On the early days of April, Serkyrio was working on his documents before the week enters the weekends. While working on the paperwork approvals, Jess came in with a report.
"The arena has been prepared and booked for the testing battle between you and Arlesk in divine form." Serkyrio glanced over to Jess as he heard the report. "Very well, I'll relieve you secretaries of your schedules for the day and rest. You girls already have done enough since working up negotiations after the letter of alliance to Polytopia." Serkyrio looked over to the girls working as his secretaries. "Mhm, Britney really worked hard talking to those commissioners. But was it really okay sending Draxus as guard?" Serkyrio nodded to Jess's question and began to explain his reasons. "He's free. Remuel's group is working on the [Time Machine] so we can begin dealing with the lost history of this world. Remember that the national treasure of each country here went missing. Some artifacts were stolen by the council of the skies so that they can begin operating their floating continent once more. But we should leave it to them for now, Arlesk is to prepare himself for the duel, the Princess of Luventrion is paying a visit and Arlesk is touring her in return for her giving him a tour back there. I'd say they're somewhat close." Jess immediately let out an interested voice as she noticed Arlesk earlier looking somewhat excited as well. "Ho? So Arlesk's harem is expanding as well? I've heard that Wendy recently made her move towards Draxus. But this is the first time I heard Arlesk was officially getting a harem." The two of them laughed lightly on the love affairs of their friends.
Later on, the arena was instantly booked completely with people. It reached to a level that it became a commotion of auctioning tickets instead of buying it first come first serve. Since it was the big arena that even supported divinity, the people were really ready to watch an insane battle despite it being nothing but a test in reality. Draxus was seated on the VIP zone surrounded by his girls. "So it's Draxus arena rules this time? This is gonna be fast and crazy." Serkyrio let out a comment as he faced Arlesk who was already in his [Cybernetic Armor]. "Yo Serkyrio, sorry but to fully test the capabilities, I'll have to use it right this instant." Instead of sighing, Serkyrio grinned as he didn't feel the slightest bit disappointed. "Sure, then I guess I'll have to get creative immediately."
Remuel took charge as the referee and explained the rules of the duel. "With Draxus in the control seat, this arena will change randomly within the battle. Expect changes in the battlefield including additional covers and potentially slippery ground later. Use the environment and atmosphere of the arena to your advantage. The duel ends when one person is unconscious or becomes unable to battle. Begin on my mark." Remuel began a countdown which signals the beginning of the duel. Serkyrio didn't hesitate and immediately brought out his three-sectioned staff and multiple halos behind him with various gems attached. Remuel noticed the halo and immediately understood what is about to happen. "Zero!"
Arlesk changed the right arm into a blade and quickly charged in to attack Serkyrio with a pre-emptive strike. Serkyrio casually blocked the attack by twisting the blade and activating his halo to strike back. Multiple colored lasers immediately strike down Arlesk in his position which made him transform his blade back into a gauntlet and distanced himself. After distancing, he brought up his absorber and noticed that the laser attacks ended after he distanced himself. "[Prehnite] huh...? So you can read my every move despite using divinity." After Arlesk identified the reason why he was unable to absorb anything was because Serkyrio had all three hundred gemstones active. "Yes, all gemstones are currently active and I can use them all at any time. Though the core of the halo is still dormant though." Serkyrio then moved in to attack with his three-sectioned staff which made Arlesk make desperate measures of dodging and blocking. But every time he blocks, he will be assaulted by lasers before he could even put up his absorber. Just as the two of them distanced each other once again, the first event finally began.
Ice pillars rose up and created a giant open maze. Knowing that Arlesk can absorb the mana of the ice pillars, Serkyrio proceeded to charge towards Arlesk and shatter all ice pillars in the way. After shattering many in a short time, Arlesk made an attempt to block his charge but one of the gemstones began glowing. "[Chrysoberyl]." Wind accumulated within the entire arena and the ice shards that were from the shattered pillars began flying towards Arlesk. Serkyrio flew up to avoid the shards and activated the [Onyx] gem. "[Stop]." Just as Arlesk was about to activate his absorber, he ended up flinching as [Silent Command] was suddenly used against him. But noticing that it only ended in a flinch, he converted a part behind him into a pair of crow's wings and flew up while creating a net to absorb the magic. "[Change to Solar Fusion]!" Arlesk quickly changed the weapon arm into a wide-cannon that's meant to blast around the area. With the mana of the ice shards, he managed to quickly create a small blast that is powerful enough to wipe the arena out.
Serkyrio managed to protect himself with the [Jade] that he managed to barely activate in time. However, it wasn't enough despite having created fifty layers this time. All layers of barriers were broken in an instant and Serkyrio sustained minor injuries from the explosion. With an open arena once more, Arlesk finally got his chance to begin his main line attack of light spamming. "[Opening Flourish]!" Stars and lasers start to fly through the arena which made Serkyrio begin his dodging. But seeing as there is no opening when Arlesk is assisted by his cyber-divinity, Serkyrio had no choice but to activate something. "You did great Arlesk, but it's about time I get really serious. "[Outer Halo] [Full Activation], [Meteorite]!" Serkyrio activated the outmost layer of his array of gemstones which contained about one hundred twenty five gemstones to simply take effect of a single combined halo.
"Now, let's see how you fight."
