Just in time to finally use magic, Draxus avoided the incoming lunge by Iapetus and dodged by making large movements to the side. Afterwards, he then summoned two hundred ice spikes in the sky for preparation. Aside from that, he generated multiple ice spikes to serve as stepping traps against Iapetus and activated [Crystal Groundwork] to drop the friction of the ground to zero. "What splendid preparation you have. To think that you managed to make this in less than a second is quite a dangerous feat." Draxus narrowed his eyes further as he sends multiple resonance waves to alert his group. "You yourself are a real threat. If you've come from earth then it's much more likely that you're capable of various concepts." Draxus sprayed a bit of ice magic straight to Iapetus and tried puncture him with multiple spikes from all directions. Five ice spikes fell down from the sky aiming towards his position but it was pretty much ending in vain. "Let's see about that, [Minute hand], [Abate]!" In that point, Draxus noticed that all of his ice and himself started moving much slower. After noticing such method, he infused the two swords he was equipped with the elements of electro and ice. "I don't know how to use this weapon completely, but it's pretty much a weapon meant for my boss only." Iapetus began talking after reappearing as someone who stood on top of Draxus's ice. "But, to think I'd be able to make use of this thing before I get my weapon rebuilt, it's quite exciting." Iapetus immediately dashed in such a way that prevents him from slipping on frictionless ground. Draxus, who had finally been able to move normally once again, managed to block the Zweihander with the katana while nimbly dodging the dirk. He then activated the infusion on the katana and froze the Zweihander completely in an instant. "Nu?!" Draxus twisted his body to try and slash Iapetus with the Heartseeker which was infused with electro but it was easily dodged as Iapetus finished a certain chant. "[Hour hand]! [Accelerate]!" In that point, the speeds of both Draxus and Iapetus skyrocketed to the point where Draxus almost threw off his own weapon. The ice had melted and Draxus ended up spinning twice from the speed. "Wha?!" Before even five seconds had passed, the time returned to normal. "So you can speed up the time to throw off my timings huh?" Draxus spouted complaints which Iapetus simply smiled in response. "[Minute Hand]! [Abate]!" With Draxus getting slowed down in movement of time once again, Iapetus took that chance to attack Draxus who took the chance to drop a huge number of ice spikes that were on standby in the sky at multiple positions he had calculated. "Guah!!!" Draxus was struck by the Zweihander which created a huge cut despite just being barely unable to get out of its range. Draxus blocked the second strike of the Zweihander with both swords but he wasn't able to do anything against the dirk which stabbed him from the side at accelerated time. "Guhh!!!" Because the grip on the dirk was tight, Draxus managed to remove it by moving his body away from Iapetus. He then activated the infusions of both elements which superconduct Iapetus. "Ghh!!!" Iapetus distanced himself immediately and raised up the Zweihander. "[Minute Ha-]!!" Multiple ice spikes from the sky hit Iapetus's shoulders and his chest area. Draxus took that chance as the slowdown effect was dispelled and surrounded him with ice spikes that rose up from the ground to pierce him in multiple areas of the body. The attack itself was unavoidable but Draxus added another problem to Iapetus and threw a total of forty nails to his current and future calculated positions. After getting way too close on hitting him, encased himself in a very thick glacier on instinct as he heard Iapetus continue his chant. While encased in ice, he immediately took out nails from his magic storage to restock quickly. "[Enhancement]! [Ricochet]!" He then threw all the nails in all directions while the glacier that encased him was instantly sliced. Draxus did all that just because he knew that Iapetus will stop time. Iapetus distanced himself quickly while letting out an impressed voice. "You can deal with stopped time huh?" Draxus took out seven tarot cards immediately with that chance while giving Iapetus a compliment to his dangerous abilities. "You too, to think that there's going to be enemies of mine who can put up a good fight. Oh well, time to end this! [Stack of Fortune]! [II - High Priestess]! [III - Empress]! [VIII - Justice]! [XI - Strength]! [XV - Devil]! [XVII - Stars]! [XIX - Sun]!" Aside from the four cards that greatly increase the fighting power of Draxus, he activated [High Priestess] for a better clarity of foresight, [Stars] to mend any injury and corruption that remained, and [Sun] to further improve the energies of the day and night cycle. The effect of the moonlight allows Draxus to manifest extreme level magic far beyond the limits of the best magicians. "[Freezing Cyclone]!" Draxus combined wind and ice magic to amplify his speed and reduce the temperature inside