Chapter 93 - Returning Home

After a few hours had passed since Serkyrio processed all the information he got. He transferred to a different location beforehand to avoid any military attacks that could disturb him from making a move. However, there was a lot of suspicion on his mind that he felt somewhat bothered by the situation. "Seeing as those guys are pretty much Cronus's council members, we can't underestimate them. They definitely have the powers to far surpass the heroes or maybe even us in certain aspects." Serkyrio was in a different place that was somewhat secluded away from the society. It was mountainous and has an abundance of trees in the surroundings. He used earth magic to create a cave to hide the perfect place to set down the dimensional gate. Before starting though, he called Harold.

"Ah Serkyrio, have you taken a good spot for the dimensional gate entrance?" Harold's voice passed through the phone and as Serkyrio placed it down on a makeshift table using creation magic. "Yeah, can I get the size of the portal, It'll be bad if you guys have to adjust the things regarding the location, I put it inside a cave after all." After getting the size of the portal, Serkyrio immediately thanked Harold and began modeling the place with his classic experience of interior decoration from Minecraft.

Around three days had passed since the completion of the cave redesign. Serkyrio finally felt relieved as the large room had a both modern and antique medieval design. Making him felt like at home with the atmosphere from earth, and the castle of Preeliance. Harold was in the room along with him setting up the other dimensional gate to connect them. Serkyrio was simply sipping some tea while sitting down at the table. Both were still chatting regarding the progress on Draxus's reawakening. "So, how's the stuff with Draxus?" Harold continued to work on setting up the dimensional gate while giving a reply. "Actually, we're currently unsure about the progress, there are reactions with the body inside the capsule here and there but the mana inside him is still quite corrupted. Purification is around fifty percent done though." Serkyrio hummed lightly in interest as he placed the teacup on the table. "Interesting, do you have an approximate on the awakening?" Harold shook his head sideways slowly as if indicating that there was no concrete information for it. "I see, his birthday had already passed and we're about to hit the new years. So when he awakens, we will celebrate his birthday and reawakening at the same time." Harold smiled and finished setting up the dimensional gate. "Alright, with this, we have finished the dimensional gate! I honestly expected to work on this for a few years but turns out, we finished our way back home." Serkyrio's expression turned a little bit annoyed for a second which got Harold to ask him about it. "Is something the matter?" Serkyrio nodded and then spilled the information. "Remember our last meeting, about the Council of the Skies as an enemy? And their army of hundred millions, probably even billions of homunculi?" Harold tilted his head and sat on the chair in front of Serkyrio. "Do you mean they have reached this place as well?" His expression turned serious as he immediately brought out a book. "Yeah, I encountered three council members who have the power to control somebody's will it seems, and someone that can detect me and use powerful light magic, perhaps even more than Arlesk himself." Harold narrowed his eyes and asked Serkyrio without wasting any more time. "What do you think they were doing here?" Serkyrio placed his hands over his mouth and let both his nose and chin rest on it while thinking. "It's not just them, there are copies of us in this world, made from their homunculi army." Harold's expression immediately changed to shock as he immediately understood the situation. "This means families can be used as hostages?" Serkyrio nodded and added in more information. "Seeing as multiple council members are here themselves, it's likely that they are the culprit of the summoning, turning it as a guise for Quisterion to summon [Otherworlders]." Harold then stood up from the chair and stepped back. "You mean!?" Serkyrio nodded once more, answering all of Harold's questions. "The fact that they didn't greet us, means that we're only test subjects for their summoning, to see if we could impact the war in here. The missing bits of history, are definitely them making a move to retrieve artifacts to create some sort of thing somewhere. We need to get the alliance for all fifteen countries, it will be difficult even for us to fight against an army of billions along with the council members." Harold nodded in response as he immediately began calculating some things. "How powerful are the homunculi again?" Serkyrio answered the question quickly which helped Harold in his calculations. "Around 75% of a hero's power for the silver ones, while the red ones are about 225%. Those are estimates according to Draxus's sentinels, we should continue this in the castle later." Harold nodded and immediately activated the portal back to the world they were [Isekai'ed] to.

After they returned to the dimensional laboratory, the first thing that greeted them was Remuel who was smiling in a good mood. Harold went to his room in a hurry to find some things that could help him gain some ideas to further assist the people. "Harold seems to be in a rush, did something happen in Earth?" Remuel kept his gaze at Harold until he left the room while leaving the door open. "Yeah, encounters with council members and clones of us in Earth. We can't just go there either since the military is aggressive to anything that uses mana." Remuel sighed with an expression that simply speaks: "Can't be helped..." Serkyrio shrugged his shoulders and simply explained the situation. "Regardless, we can't pay a visit to our families right now, they're not exactly lonely from us, but we have to eradicate those clones without catching the attention of the military." Remuel understood the idea to the point he began making countermeasures and disabled the portal temporarily. Serkyrio went to his office first to catch up on the amount of work that he missed.

"Ah! Welcome back! It was a little tough handling everything but it's all good, Andreus, and Arlesk came to help us in here from time to time." Charnet was the first to greet Serkyrio upon entering his office. "How's mom and dad by the way?" Serkyrio closed his eyes before giving the whole explanation to Charnet and his secretaries. All of them showed shocked expressions and worries due to the possibility of their parents being used as hostages. However, after considering things, they calmed down to a certain extent as the worry of their parents being lonely became non-existent. "So we still can't use the portal until we cleared our trouble here in this world?" Charnet pondered and asked Serkyrio a question about going home. But in her expectations, she immediately knew that it would be the case as Serkyrio explained the clone cleanup plan to occur after dealing with the wars and the missing history of the world. "But regardless, since you had quite a bit of a troubling trip, so allow yourself to rest for the time being and let us handle the paperworks." Serkyrio shook his head slowly telling them to not worry about it too much. "I'll continue the paperworks tomorrow, all of you should go get some rest by then." Serkyrio left the office and went to his room to take a rest for the day.
