"This... Is bad..." With Viceroy's arrival to the area, he found himself in the middle of the battlefield where two armies were about to clash and were in standby. "I didn't think their battles would be this frequent from what I heard." He looked towards both sides, as one side had a radiant orange color, while the other side had an elegant purple hue. He judged the armors to be of high quality, which meant that the enemies will be troublesome. Aside from the trouble of being in between two opposing armies, he wondered about the hero. "Now, if there's two armies fighting within each other, what does the hero do?" He knew that he couldn't run towards any side. As one army would think that he's from the other group. He couldn't divulge his status as a Sentinel either, as that would likely cause trouble as he thought it would. "I could stop both armies from advancing but..." He opened his phone to take a look at the tools that he has that he could make use of. "Still, dying for the sake of the government's rivalry is pretty bullshit. We may need the armies here for fending against the future invasions anyway so I have to stop both sides." While pondering about such things, he came across one item while scrolling down.
"Drax's Crystal Amplifier... I could create a solid wall with this..." He thought about the possibilities and ended with becoming a mysterious figure instead for the time being. He brought out the item and immediately created a ten meters tall wall of diamond crystals that extended all the way to the borders. It exhausted his magic, but he quickly recovered it through a [Sustainability Deluxe] potion made from the Preeliance. It was a new product by Remuel's group, basically allowing anybody to constantly cast magic with ten times efficiency. Highly experienced magicians do not require such potions, as they could maximize their use of magic. But they would still use it if they are having mana sustainability problems.
"Now with that done..." Viceroy had himself stuck between two crystal walls. He opened another portal with the compass guiding towards the Solarian group.
He ended up outside a city this time. Feeling relieved that he's no longer in between a warzone, he walked towards the city.
"Identification? Wait, you're not a Solarian! You must be a spy from the Lunarians!" The city guards quickly prepared their spears and stopped Viceroy from even entering the Solarian city. "Wha...?" "We'll be detaining you for questioning. You have the right to remain silent." Viceroy simply narrowed his eyes as he thought: "Detaining...? This action sounds more like elimination of a foreign spy right...? Solarians seem to be this troublesome. But I can't have myself detained here, specially on unknown territory where I do not know their technology." He knew that he could run, but he would be giving up a chance on valuable information and fail the mission. Failing the mission would mean losing a chance to create an alliance with the country itself, causing this country to fall once the grand invasions start. "Sorry but, I can't get caught up in here because of your assuming brains." He brought out the tool and encased both guards in crystals. Giving no time for the guards to evacuate, he slipped into the city through the front gate.
He used another tool to give him the main features of a Solarian. This will make it easier for him to interact with Solarians as he started to listen and activate a sound recording tool.
Listening to the bustling marketplace while concentrating on which person is saying which. He quickly learned and recorded the cultures, and found out that a festival is going to be held in the Solarian capital city, to which they unveil a new weapon. "A new weapon huh...? And to think these people wish to end the Lunarians sounds pretty troublesome... While getting them to extinction is impossible as we have migrations, destroying their home city would be pretty bad. For now, I should get the recording to my phone and send it to the discord channel." Viceroy quickly finished his first work in line. He didn't need to do any editing as he knew how most of them could easily get information from crowds by listening, but it would definitely be called as lazy work. Before long he received a reply, Draxus had sent a message to the channel thanking him for the gathering of information, intending to relay it to the highest rankings only group.
"Now that the first part of the investigation is done, I have to search for the royals..." Viceroy stood up and immediately moved to leave the city after asking for directions to the capital. He wasn't in a rush, so he decided to take a caravan ride while remaining disguised. He talked to the locals about the cities and why the countries are in a state of war between the rivals.
"You've probably been living under a rock eh? But I can't blame ya, your parents definitely cared for you if they didn't tell you about that." Viceroy could only laugh, as he knew that wars were pretty detrimental to their lives. "But then, a new weapon huh...? I guess I could check it out." "Heh, I heard it was massive, capable of absorbing energies and blasting it as a both a powerful cannon and a piercing ray of light. But the government is very particular though. If a person doesn't have the distinctive features of Solarians here, they would be pushed away by the guards. I get that they're wary but damn..." "I guess they were paranoid about enemies being able to get in as tourists from different countries." "Yeah, it's something like that which is why we stopped gaining customers from other countries." "No wonder..." Viceroy continued to collect information about the country as he secretly recorded everything in his phone.
In two days, he managed to arrive to the capital city of the Solarians, where his caravan but himself was allowed to enter the city despite his disguise.
