Serkyrio had gathered up the remaining members of the newly summoned batch and the team he brought for the mission. He then checked on the members first before making any speeches. "You three good?" He first checked on the three that fought against Iapetus without given the chance the use magic. Draxus was lightly swaying around while Arlesk and Remuel were staggering a little. "Yeah, it was just exhausting since we had to do a lot more than what we had before." Arlesk sat down while complaining about the dangerous power Iapetus held. Remuel added more into his statement. "As somebody who relies more on magic, it's hard for me to actually land hits. But seeing as he was able to use some sort of magic transformation while we can't even use anything, I know that we were heading straight to a loss." He then sat down the same way as Arlesk as they sighed in exhaustion, Draxus then gave his answer. "I haven't fought him in that form before, so we were clearly walking on unknown grounds, but he definitely had the absolute advantage. Even I can't fight him alone without multiple cards as I am right now..." He then shook his head sideways as if signifying that in a one versus one battle, they could potentially be screwed. "Arlesk though, considering his expertise." Serkyrio dismissed the talk for the time being and told them to prepare to head back.
A week later...
The dust had finally settled for the entire group as their busy schedules were slowly cleared up. Draxus had to go on five separate dates, Remuel prepared got himself comfortable in paperwork, while Arlesk led the continued development of the land. Serkyrio managed everything within the three of them which allowed this moment to happen. The four of them were in the peak of the highest mountain which they used as a place to have some leisure.
"Finally, we get to do this." Draxus sipped his tea and took a tile from the set. The four of them were playing a game of mahjong to take it easy for a while. Draxus then discarded a tile after swapping it with something else. "By the way Drax, have you given the two non-sentinels their title yet?" Serkyrio immediately raised that question to Draxus as he received the tile from him. "Not really, it's because I just thought up of a title for the both of them. Each member has a unique title you know?" Serkyrio discarded the tile and took from the pile. Seeing as he got a flower tile he had to take another one. "Makes sense, but you have checked on your set of newcomers right?" Draxus nodded in response to Serkyrio's question. In the five separate dates he had, he encountered the group which he was assigned to. Said group was Wendy and her circle of friends along with the guys. However, it didn't go that well for Draxus.
"They were really annoying you know? I encountered them three days straight and a total of four days during my dates. The guys were annoying runts in my student days, and they were trashing me for having multiple women. Saying that I should share and some kind of unholy bs." Draxus sighed as he waited for Remuel to give him a tile. "That actually violates the rule of adultery here. You may actually execute them in that case." Arlesk let out words without even caring about the lives of those that are garbage. "Ehh, it's not really necessary, it'll probably invite unnecessary trouble too." Draxus simply shrugged as he tried to receive the tile Remuel took out. Remuel on the other hand hesitated for a bit as he realized something. "Drax, you haven't dropped any melds yet?" Draxus nodded, dripping a little bit of cold sweat, Remuel immediately understood what he was going for. "Nine Gates?" Arlesk and Serkyrio started grinning while Draxus instantly lost his strength. "Guhh....." The game continued until Draxus dropped a tile for Serkyrio. "Sorry guys, thirteen wonders." In unison, the three of them flopped their face on the board without spilling the tea. Since Serkyrio was the dealer, the three felt completely helpless as they got demolished by their emperor. Despite that fact, they continued playing without letting them get bothered for a while. The girls of Draxus, Remuel, and Arlesk were chatting around nearby as they watched their loved ones enjoy their lives.
The next day, Draxus had to meet with the newcomers that were assigned to him, he brought along Matilda who was free at the time. "Sorry to drag you along with my issues Matilda I have to ensure that these newcomers will at least be able to simmer down after a while."
Draxus sighed exasperatedly as he was about to meet the male group which did nothing but complain about his lifestyle. He was assigned to help them out get used to the atmosphere and learn about the life in the word that they currently live in. He first talked with Wendy who was at first curious about him as to why he exists in both worlds along with her friend group. The males themselves were thinking about how to anger him and talked in a different spot, Draxus ignored them. "Well, I believe Serkyrio himself has paid a visit on Earth to find out that we got clones running all over the place. We'll probably dispose them sooner or later though, they could cause danger in that world as well. Aside from that, how's everyone? Getting used to this world so far?" Wendy nodded while casually answering him. "Yeah, we're starting to take guild requests from here, though the monsters are somewhat dangerous, but we won't take too much risks." Wendy glanced over to Matilda and set a curious gaze on her. "Another girl...? Hey, what's your relationship with Draxus?" Matilda tilted her head on Wendy's question before answering honestly. "Well, from a standpoint, I could be his personal knight, but I am one of his fiancés." Wendy was immediately taken aback while letting out a surprised sound. Draxus scratched the back of his head for a bit before giving out more details. "Well, it was a bit of a long last stand when I had arrived to her country. She was also very brave as a princess for joining the front lines though." Matilda turned her head towards Draxus and added even more detail while blushing. "But it was you who stood between me and the army when I was about to be used as hostage..." The two who began flirting right in front of Wendy and her group caused them to have more interest about how the relationship developed, but only Wendy was hesitant as she was also saved by Draxus on the conflict in the center of the world. Not only that but she herself remembers some things that weren't known by anybody in the building.
About a year ago, she was going home alone with a bit of unsettling feelings. She was being followed by strangers and a car driving without light. A feeling of fear had slowly coursed through her mind and heart as she began to walk faster. She was heading back home from an event all alone, without any company.
Eventually the men tried to call out for her, but she quickly attempted to escape towards the open areas with more people. The stalking continued but she encountered Draxus who was going home along with Serkyrio, Remuel, and Arlesk. "Oh? Aren't you that one cosplayer that posts online? Your stuff is really cool you know? It's almost as if I'm seeing the actual character itself in real life." Greeted with a praise, Draxus was the one who called out to her with a smile. It was then he noticed her discomfort and fear. He immediately turned to Serkyrio and told him something with a serious gaze, to which he instantly understood. "Hey, you okay?" There was no response from her out of her fear of being kidnapped, but she shook her head sideways as if telling that things are quite bad from her. Draxus immediately showed a smile and asked her while caressing her head. "I'll guard you on the way to your home alright?" He then turned towards Serkyrio telling them to go ahead. "I'll take a bit of a detour, you guys should go on ahead." Serkyrio simply trusted Draxus' judgement and left with the other two. Draxus and Wendy then went towards her home despite being followed still. She grasped on the sleeve of his jacket while having a somewhat awkward and tense atmosphere surrounding them. "Seems like they aren't letting up at all..." Draxus spoke up after a while and smiled a little bit. "They're getting a bit more impatient as well..." Draxus kept his composure while Wendy was completely enveloped with fear. Draxus noticed her demeanor which immediately comforted her for a bit by caressing her head. "It'll be fine, just hide behind me alright?" He then faced back and raised his voice. "Aight, come out now." Multiple men appeared where some of them were holding cameras. It was nothing but a brief moment for her, but Draxus quickly apprehended her stalkers. She was then brought to her home as she finally began to relax around him. "Ah! Your name! May I know it?" Draxus kept smiling as he easily spoke. "Draxus Heimdal, looking forward to your next cosplays alright?" They had multiple small chats whenever there was an event, until the time where he was summoned to the world they are in right now.
"You're still the same person as I have met before..." Wendy muttered quietly under her breath and sighed. Draxus and Matilda cut the storytelling of their time before the second summoning and invited them over a little bit of adventuring. Wendy accepted in vigor.
"That smile of yours while protecting people is still the same after all..." Wendy smiled as she fully reminisced her story with the man in front of her.
