Once Silkie finally left Felix collapsed onto his bed and mumbled "Finally… I can relax a little." Felix jumped as he heard the voice say "It's time for that punishment I mentioned." As a blue fire began to engulf the room Felix sighed and said "I jinxed it… I should've kept my mouth shut!" As he was completely engulfed by the flames he appeared beside a small child-like girl who had a purplish shade of hair and purple eyes someone was holding. Felix stared at the small girl who looked to be six or seven for a moment as he nervously asked "Am I gonna get in trouble for this too?" The girl smiled as she said, "Don't be an idiot, I'm that voice you've been hearing." Felix took a few steps back while saying "Even more reason to avoid you." As the girl blew the lamp out she said "If you keep acting like that I'll be sure to make your punishment a lot worse." Felix flinched as he nervously said "O-okay… what is this punishment anyway?" The girl pointed at him as she said "The punishment is…" as she stopped talking Felix nervously asked, "Is what?" The girl thought for a moment as she said "Maybe boiling in a pot for a few hundred years."
Felix stared at her in fear as he said "Few… hundred years?" The girl stared at him for a moment as she said "But that might be too much since it is partly my fault, but mostly yours for trusting me." Felix stared at her annoyed as he thought "You little brat… I trusted you." The girl pointed at him as she smiled and said "Exactly you shouldn't have trusted me, and if you even do much as think of me as a brat again I'll lock you in a cage and toss away the key, understand?" Felix began to panic as he quickly said "I-I would never think of you as a brat, i-in fact I think you're a very wise and smart young girl." The girl smirked as she said "Young? I'm much older than you, and much more powerful too." Felix stared at her in disbelief as he thought "Is this little girl delusional?" The girl pointed at him as she said "If you continue to think ill of me I'll have you hung upside down while a fire burns beneath you." Felix flinched as he mumbled "She figured out what I was thinking again? Could she be… reading my mind?" The girl nodded as she said with an annoyed look on her face "Yes I am, now can we get on with why I brought you here." As the girl turned to Felix while pointing at him without saying a word Felix quickly and nervously said "I swear I didn't think of anything this time."
The girl smirked as she said, "I know, but I've decided that your punishment will be helping me with some of my work." Felix stood there for a moment as he tilted his head in a confused manner and said "Your… work?" The girl nodded as she said, "Yup, so let's get this done so I can slack off." Felix stared at her as he thought "She's very… to the point." The girl scowled at him "I know you were about to mentally say straightforwardly lazy." Felix flinched as he said, "I didn't even get the chance to think it." The girl pointed to him as she said "Whatever, let's go banish some spirits so I can go back to the shrine!" As the girl began to lead him down a path she said "I don't know if you've noticed or not yet, but we aren't quite in the human realm anymore." Felix glanced around at the trees as he asked "Is that why I feel like I'm being watched?" The girl glanced at him as she said "Of course, there are hundreds upon hundreds of spirits that roam these forests after death, and it's my job to banish the ones that are causing mischief." As a ball rolled onto the path in front of them Felix stopped moving and stared at it for a moment as he asked "What do these spirits usually do?"
The girl picked up the ball as she said "They usually do whatever they want but a few try to go back to society by busting out of here… although… I don't know why they'd go and do that, besides, most of their relatives are here… whatever their reason we must banish them." Felix stood there as she tossed the ball back into the forest as he thought "Does that mean that Vex broke out of here?" The girl glanced back at Felix as she said "No… she didn't… spirits can also get out of here through some other method… she just so happened to use that method." As Felix thought about Vex hanging out with Daka he smiled and said "Maybe… they just wanna try and live the life they couldn't when they were alive… and to do that… they can't wait." The girl stared at him with an annoyed look as she said "I sent you there for my entertainment… don't go getting sappy on me because of it." Felix flinched as he said, "R-right… sorry about that." As they continued down the path they crossed over a river while asking "Do you know what we just did?" Felix thought for a moment as he said "Cross a bridge?" The girl stared at him completely disappointed in his answer as she said "You really are new to this aren't you."
The girl pointed to the river as she said "We just left that ghost forest, now that we've crossed that little river we're completely back in the realm of the living." Felix stared at the forest as he asked "Then why do I still feel like I'm being watched?" The girl pointed to the other side of the river as she said "Squint your eyes a little… you should be able to see a few spirits waving at us." As Felix began to squint he seen some blurry figures waving at him as he said "I can kinda see them." The girl began to walk off as she said "Although that place is typically human free humans can wander into it, same with other yokai." As Felix followed her he asked, "Is that forest the only place the dead go?" The girl glanced at him and smiled as she said "Of course not… there all sorts of places the dead can go to rest." As they walked the girl pointed to her own eyes and said "While we're on the topic of spirits, you should also be able to see that Vex person if you look hard enough… although it might be difficult since your not as powerful as me." As they walked Felix stared at her without saying a word until she asked "What do you want, you've been staring so intently at me with your gaze this entire time."
Felix continued to stare at her as he awkwardly laughed and said "You noticed that? Well, I was just wondering what kinda yokai you were." As the girl stopped moving Felix stopped behind her as she then turned and said "I'm also a fox spirit." Felix stared at her for a few moments and then crouched down and began to pat her butt as he asked "But then where's your tail?" The girl's face turned bright red as she quickly moved away while shouting "I'm clearly hiding them you idiot, why would you just suddenly touch me there!" Felix stared at her for a moment as he asked "Then can I see?" The girl took a step back and then cleared her throat as she said "Perhaps… but if you try anything I'll throw you off of a mountain." The girl's face was still red as she pointed at Felix and shouted "Got it?" Felix nodded as he said, "Yeah yeah whatever, hurry up and show me." As nine tails and two fluffy ears appeared on her Felix said "Oh… you have a lot more tails than me." The girl nodded as she said, "Of course, it's because I'm much wiser and stronger than you." Felix began to walk around her as he asked "What does that have to do with your tails?"
The girl glared at him as she said "You seriously don't know?" Felix shrugged as he said, "I'm still pretty new to this." The girl pointed at his tail as she said "A fox spirits tails both keep them alive and give them their power, they can gain more through various methods, such as living a long life or completing a task from a god." Felix stared at her in disbelief as he said "A god asking for help? I get the feeling your making some of this up." The girl pointed at him while shouting "I'm not making up anything, in fact, four of my tails were gifted to me from various gods." Felix began to rub one of her tails as he said "You don't say." As the girl glared at him she grabbed him by the top of his head and threw him through three trees while shouting "You pervert!"
