter I sent. - He laughed cynically.

I advanced towards him, I was going to hang that bastard.

In one quick move, he stopped my charge, folding my arms back and slamming my chin on the old table.

I grunted in pain.

He brought his face close to mine and said in my ear.

-Calm down Irelia. We still have a lot to resolve. Is not it? Little sister. - He said hoarsely.

A hoarse laugh was heard

And then the hall fell into complete silence.