the area, causing Iapetus who was narrowing down his eyes in suspicion of the new cards. He tried to attack Draxus by speeding up time but he was completely predicted and blocked. "Now, let's begin our real battle!" Draxus and Iapetus began exchanging blows numbering about a hundred per few seconds. Iapetus continuously attempts to throw off Draxus's timings by constantly swapping the time flow by acceleration, deceleration, and temporal pauses. But Draxus continued using [High Priestess] which allowed him to see deeper and deeper into the moves made by Iapetus. The exchange continued as Draxus began to run out of mana. He eventually dispelled the [Sun] as a way to continue using [High Priestess], and then [Devil]. Because of that, Iapetus began to damage Draxus once again due to the cold wind slowing him down disappeared. Just as he was about to land a huge blow to Draxus, Draxus activated the reversed [Devil]. "Huh?" That single moment of him spacing out led to receiving a major injury from Draxus. Draxus pierced both swords he held in his hand through Iapetus. He then froze the insides with the katana and electrocuted Iapetus using the Heartseeker. "Guah!!!!" Iapetus spat out blood and got frustrated and angered to the fact that he ended up taking damage from Draxus. He returned back to reality and saw Draxus who was about to throw a huge number of nails towards him. He tried to activate the time movement in the Zweihander and Dirk but he dropped both weapons. However, he was lucky enough as Draxus ended up collapsing on the spot. "S-Shit... H-High... Prieste-... Guhoo!!" Draxus received a kick straight to the stomach to which Iapetus then closed his position to Draxus with the Zweihander. "You really put me in a lot of trouble huh?" Iapetus stabbed the Zweihander through Draxus's back which made Draxus simply twitch in reaction. "I was hoping to see what you are capable of, but looks like you are much more of a threat than I had expected." Iapetus raised the Zweihander up high before cutting off Draxus's unconscious head. Just as he swung it down, it ended up getting blocked by two swords which tried to resist him. The person that arrived to the battle was Jay. "Guh!!! Too Strong...!!" Iapetus simply pushed downwards with the assistance of gravity and ended up cutting a shallow part of Jay's shoulder. But before he could go any deeper, he noticed all kinds of elements being hurled towards his position as a barrier formed just in front of Jay. Iapetus dodged away and immediately escaped by speeding up the time flow he has.
"Draxus!!" Jay immediately checked Draxus who was lying down unconscious in the spacious arena on top of the cathedral. He shook the body while trying to bring out potions from his [Interdimensional Storage]. But just before he could do so, Audrey appeared beside him and checked Draxus. "Leader! Damn it! I should've realized the resonance sooner!" While activating a magic that prevents Draxus from dying, both Olivia and Gwen appeared and began to heal him through using magic. But the magic barrier was activated once again which prevented them to do so. Gwen decided to sing while having tears in her eyes to allow Olivia to use her level of healing magic once again. Both girls were panicked and worried as Draxus ended up getting heavily injured and lost a battle. All four of them knew, that if Draxus ended up losing the battle, then it's more than likely that they won't be able to do anything. "What do we do...?" Olivia had her tears flooding down once again while Gwen barely held it in and sang. Audrey clicked her tongue in complete frustration as somebody had hurt a good friend of hers. While Jay could only look at Draxus speechless and unsure of what to do. But it was him who decided to speak out to calm everyone down. "Everyone, we have to return to the headquarters where it's safe... Once Draxus wakes up, we'll discuss with everyone just what happened... Gwen, please invite the pope to the discussion, don't invite the hero. If this could happen to Draxus... We may need to rethink about our battle plans... That person who escaped was no hero... But it was way stronger than Axel..." Just as the wound closed and ensured that Draxus is alive, Gwen immediately nodded her head and understood Jay's words. Afterwards, Jay carried Draxus to his room as they returned.
After Jay and Audrey returned to their rooms, Olivia and Gwen remained next to Draxus who was still unconscious. "S-Say Princess Olivia..." Gwen opened her mouth while never letting her gaze away from Draxus. "What is it? Deaconess Gwen?" Gwen twitched in reaction as she couldn't exactly feel great about the formal tone. "P-Please call me Gwen... Princess Olivia..." Olivia shook her head sideways slowly as she replied calmly. "There's no need to call me Princess Olivia, just Olivia will do..." Gwen nodded and decided to drop the formal tone. "Olivia... H-How did you and Draxus meet...? Olivia smiled and turned her gaze to Gwen. "Well... It's a little bit long, want to hear it?" Gwen turned her gaze to Olivia and nodded. "Yes..."
