Later on the day, the group had already finished adventuring. Nothing very bad happened within them as Draxus held leadership over them pretty well. Matilda took his instructions and Wendy did her part properly. Though her group may say that they could just leave it to Draxus and Matilda, it was mostly the guys who were salty due to him having multiple girls. The couple was able to handle most of the difficult things for them which got the female group grateful while the male camp a bit more salty as time goes on.
After the adventuring part the group had returned to the inn where Wendy's group stayed. Draxus had quite a favorable impression as he hides some things that he had already forgotten a long time ago. "Say Wendy..." The girl in question twitched in reaction as Draxus had suddenly called her. "Is something wrong?" When she turned around, she saw Draxus standing right next to her while sipping his tea. She immediately shook her head sideways to tell him that nothing was bothering her. Wendy then looked around and noticed that the her friends are talking to Matilda, but she ended up staring at the girl who was engaged as one of Draxus' fiancés. "What do you think of this world?" With a sudden question coming from him, Wendy looked down and started thinking. "I mean... This world seems very peaceful, at first glance. The people are happy, though the trouble comes around at every corner with troublesome people..." Draxus chuckled a bit as he recalled his adventuring troubles when he was living in the world for a month. "Yeah, hooligans keep showing up, demanding something called "fun with them" only for them to get beaten down. We pretty much handle the peacekeeping along with the knights." After reassuring her, Wendy turned around to take a glance towards Draxus, realizing that his work of peacekeeping is quite a large thing to work on. "Curious? Well, it's because the day we were stuck here, I immediately thought about magic when I got free time for the very first time. At that point, we were forced to... Trained to use magic along with our combat capabilities. It was then that I just grew used to it. Too bad I can't show you now though, I got sealed off recently by my own leader." Wendy tilted her head as if asking why he was sealed, Draxus noticed the gesture and obliged to answer. "Well, I kinda lost control of myself one time. I was using both time and dimensional magic to a level where it could potentially damage the entire world. It was a good thing that I was stopped since I wasn't exactly conscious of my surroundings. After that, there was pretty much nothing else, I was cooped up in some stasis capsule chamber and slumbered for a while. Speaking of which, I missed my birthday..." Draxus let out a dry laugh as he finally remembered about his own birthday and the other celebrations that were missed. You and your girls are free to come if you'd like, I'll host it in the castle tomorrow, just contact me if you wish to join." Wendy nodded in response while smiling a little bit. The invitation to the castle was something she understood as important due to their positions. She thought about declining at first but seeing as she gets to see her savior once more, she smiled once again. But that smile was caught on by Daniel and his group. "Draxus! What the hell are you trying to do?!" Harry shouted first inside the inn which startled the people eating inside it. Draxus sighed in response which was interpreted to them as him being annoyed by their behavior. "What do you want Harry?" Draxus had an exasperated tone as he immediately responded to him. In an instant, he was quickly found surrounded by the four guys. "Look, I don't know what kind of idea you have with Wendy but she's part of our group. Inviting them to that castle without us makes you suspicious." Daniel was the one who answered the question Draxus had towards Harry, but Draxus simply sighed once more as he was being picked on by the usual group in his school days. "Like come on, she's beautiful, and you have girls already on your pockets. You should be sharing some to the guys since we're-" Harry tried to continue his statement but he was suddenly stopped as a cerulean blade mysteriously appeared right in front of his neck. "Draxus has only recently recovered from two deadly missions in a row... I would recommend that all four of you to not bother him too much." Matilda was standing right in behind Harry while preparing to cut off his neck. "Don't do anything unnecessary Matilda..." Draxus smiled as he stopped her from slightly cutting Harry. "See guys, one of my ladies got offended, and you nearly died at that. I know you guys are salty since none of you were able to get a girlfriend since we graduated together. Heck, I actually know the reason why though." Draxus grinned smugly as he taunted the group to try harder. "All four of you are nothing but leeches after all. But feel free to try again, because the next punishment will be..." Matilda lowered her blade as to no longer interfere between them, but Draxus wasn't so merciful about that. He froze the legs of the four men to immobilize them and prepare ice spikes right under their nether regions. "I might as well remove your chances to get rid of your virginities." Fear enveloped within the group, but after Draxus dispelled the magic, their fear was converted to mockery. "In the end, you won't even have the guts to do i-! Ghh!!!" Before Daniel could finish his mockery, he was interrupted as a nail pierced through his left shoulder. Agony coursed through his entire body as he writhed while angrily looking up to Draxus. "Again, you run your mouth as if you can continue bullying me... But in this world, you can just not return and we'll at least allow your clone to live in the old world as your replacement." Draxus left the inn with Matilda walking beside him.
"Quite merciless aren't you today Drax?" Matilda leaned her head on his shoulder as the two of them walked towards the castle. "It can't be helped, those runts did nothing but bully me when I was younger. Er, two to three years younger I guess. But now, they're nothing but insignificants, I have nothing to hold back against them..." Matilda smiled as if she was able to see something new in Draxus. "You know, I thought that I will have to live my life, preparing myself to be married off to some guy I don't know..." Draxus caressed her head as his expression quickly turned serious. "Well, you are a princess after all, you have to oblige to that... We otherworlders value the time spend with the person before marriage, so I can't exactly sympathize completely, but I have read stories about such, so I completely understand how you felt those times." Draxus cupped her cheek that was leaning on his shoulder to the palm of his hand. "Aside from all that, I'm glad we found each other at the very least. Even if our first encounter was a deadly battlefield." Matilda chuckled for a little bit, as she immersed herself on the feel of his hand where she can fight together by his side. "When I met you from inside that cage, I thought that you dragged yourself to your own death... But I believed in you, after you told me that everything was okay... I ended up engaged with somebody who I used to know nothing about, but now I trust him with everything in me." Matilda's words were the same as a public confession, the two of them were in the plaza area where they could easily take a rest so they naturally gathered a huge amount of attention. But the two of them were oblivious to the gazes around them. Draxus simply smiled as he pulled Matilda into his arms for a hug. "Damn lovebirds! Get a room damnit!" Accompanied by a clicking shutter sounds, the two heard a familiar voice which came from a sentinel led by Draxus. "Keith... And Layla? Right?" Keith had a smug face as he continued taking pictures of Draxus and Matilda. Finally realizing what they were doing in public, they both let go of each other with red faces. "Damn right, you two have been flirting for quite a while as well! Did your time in the stasis make you flirty or something?" Despite having a strong tone on purpose to mess around, Keith kept his hand on his phone which continued taking pictures. "I look forward to the next Sentinel meeting!" Keith then took Layla's hand and bolted away from the location, not allowing Draxus to chase him. "Guh... He got us good..." The two had an awkward atmosphere as they completely showed a public display of affection, which was somewhat looked down upon by many people regardless of which world they are in. "Well... Shall we go? My princess, Matilda?" The awkward atmosphere was quickly dissolved as she took the hand Draxus had offered to her. They then walked back towards the castle in preparation for the party tomorrow.
