The next day, Remuel had waken up early from excitement. He drank some tea that he requested from the guards that patrolled around to be delivered to his room. The time was halfway to six, which the sun just began rising up to the sky. Remuel admired the beautiful view of the sunrise from a window and drank his tea peacefully. Breakfast in the castle begins five minutes after seven and even the ones who are lodging in the castle as researchers are treated to the food of the royalty. Remuel simply brought out his laptop and started making a lot of notes regarding the magics that he had researched. He then looked up to the sky and brought out the [Amalgam of Destiny] after gaining an idea. "[Amalgam of Secrets]" He poured magic as he flipped to a certain page and duplicated the magic circle from the page to the front of the rising sun and recited a script. "[Bring forth the secret of what I face]" The text that was scribbled on the book was written in Greek. However, Remuel himself knows and understand the Greek Alphabet without any issue whatsoever. It is one of the reasons why he is regarded as the evil genius of the world. He knows something even if the topic is completely specialized. His behavior doesn't show the typical arrogance of an evil person but he shows carefulness when it comes to dealing with other kinds of people. But there is a point where no man should try to enter inside. If his friends are harmed, he will kill the person without warning now that he had arrived in a fantasy world. Which is why in his appearance that is obviously evil, he will offer kindness to those he could trust. Through Serkyrio, he had extended that kindness to the royal family. So if somebody like Duke Elliot would harm anybody within the royal family, it would connect to hurting Olivia which is Draxus's fiancee, affecting Draxus. To his friends, Remuel will show no mercy to enemies. Similar to Draxus, he is the [Kindness in Evil]. His intellect by itself is already a threat to the current world. "I see, I see. I get it now." Remuel read the content of the book where text appears inside a box containing the information he needs to know. "During Solari, or day, an influence of heat and light will strengthen fire, light, and nature magic." Remuel pondered as he analyzed further and took notes into the laptop. He then left his room after changing to casual adventuring clothes five minutes before seven. He arrived to the dining room and began eating with everyone from the royalty group aside from Olivia, and then his friends. After eating, Remuel went towards Victorina and asked if she's ready. "Yeah, but did you check your phone? Draxus made an announcement." Remuel who noticed the announcement took out his phone and checked what kind of announcement it was. When he read the message, he immediately typed in the chatbox. "Here it comes, Scythe and Trident for me. What about you Victorina?" Victorina pondered for a bit before typing down her answer. "Magic staff for me, so I can amplify my magic and use it for anything." Remuel let out an interested voice [Heeeh...?] and checked his phone once more. He then found Serkyrio's request which instantly made him change his expression to despair with dead fish eyes. Victorina who saw Remuel's reaction to Serkyrio's request immediately shook him. "What is this three-section staff?" Ulysses who noticed Remuel's eyes went up to him and asked as well. Remuel then answered both of them vaguely as if describing past experiences. "The weapon... Of literal confusion..." Ulysses became confused but he couldn't really probe in further because of Remuel's state. After some time recovering, Remuel and Victorina had gone to the guild and finished their registration. They received the explanations and decided to take a white-ranked quest with a decent reward. "Goblins? Reward is two silver coins?" Remuel looked around for some more quests but didn't find most of the things with complete fancy. While looking for a decent request, a largely built man called out behind them. "Oy, are you two newbies?" When Remuel turned his gaze to the owner of the voice, he sighed in annoyance. The man was wearing a large sleeveless coat, and long trousers. He was emphasizing a lot of muscle and arrogance. But to the surroundings, many people shirked from the large man. "Remuel, I leave dealing with him to you? I'm not great with these annoying types." Without hesitation, Victorina let out words without even a single care to the atmosphere. Remuel nodded and faced the man who was angered. "Whattya just said?! Women like you should only lis-!" Remuel gripped the arm that tried to reach out to Victorina with his left hand and reached his other hand to the face of the man. "[Darkness, hallucinate the loss of your limbs]" Dark aura came out from Remuel and poured it to the man without even giving him time to react. "[Feel the