Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 Felix’s And Silkie’s Date

As Felix waited at the bottom of the stairs wearing a blue hoodie with the hood up he mumbled "I know I agreed to do this date thing… but… I hardly know anything about this kinda stuff." As Felix thought about what she told him he sighed and said "I need to calm down… she already explained why she did it." As Silkie approached from behind wearing a cute frilly dress he glanced at her and nervously mumbled "B-but my instincts won't let me relax at all." Silkie smiled as she said, "I hope I didn't make you wait too long." Felix stared at her as he nervously said "N-not at all." Silkie smiled as she walked ahead of him and said "After visiting you last night I finally planned out what we're gonna be doing on our date." Felix followed behind her about a yard away without saying a word as he thought "I should use today to get used to being around her… if I can even get an inch closer to her without panicking then I'll consider this successful." Silkie glanced behind herself at Felix and stared at him for a moment before asking "Why are you so quiet?" Felix stared at her for a moment and then said "N-no reason… I'm just preparing myself mentally."

As he said this he panicked and covered his mouth as he thought "Crap… I probably shouldn't have said that." Silkie smiled as she said, "You know I can only kill you when your tail is exposed right?" Felix flinched as he nervously said "R-really?" Silkie thought for a moment as she said "Well… as far as I know that's the only way to kill you." Silkie turned around and poked his chest as she said "Though… I could temporarily kill you and force your tail out if I pierce your heart." Felix quickly backed away and held his chest as he nervously said "Telling me that part doesn't exactly calm me down as much as the first part." Silkie continued to walk ahead of him as she said "Well I won't try anything like that… so don't worry too much." Felix stood there for a moment and then began to follow her again as he mumbled "Saying it isn't very convincing… especially after you just told me how you would kill me." As Felix followed behind her she stopped and said "We're here." Silkie pointed to a massive building that they were standing in front of and said "This is where we're going." Felix stared at it for a moment and said "This doesn't look like a cafe." Silkie smiled as she glanced at him and excitedly said "That's because it's a mall!"

Silkie got closer to him as she said "Originally I was gonna bring you out to have a picnic, but after seeing that you were able to hide your tail I decided that I'd bring you someplace more populated and teach you some human things while we enjoy ourselves!" Felix stared at her with a blank expression for a moment and then asked "What's a mall?" Silkie thought for a moment and then said "It's a building with other mini buildings inside, like restaurants or shops." As Silkie said this began to enter the mall as she said "Come on, let's go look at some of the stores." Felix stared at the building for a moment and then followed her in as he said "But I don't have any of that… what was it called? That Stuff people use to trade." Silkie glanced at him with a smile and said "The thing you're talking about is money, and also don't worry about it, I have enough for the both of us to enjoy ourselves." Felix stared at her cheerful face as he sighed and said "You know I have no way to pay you back right?" Silkie smiled at him as she said "I'm not gonna have you pay me back, besides I'm the one who invited you out today." Felix stood there for a moment and then nervously asked "I-is this one of those things where you don't mention something and then force me into doing something later?"

Silkie stared at him for a moment and then said "If you're asking if any strings are attached there might be one or two but they aren't too important right now." Felix flinched as he said, "A-at least you're being honest about it." Silkie excitedly turned around and began to walk towards a clothing store as she said "Now then, let's do a bit of shopping!" Felix followed behind her as he nervously asked "C-can you at least give me some sort of hint about what those strings are?" Silkie continued walking as she said, "Nope, I'm not giving you any hints just yet." As they entered the store Felix continued to stand at least a yard away from her as he asked "Can I at least know how many strings are attached?" Silkie glanced at him with a smile as she said "I suppose I could tell you that." Silkie thought for a moment and then held up two fingers as she said "There are two, and for the first string I want you to try on whatever clothes I pick out." Felix glanced around at some of the clothes as he asked "B-but… won't they see my ears if I just change right here?" Silkie stared at him for a moment and then pointed to a changing room as she said "You can go behind that curtain and change there." Silkie grabbed a shirt from one of the racks and smiled as she said "Now then, go and put this on so I can see how you'll look."

Felix took the shirt from her and walked over to the changing room as he sighed and said "I'll go put it on." As Felix went behind the curtain Silkie excitedly said "I bet the other three would be jealous if they didn't get to see him in these clothes." Silkie thought for a moment as she excitedly said "I better take lots of pictures and show them once we get back." As she waited Felix walked out in a shirt with a sun wearing sunglasses on it that read "Too hot to stop." Felix stood there looking disappointed as he asked "I get the feeling that I look really stupid." Silkie quickly took a few pictures and handed him more clothes as she excitedly said "Quick now try this on!" Felix stood on the other side of the curtain as he asked "But what if someone sees my ears when I open the curtain?" Silkie picked out some more clothes as she said, "Don't worry, I checked before coming here today and it seems that there should be fewer people here than usual." As Felix stepped out wearing a suit he fixed the tie and asked "Why is this so uncomfortable." Silkie took a few more pictures as she said "Oh… I thought you'd need my help to put the tie on."

Felix pulled at the collar of the suit as he said "It took me a little bit to figure out where it was supposed to go but I got it." Silkie handed him some more clothes and a cowboy hat as she said "Try these on next!" Felix stared at the clothes for a moment and then asked "Do people really wear these?" Silkie pushed him back into the curtain with the clothes as she said, "Just try them on." As Felix put those clothes on he walked out looking like a cowboy as he asked "I-is this… really necessary?" Silkie walked around him admiring the outfit and taking pictures as she said "This is all a part of the dating experience, so let's just try a few more outfits before we go look at some other stores." Silkie handed him some more clothes as she excitedly said "And don't forget about that other string! I'll definitely use it soon." Felix stared at the clothes she gave him as he thought "Just how many of these uncomfortable clothes does she want me to try on?" Silkie began to search through some more clothing as she said "I wonder what I should have him wear next." Felix went back behind the curtain as he mumbled "Whatever… I already agreed to this so I might as well go through with it."

Felix stared at the shirt she handed him for a moment and seen a picture of a fox on it that read "Stay foxy." Felix stared at the shirt for a moment looking annoyed as he mumbled "T-this shirt… kinda pisses me off." Felix peeked out from behind the curtain as he asked "C-can I not try this one on?" Silkie glanced at him while holding her phone as she said "Nope, you have to wear it and I have to see you in it." Felix stared at her for a moment and then sighed as he said "Fine… I'll wear the stupid shirt." As he stepped out wearing the shirt Silkie began to laugh as she said "Seeing a fox spirit in that is hilarious." Felix glared at the shirt he was wearing as he mumbled "I feel mocked."
