A day after the meeting, Serkyrio woke up a little too early for his liking. But he decided to wake up from his sleep to make immediate preparations for the mission.
"Weather's good, humidity's good, atmosphere is seemingly good... Alright." Serkyrio stood up and changed his clothes to officially begin his preparations. He went around to look for various members that will be joining him. The selected members from the meeting will be going alongside the archons and himself. The archons will only be there to introduce themselves.
After finishing his equipment check, Serkyrio went to the balcony to meditate as the sun began to rise. He felt the changes between the energy of night and day as both cycles tend to shift towards the radiant power of heat and light. "It's a little unfortunate that the day and night cycle also has an influence on magic..." Serkyrio had heard Remuel's report of the day and night cycle influence. The cycle was about certain elemental magic being much more potent or active during certain cycles. It was divided into four sections. [Daybreak], [Nighttime], [Dawn], and [Dusk]. [Dawn] and [Dusk] are equilibriums which equalize both influences within the cycle. During [Daybreak] elements such as fire, light, and holy energies are greatly enhanced. While during [Nighttime], elements like ice, darkness, and demon energies are empowered. As he recalled that report coming from Remuel, Serkyrio felt that Draxus might've been placed in a major disadvantage during their battle.
"Well, can't be helped if that's the case. Draxus still won though..." After meditating all the way to the end of dawn, he stood up once again and moved to the common quarters.
"Ya Serkyrio." Draxus was already in a different balcony along with Remuel and Arlesk. The three of them were simply waiting for Serkyrio to arrive as they poured him some tea. "Took you a bit eh? Well we're also getting ready ourselves." Draxus sat down after pouring the tea on Serkyrio's cup. Each archon had already dressed appropriately for the upcoming occasion. They had already arranged for a letter to be sent towards the mercantile country of Polytopia. When they heard the name of the country, all four of them choked in sync as they were instantly reminded of something. "The Mercantile country of Polytopia huh? Speaking of that civ game, we should play that again soon enough, let me see if you guys can win again." The three archons, reminded of the game itself were immediately dejected.
Later on the day, the four of them went on separate ways to finalize their preparations for the mission. The archons only had light equipment as the rest of their gear are inside their [Interdimensional Storage]. They only focused on their appearance as they had assistance to various things such as makeup coming from their fiancés. Serkyrio was excluded as he already knew how to do it. That knowledge shook the archons as the knowledge difference between them and the emperor was too vast.
After lunch, they had officially handed over their tasks to their secretaries and had gathered the members that will be joining in the mission. Remuel didn't need to send anybody from the research team, but he was considering of preparing his own order. The members joining them were Collin and Jaquinn from the scout team, Gilbert and Justin coming from the Crystallized Sentinels, and then the recently appointed two elite knights coming from Brilliant Guardians. The two were named as Alexander Charst and Marlon Justicar. Both had proper appearances as they were transferred from Richard's knight order to Arlesk's Brilliant Guardians. Alexander had blond hair, a tall stature, and night colored eyes, while Marlon looked more of a seasoned warrior as he had a scar crossing through the eyelids, along with brown hair and a serious expression. Both of them stood in attention as they were currently in front of the archons and the emperors.
"Greetings, as for today, you will be assigned under my direct command for this mission only. I expect proper behavior, and for all commands to be followed without any issues. Understand?" Serkyrio faced the six members as they quickly responded in a positive manner.
All members in the main hall moved outside of the castle. Since it was a necessity to use a carriage for situations like visiting a country for official matters, they had to move towards the readied royal carriages. Those of which no longer needed a horse due to Draxus becoming a nerd out of magic engines. "Drax, you drive. You're the only one who has actual experience here." Serkyrio immediately gave Draxus a task of driving the carriage which made him let out a confused sound. "Eh?" Serkyrio crossed his arms and explained further for him. "I'm visiting as the Emperor of Preeliance, it would be bad news if I'm seen driving for my attendants." Draxus immediately understood the meaning of Serkyrio driving the carriage, thus taking the liberty easily. Each member quickly greeted their friends and loved ones before setting off to the journey.
Harold opened up the portal towards just outside the border of Polytopia. With that, the group had prepared themselves for the mission to save a country from a destructive invasion.
Draxus, who was driving the carriage, quickly advanced towards the border guards of the country. As he detected them raising a hand to stop the carriage, he efficiently stopped it right in front of the gate.
"Unknown carriage, may I know the reason for your entry?" Draxus revealed himself from the driver's seat and signaled the guards to be at ease. "There should be a message coming from [Tranquil Harmony], but seeing as it's only been a day, I guess it hasn't reached the border yet. Regardless, I am Draxus Heimdal Kingfisher, Archon of Preeliance. I'm simply serving as one of the attendants for the visit towards the capital of this country." The guards widened their eyes as they seemed to have heard of Draxus Heimdal before. They quickly cleared up the path and allowed the group to enter the country.
"Good job Drax." Serkyrio's voice came out from inside the carriage. "We should stay here for a short break to do noble obligations. So find a good parking spot alright?" With further instructions given, Draxus drove around to find a parking space for their carriage.
"Phew..." Draxus loosened up as he drank a bottle of water coming from his [Interdimensional Storage]. He was assigned to keep an eye on the carriage for the time being just to ensure nobody can get too close. The carriage itself is designed nicely and suitable for royalty to sit in, so it stood out quite well as they are in a foreign country. The thought of the carriage getting destroyed isn't as simple since the development of Draxus had poured into it made it nearly indestructible. But he wanted to keep an eye on it because he didn't want the items he made get stolen.
