Another year had passed as Audrey continued her mundane, but proficient training everyday. She took a few months to master each weapon to the point where she can now perform very well with each one. This ranged from swords, battle axe and a shield, guns, and one more weapon that she hasn't fully mastered yet.
"This isn't enough..." Audrey knew that just mastering weapons isn't enough to win against Draxus even once. "Is something wrong Audrey?" Her trainer, who is currently teaching her the art of snake swords which are the same as regular swords, but with a much more complicated technique. "Nothing much, but I know that this is not enough to even reach my leader." "Is your leader that powerful?" Audrey nodded to her trainer's question. "Out of the three members that are higher rank than me, he's the one with the best defensive capabilities just by himself. To penetrate his defenses, there needs to be unparalleled speed in a surprise element, with enough power to back it up. Keith has the surprise element and speed with his time-stopping abilities, while Wesley has the power to back it up. But for those below the rank of Archon, it was still impossible for anybody to penetrate his defense alone." The trainer pondered in his head for a while. He understood that multiple members of the high elite who have the highest battle experience training have been training Audrey.
Audrey knew exactly the tactics Draxus had when it comes to combat. There was nobody that could ever parallel him when it comes to processing the situation and making the perfect counter to it in the spot. Thus she must use something that would make Draxus falter in processing the situation. This is why she decided to master various weapons, in the middle of training, specially when alone, she uses magic to constantly make use of enhanced weapons made to break defenses. "Draxus normally uses ice, so it's best to fight his ice with fire magic to destroy his barrier." "You're first name basis with your leader? That's a surprise." The trainer was able to listen in to Audrey's muttering. "Ah yeah, we're from a different world and all so formality doesn't really exist. Besides, he's like the older brother and leader of the entire group. Though he currently has like, six fiancés already so I no longer have to worry about him." "That so, what about you?" After Audrey was asked that question, she figured that something was about to happen. "Forget about me, I still need to think about dealing with the offensive attacks by Draxus." Audrey quickly shifted the subject to looking for a great counter. "Right, do you have any idea about his attacks?" "Yes, I'm technically his direct disciple of concept and theory magic. He fights with two swords, he stopped using his multi-weapon mastery because it has been underwhelming. This rendered some tarot cards being unusable. There will be changes in his tarot cards eventually, and I will have no knowledge when it comes to it. But what I do know is that, he can only use certain magic." Audrey began listing the magic that Draxus is highly proficient on.
"Destroyer, Time, Dimension, Concept, and Theory magic are his craziest ones. He could seriously create a fabricated empty world for rampant magic to be sealed. Time and Dimension are highly dangerous, specially now that he has come to terms with that. I can barely cancel the abilities of his Destroyer, but it would leave me in a bad state if I continued to sustain it." "He's that powerful huh...?" "That's not all, he has fully master Ice and Lightning magic completely. His attacks with them are completely relentless. Ice magic could come from any angle possible while lightning magic can spread around from his position, or rain down from the sky." "So he's more of a magician?" "Incorrect, he doesn't just fight with magic, he makes his targets focus on magic while his swords connect without resistance." "So you're saying that you need to find a countermeasure against that. I don't think I can help with that... But, dealing with multiple angles at once, is something we can help as your trainers." "Good idea, let us start this by tomorrow then." Audrey quickly finished the training and urged the trainer to go ahead. "It is stated in their rules that they can't just bring humans that are unworthy to become part of the Fae Realm. But that doesn't change the fact that I will allow them to tie me down here." Audrey went to the gateway and exit the Fae Realm for a while. She called Jay and brought him into the realm this time.
"What's wrong? For you to bring me here?" "It's all beautiful right? This is the Fae Realm that I talked to you about." "Yeah, it certainly is beautiful on first sight." Audrey ignored Jay's question and brought him around to look for the time being. "The time here is different back in the outside realm right? About fifty seconds here is just one second out there. But is it okay for me to stay here for a while?" Jay was slightly surprised to Audrey's changes in her appearance. She grew taller and grew more mature in her time here. They were now close to being equal in height and Jay was able to adapt to the new Audrey immediately. "Of course you can, how long can you stay though?" "I only have about two weeks left. I can stay for one week in here if you'd like?" "That would be great, I'll introduce you to everybody." Audrey smiled due to Jay's company, she knew that everything will be alright considering that her power has greatly improved ever since she stayed in the Fae Realm. This also added up that her loneliness was starting to catch up, thus she quickly went for Jay.
Two figures appeared from the other side of the gate, they witnessed the couple entering the gate and made a sinister smile. "Lord Kenós, that's a gate to the other realm isn't it." One of the figures, who is a half-human and half-spirit, spoke up to a dark figure. "Yes, it's quite fortunate for us to locate this realm gateway. Considering the location, this must be the Fae Realm. Let us return here next week for our preparations, and we can destroy their realm from the inside." "Very well." The two figures disappeared into the shadows of the trees, merging with the complete darkness of the atmosphere.