pain, peasant] Be grateful that I only gave you hallucinations." After Remuel's chant, the man was filled with a mind where his limbs was cut off by a deadly scythe coming from Remuel. Within a single second, all four of his limbs were removed in his mind and brought out a lot of agony. Without even caring for the slightest bit, Remuel turned away and took out a yellow tier request and handed it to the receptionist. The receptionist who was surprised with Remuel's actions of being quick to handle things asked him. "It's not recommended to take quests that aren't your tier..." Remuel showed a serious smile and responded with sharp words. "That guy seems to be fairly strong with his gear right?" The receptionist then answered Remuel's question. "Y-Yes, he's a silver ranked adventurer that's known to be powerful for hunting powerful golems." Remuel was about to bring forth his business as a person wearing first-class clothing stopped them. "How about we stop it there?" The receptionist who heard the voice of a young man with a monocle over his gleaming yellow eyes and green hair. Remuel and Victorina turned their gaze over to the man. "G-Guild master?" The man who was referred to as the [Guild Master] raised his hand a bit as a signal to not worry about it. "Remuel Baphomet? Is it? And Victorina Elizabeth? Would you like to discuss this further in private?" Remuel and Victorina turned their gazes at each other. Remuel sighed while Victorina had an expression of [Can't be helped]. "Sure." Remuel who had Victorina respond for him let out another sigh. "Adventuring is really a hassle..." They were then led by the guild master to the upper floor.
"So, what's the catch?" Remuel immediately cut to the chase as to not waste as much time as possible. The green haired man then introduced himself before explaining. "First things first, my name is Soaz Ismene. Oswald told me to take care of both of you whenever you take quests from here." Remuel who recognized the name immediately probed into it. "Oswald? So that means he must have mentioned our abilities huh?" Soaz smiled as if he was expecting that kind of answer. "Correct, we exchange information regularly, so it was a thing that turned into our topic for quite some time. I've been wanting to meet your group in person after all." Remuel sighed out and inclined his back. "I see, so what does a guild master have business with us?" Victorina asked Soaz regarding his business with them. He took out a piece of paper that contains some kind of high level request. "Seeing as you easily handled our silver ranked adventurer. Do you wish to undertake a gold-tier quest?" Remuel narrowed his eyes to the sudden cliche development that he's completely familiar with. "Details." With a slight bit of pressure coming from Remuel, Soaz shrugged it off and explained the contents of the request. "This is a request regarding the current activity of many monsters on the forest on the east. It was said that there is an influence of a mutated earth dragon." Remuel immediately got the keywords and asked questions. "Mutated dragon you say? Then it's the perfect test subject for us then." Remuel made sure to include Victorina in his words, to ensure that she won't spit out complains of her missing out of the fun. "Do you accept? Of course, the reward is one platinum coin and instant rank-up to silver rank. I'll handle with the lies and preparations so that the reward is given properly." The second Remuel heard the word [Lies], he smiled widely. "You know how to impress me, we'll take the request." Victorina simply smiled and stood up as she took out a potion. "I made a quick analysis and it seems that you have stayed up for quite a long time already. If you're no longer busy, drink this [Potion of Remedies] that we have created and it will help you relax completely. We'll give this to you as thanks." Both of them immediately left the guild and went outside the town.
"Victorina, stop here, we're gonna have to fly." After Remuel told Victorina to stop, he brought out his [Amalgam of Destiny]. "[Amalgam of Bible]!" Angel wings grew out of Remuel's back but it didn't damage the clothing by one bit. "You know? Angel wings just doesn't fit you at all." Victorina let out a comment while laughing lightly. Remuel showed a slightly displeased face to her light mockery. "It doesn't feel good if you add insult to injury you know? Besides, don't worry about it since I'll fix this eventually." Remuel forcefully picked her up in princess-carry style and flew up high towards the eastern forest. Victorina let out a cute sound that was unbefitting for a woman similar to Remuel's age. "Kya!!" She blushed slightly at the sudden action but she spat out words of complaint. "You could've just used [Amalgam of Bible] to me!! It's embarrassing being carried like this!!!" A loud shout was heard over the sky as the two head to the eastern forest.
